In the middle of economic and mental riches in the 21st century, the importance of well being and the pursuit of happiness are emerging as the new trend. Thus the lifestyle that values comfortable and practical naturalness and intrinsic merits has come to influence the human life rather than the old showing-off and formal desire. In addition to this, the spread of the five day week has given more leisure time, which has led to the increasing interest in health and leisure. The interest in sports has skyrocketed since the successful holding of the 2002 Korea and Japan World Cup event. All these changes to the lifestyle have contributed to the fusion of luxury wear and sports wear. As the result of the consumers in the 21st century having more classified and upgraded way of living thanks to the settlement of the above-mentioned lifestyle and the enlargement of the leisure sports culture, there has appeared the wellness kin, who value the importance of life and the nature and believe in the idea that they can reconstruct the environment in the way they can enjoy their lifestyle and pursue happiness. They favor healthy fashion items and think much of exercise, nutrition, and rest. They pursue the natural and comfortable style, whose ideas came from simple exercises such as health training and yoga and the easy and comfortable look observed at resorts. Their fashion style can be divided into three of fitness fashion, yoga fashion and resort fashion. First, the boxer fashion is characterized by the relaxing design and practicality. The major items of the fashion include running shirt-styled upper clothes, training pants, hooded shirts and sneakers. Simple and comfortable look should be induced from the combination of the items. Second, the yoga fashion was motivated by the comfortable yoga wear. It advocates stress-free spirit and comfortable and stable naturalism. Along with the advantages of the good feeling to wear and the functionality to help exercise better, the yoga fashion gives the wearer enough room to move around in, using the unique lines. Third, the resort wear refers to the kinds of clothes you tend to wear at the beach and the park. There are various kinds of the resort look; bathing suits, the beach wear you can wear with the bathing suit, the resort evening wear, the full-side look that you try on top of the bathing suit and is made of the same material of the bathing suit, and the marine look, the symbol of the summer. In short, the study attempted to investigate many trends occurring as the result of human recent increasing interest and concern in the quality of life, and the impacts of them on the fashion world. This kind of research that examines the background of the times and society will help to grasp with the fashion trends of the present and the future. And more studies should be conducted on the development of new and original design in clothes fashion, which reflects the characteristics identified in this kind of research.
Currently, a lot of people are aware of their health and well-being, so they are concerned about their healthcare. 'Taekwondo' is one of the popular sports that Korean people are passionate about Taekwondo has also become globalized. The uniform of Taekwondo is gaining importance. Taekwondo involves a lot of movement, hence the pattern should facilitate the movement. In addition Taekwondo uniform pattern should meet the demands of functionality, fit and consumer design preferences. This study aimed to provide the basic data for development of Taekwondo uniform pattern based on design preferences and functionality to wearer satisfaction. The result of this method indicated fit and design details. Also, the length of pants, top, and sleeve was too wide, which has to more fitted for both of genders. For females, the breakpoint was too low, which requires some increase to make females feel more secure. In conclusion, the results of this study indicated that in order to increase 'Takwondo' value, Taekwondo uniform is required to be more fashionable and comfortable to wear, which could influence other sports wear.

