  • Crowdsourcing models in which organizaions obtain needed product ideas and services from a crowd in a network-based society are rising as a global industry trend. The purpose of this study was to figure out the types and characteristics of crowdsourcing design shown in the domestic fashion brands, and to provide implications for design strategies using crowdsourcing. This study was based on qualitative research which was brand case studies on crowdsourcing design in the fashion industry from January 2006 to July 2017. Also, quantitative analysis using frequency and percentage was applied. The results were as follows: First, crowdsourcing design was used in almost all types of fashion brands, such as sports and outdoor wear, men's wear, women's wear, men's and women's casual wear, shoes, bags, school uniforms, jeans, accessories, etc. Crowdsourcing design in the fashion industry was classified into three types: crowdsourcing graphics and artwork; crowdsourcing customized designs; and crowdsourcing product designs. Of the three types, crowdsourcing graphics and artwork was used most. There were four methods to choose the best crowsourced design: review only by experts, voting by crowd and review by experts, crowdvoting, and crowdfunding. Second, the characteristics of crowdsourcing design were openness, participation, reward and acknowledgement, sharing and interaction, and individualized collective intelligence. Crowdsourcing design could be used as an open innovation strategy in the fashion industry, which could collect new and creative design ideas for product development, resulting in the satisfaction of consumers and benefitting the company.

  • This study evaluated the wear comfort properties of water-vapor-permeable (WVP) garments using a movable sweating thermal manikin. Manikin tests were performed in a climatic chamber (temperature T=20, $35{\pm}0.5^{\circ}C$ and relative humidity $H=50{\pm}10%$) using seven sportswear outfits (a long sleeve shirts and a long pants) made with seven different WVP fabrics. Physiological responses of wear trials could be correlated with measurement parameters of the thermal manikin experiment; subsequently, a regression model that represented a final comfort sensation could be obtained. The regression model developed in this work is based on thermal manikin measurements; consequently, it provides an independent comfort sensation level in a relatively short time at a low cost while maintaining the reproducibility of results. It translates into more actual choices for sportswear manufacturers and sportswear consumers.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop functional garment wear for patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) and to analyze changes in Cobb's angle and the COM of the body and the pelvis during gaits in order to identify the effects of the functional garment wear. The subjects of the study were 9 patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, who wore the functional garment wear for 12 weeks 12 hours a day. As for the research methods, the scoliotic angle was measured using Cobb's angle, and the shoulder angle and the COM of the body and the pelvis during gaits for the AIS patients were calculated using five high speed infrared cameras. As a result of the study, it was found that the scoliotic angle (Cobb's angle) was reduced significantly and that the smaller the original scoliotic angle, the greater the effects. As for the shoulder motion angle, a significantly larger angle was found 12 weeks after wearing the functional garment wear, and particularly, larger shoulder motion (activity) was observed at the phase of right heel contact. As for the motion of the body and the pelvis, the moving ranges were significantly reduced after wearing the functional garment wear for 12 weeks, which stabilized gait in the patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.

Therefore, among the Korean people, those who had purchased golf wear were selected as samples, and 496 copies of data were introduced into the final analysis. For data processing, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and internal consistency were conducted. In addition, correlation analysis and simple and multiple regression analysis were conducted to verify research problems, and all data processing used the SPSS (ver. 21.0) program. As a result of verifying research problems, first, it was found that the consumption value of golf wear brands had a significant effect on attitudes in the order of pleasure, aesthetics, and symbolism. Second, it was found that the attitude of golf wear brands had a significant effect on purchase behavior. Third, it was found that the consumption value of golf wear brands had a significant effect on purchase behavior in the order of pleasure, aesthetics, and symbolism.

Frequency and $x^2$-test were conducted using a SAS statistics package to analyse the data. The results were as follows. ; (1) Solid pattern was the most prevailed throughout the last four decades and followed by stripe, check, the others, abstract, dot and floral. There is no significant difference in the type of men's pants pattern between each decade. (2) It showed a significant difference in colors of men's pants between decades. • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of various knitted fabrics of sports socks on their properties of hygiene and stability. Seventeen men\`s sports socks to represent five groups with different fiber content, knit structure, yarn fineness, and finishing were used. Properties of hygiene and stability of socks were determined. The results were as follows ; 1. Evaluation of Water, vapor and heat transport properties in socks with varing fiber content showed that cotton 100% socks had the highest drop absorbency, wickability, water absorbency and water retention. Polypropylene 100% socks had an excellent wickability and moisture permeability. Acrylic blend socks had the highest thermal resistance. 2. The greatest knit stretch and knit growth of socks having lower power were found to be with cotton 100% socks had the lowest stretch. Acrylic blend socks had a excellent stretch but low fabric growth, which could give a good fir sensation during wear. 3. The commerical antimicrobial finished socks showed excellent durability after repeated cycles of laundering. 4. Length and width shrinkages were found in all laundered samples during initial cycles due to rearrangement by mechanical relaxation. Shrinkages showed no further changes and reached equilibriums after 5 cycles. Cotton 100% or cotton blend socks showed lower dimensional stability than other socks during fabric care.
