  • Recently, the role of the kitchen has evolved from the space for previous survival to the space that shows the present life and culture. Along with these changes, the use of IoT technology is spreading. As a result, the development and diffusion of new smart devices in the kitchen is being achieved. The user experience for using these smart devices is also becoming important. For a natural interaction between a user and a computer, better interactions can be expected based on context awareness. This paper examines the Natural User Interface (NUI) that does not touch the device based on the user interface (UI) of the smart device used in the kitchen. In this method, we use the image processing technology to recognize the user's hand gesture using the camera attached to the device and apply the recognized hand shape to the interface. The gestures used in this study are proposed to gesture according to the user's context and situation, and 5 kinds of gestures are classified and used in the interface.

  • Currently, state-of-the-art devices such as SPECT, PET/CT, and PET/MRI are rapidly spreading nationwide, and the penetration rate of nuclear medical devices is also ranked fifth in the world. However, PET/MRI's system is slower and less common because it is more complex than PET/CT. The purpose of this study is to provide optimal information on PET/MRI according to the patient's disease. The subjects obtained information on head and neck cancer, pediatric patients, breast cancer patients, heart disease patients, lung cancer patients, and rectal cancer patients. We tried to accumulate protocols by obtaining a lot of information about each disease. In diagnosing head and neck cancer, it is believed that it is highly likely to be used in evaluating preoperative stage determination, recurrence and remote metastasis after treatment, and unclear primary cervical lymph node metastasis. Diagnosis and continuous follow-up of pediatric patients can increase patient benefits by minimizing radiation exposure. Breast cancer provides a comprehensive evaluation of the clinical need to determine the extent of disease in breast and local lymph nodes and the systematic stages of early diagnosis or recurrence. In diagnosing heart disease patients, MR-based PET motion correction helps to realize the full potential of PET images. For lung cancer patients, the clinical value and usefulness of the resolution and detection ability of integrated PET/MRI for soft tissues such as lung cancer will be sufficient. In diagnosing rectal cancer patients, the detection of missing residual diseases can change the clinical response evaluation for rectal cancer patients treated with TNT, and both the initial stage and treatment response evaluation are possible. Therefore, this literature study provided basic clinical data for PET/MRI tests.

  • In this paper, the interfacial dielectric breakdown phenomenon of interface between Epoxy/EPDM (ethylene propylene diene terpolymer) was discussed, which affects stability of insulation system of power delivery devices. Specimen structure was designed by using MAGSOFT's FLUX2D based on the finite elements method. Design concepts is to reduce the effect of charge transport from electrode in the process of breakdown and to have the tangential electrical potential with the Epoxy/EPDM interface. AC interfacial breakdown phenomenon of was investigated by variation of interfacial conditions oil and temperature which are supposed to have influence on the interfacial breakdown strength. Interfacial breakdown strength was improved by spreading oil over interfacial surface. The decreasing ratio of the AC interfacial breakdown strength in non-oiled specimens was increased by the temperature rising and its of oiled specimens was not affected by temperature.

  • Zinc complexes with bis[2-(o-hydroxyphenyl) naphtol [1,2] oxazolato ligands (ZnPBO-4) and its derivatives (ZnPBO-S) were synthesized, and luminescent properties of these materials were investigated. Both the fluorescent emission band and electroluminescent emission band were discussed based on their ligand structure differences. The emission band found that it strongly depends on the molecular structure of introduced ligand. It was tuned from 446 nm to 491 nm by changing the ligand structures. Spreading of the ${\pi}$-conjugation in 2-(o-hydroxyphenyl) group gives rise to a blue shift. The EL properties also showed good consistency with their differences of ligand structure. Bright-blue EL emission with a maximum luminance of 3,100 $cd/m^2$ at 12V, current density, 575 $mA/m^2$ was obtained from the organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) using ZnPBO-4 as emitting layer. It was also found that the newly synthesized materials were suitable to be used as emitting materials in organic EL device.

  • IoT technology is evolving and related services and technologies are spreading throughout the life. These IoT technologies make life easier for users, but they also have big threats like double-edged swords. Therefore, the importance of security is emerging and related researches are actively proceeding. Existing researches have focused on reducing the computational load on the constrained devices, performing the DTLS for the end-to-end security from a network architecture perspective. In this paper, we propose a DTLS protocol that uses ECQV certificate instead of existing X.509 certificate to reduce the load of DTLS protocol from the network perspective. In addition, the proposed scheme is implemented and compared with PSK and RPK modes.

  • Seismic isolation devices are commonly used to mitigate damages caused by seismic responses of structures. More damages are created due to progressive collapse in structures. Therefore, evaluating the impact of the isolation systems to enhance progressive collapse-resisting capacity is very important. In this study, the effect of lead rubber bearing isolation system to increase the resistance of structures against progressive collapse was evaluated. Concrete moment resisting frames were used in both the fixed and base-isolated model structures. Then, progressive collapse-resisting capacity of frames was investigated using the push down nonlinear static analysis under gravity loads that specified in GSA guideline. Nonlinear dynamic analysis was performed to consider dynamic effects column removal under earthquake. The results of the push down analysis are highly dependent on location of removal column and floor number of buildings. Also, seismic isolation system does not play an effective role in increasing the progressive collapse-resisting capacities of structures under gravity loads. Base isolation helps to localize failures and prevented from spreading it to intact span under seismic loads.