This study investigated the purchase status, wearing status, purchase satisfaction, selection criteria, and improvement marin leports wear for subjects who enjoy marine leisure sports in the southwestern region of Jeollanam-do, and examines the correlation between age and body type and the correlation between variables. SPSS Ver. 26.0 program was used for analysis. In the correlation between the motivation for participation and the selection criteria, when participating to increase physical strength, it was selected based on the fit. When participating for leisure or hobbies, they were selected based on design and color. The relationship between the selection criteria and purchase satisfaction was not satisfied in terms of price when they were selected based on activity or utilization of other uses. As for the selection criteria according to the body type, clothing was selected based on price and fashion for large triangles and squares, and elasticity for inverted triangles. As for the preferred color by age, only those in their 40s preferred blue and other age groups preferred achromatic color. In future studies, it is thought that a study on the preference of each marine leisure sports item should be conducted.
The study was conducted to investigate the aesthetic characteristics expressed on the Prada Sports Fashion which has been strongly affected to fashion trend of domestic sports wear since the mid of 1990th, and to contribute to make domestic sports brand be competitive. The qualitative method using the materials such as fashion magazines and journals, information from the domestic fashion research center and internet, relating fashion books and journals etc, was used for the study. The results were as follows: First, use of heterogeneous design factors or coexistence of the past and the present were expressed as post-modernism effect. Second, strong moderation through the mimalism which has been dominated world fashion since 1990th was expressed. Third, high function including technology has been expressed. These aesthetic characteristics will be helpful for us to prospect 21c sports fashion which will be activated increasingly according to well-being life style.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the aesthetic characteristics of PRADA's sports fashion, leading the fashion trend and one of the most influenced designers in 1990's, and thereby, helps to forecast them in the future. We studied the concept of sports fashion and the historic background of PRADA sports fashion. We also used corroborative method resolving Internet illustrated magazine, fashion journals and magazines so as to analyze the aesthetic and formative features from 1990's up to now. The results were summarized as follows ; The sports fashion in 1990's was classified into functional sportswear and town sports look. The functional sportswear can be separated into active sportswear and street sportswear. Town sports look that has been combined the elements of design in active sportswear had characters slim silhouette and simple details influenced by minimalism and reflected on the mainstream of 1990's lifestyle. Especially, PRADA's town-wear using high-tec textiles for sportswear affected on other couturiers and settled down them in the world wide fashion trend with her aesthetic expression. The aesthetic characteristics of PRADA's sports fashion appear the zenith of the minimalism and the elements of postmodernism which expressed remarkably the advanced future and familiar past at the same time as like high-tec materials, and classic silhouettes with functional details. Finally, we are able to anticipate that the aesthetics of PRADA sports look will be continued in the 21C with concerning about well-being, health, and sports & leisure.
The purpose of this study were 1) to analyze customer relationship management(CRM) based on the online customer experiences by product types (i.e., men's, women's, casual, sports wear), 2) to analyze CRM based on the off-line customer experiences by product type, and 3) to examine customer purchase behavior of fashion products and internet usage behavior by product types. Survey and 1:1 interview were conducted from January 13th to May 16th, 2005. Six consumers from each brand (i.e., 3 loyal customers and 3 general customers) in a total of 24 customers were selected from each product type. For the data analysis, content analysis and descriptive statistics (i.e. frequency) were used. Among the key study findings first, as a result of the on-line CRM experience, the customers of men's wear preferred receiving customized information through e-mail or SMS service. The customers of sports wear preferred receiving a different level of information and participating in customized product service. Second, as a result of the off-line CRM experience, the customers of men's wear need to be encouraged to join a membership at a sales encounter and the customers of women's wear preferred receiving quick information of new products and participating in a design development planning of the merchandising process. Third, the purchasing behavior of the customers of women's wear are influenced mostly by the salesperson and the store atmosphere when they purchase clothes and the customers of men's wear are price-sensitive. The results of this study can be used when fashion brands perform strategic planning and decision making on CRM.
The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of developed assisting wear which maximize trunk(back) muscle's stretch-shortening effect during backswing and downswing for increasing golf ball carrying distance. Design and fabrication of assistive wear were performed based on the results of analyzed data of trunk EMG activity from the golf drive swings of elite professional male golfers during back swing and downswing phases. After the prototype of wear was produced, surface EMG and Flight scope tests were conducted to verify the effectiveness of the wear for increasing distance to the professional golfers. Results indicated that wearing trial showed significant longer carry distance than the non-wearing trial(p<.001). The carry distance of wearing trial showed an average 229 m compared to the non-wearing trial, the average 225 m. The swing with wearing also produced significantly faster ball speed than the trial without wearing(p<.05). Average 245 Km/h and 244 Km/h were produced for the swing with and without wearing trails, respectively. EMG results also indicated that the muscle activity of left psoas was significantly increased for wearing trial during downswing and near the impact. Thus, this may affect positively to increase club head speed. The activity of the left latissimus dorsi was dramatically increased during the final stage of swing. This generates elongation effect for longer follow-through and increased impulse between club and ball so eventually valid assistance to increase carry distance. Therefore, the developed assisting wear was proved to be effective tool for increasing golf ball carry distance with maximizing trunk(back) muscle's stretch-shortening effect during backswing and downswing.

This study provides basic reference data to develop sports brassieres appropriate for women in their forties and fifties. The study focused on analyzing the exercise status, brassiere-wearing conditions, purchase conditions, preferred design and functionality by age as well as exercise strength based on 393 questionnaires. Middle-aged women favorite exercises included running, yoga and golfing; in addition the most important purpose to exercises was healthcare. The largest number of respondents exercised once to three times a week for 3 years or longer. The analysis on sports brassiere-wearing conditions by exercise strength showed that those who favor intense exercise tended to wear sports brassieres more frequently. In addition, many complained about breast-shaking and an unsatisfactory shape when they wore a sports brassiere. The analysis on purchase conditions showed that increased interest in intense sports led to more use of specialized sports shops. The analysis of the design and functionality preference showed that increased interest in intense sports increased interest in a body-wrapping sports brassiere design. The most frequently required functions also included the prevention of breast-shaking and a fixed brassiere-position.

This study analyzed wearing conditions to develop an optimum sports brassiere for women in their 50s. A total of 35.9% of the women exercised three times a week and 51.1% had been exercising for more than 2 years, and 58.5% exercised for 30 minutes to 1 hour each day. Regarding the question of whether women wore a sports brassiere when exercising, 54.8% of the respondents answered 'No'. 73.9% of the respondents found a sports brassiere stuffy. The most important factors in purchasing a sports brassiere were wear comfort and functionality. In particular, more exercise demanded greater functionality. When purchasing a sports brassiere, the price range was the highest for 84.3% of the respondents at less than 50,000 won, and 45.2% preferred achromatic colors. A total of 47.9% preferred the length of the sports brassiere to be about 5 cm from the bust; however, the respondents who exercised more preferred shorter length sports brassiere. A total of 57.6% of the respondents preferred the width of the shoulder strap to be 1-3 cm; however, respondents who exercised more preferred the shoulder strap to be more than 3 cm wide. Most respondents preferred the sports brassiere to have a moderate degree of compression at the front breast area.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the demand for functional elements of sports climbing shirts. Questionnaire survey data were collected from adult (n=53) and adolescent (n=55) sports climbers. The questionnaire explored respondents' sports climbing activities and need for functional design features of sports climbing shirts. Their design preferences and purchasing value were also investigated. The results showed that respondents regarded ergonomic design and the use of intelligent material as important elements of expert-level sports climbing shirts. Compared to adolescent, adult respondents were more susceptive to functional design elements such as suitability for climbing motions and ease of dressing or undressing. Also, adult sports climbers were more likely than adolescents to prefer shirts that are tightly fit at the chest. Neither adults nor adolescents favored shirts design that is tightly fit at the neck or armpit. The regular shirts length not covering hips and sleeve length ending at the wrist were preferred. The collar stand should not hit the chin. Adult climbers preferred ergonomically designed sleeves on the back shoulder. Adults and adolescents had different preferences for the front neck zipper length. Adults preferred long front zipper length at chest. These findings suggest that sports climbing shirts should have functional features to prevent interference with climbing movements and improve convenience and stability.
