광전류 스펙트럼으로부터 Hamilton matrix(Hopfield quasicubic mode)법으로 계산한 결과 crystal field splitting $\Delta$cr값이 0.2704 eV이며 spin-orbit $\Delta$so 값은 0,1465 eV임을 확인하였다. 10K일 때 광전류 봉우리들은 n=1일때 Al-, Bl-와 Cl-exciton 봉우리임을 알았다.

  • In this paper, we briefly introduce the test bench and test method of RWA micro-vibration. TAMAM RWA (Reaction Wheel Assembly) micro-vibration was measured on a KISTLER dynamic plate which can measure time signals of three orthogonal forces and torques simultaneously up to 400Hz, and test data was analyzed. Measured data were evaluated with respect to the wheel spin rate and the static/dynamic unbalances were estimated from the extracted first harmonic component. The estimated static and dynamic unbalances were 0.79gㆍcm and 17.4gㆍ$\textrm{cm}^2$ respectively. The resonance mode and two rocking modes were observed as a results of its frequency analysis. Several higher order harmonic components were observed, which comes from its rotor shape as well as the wheel bearing.

  • The generation of the intermodulation noises in microwave isolators has been studied in relation to the characteristics of YIG ferrites designed for this application. We have investigated the influences of porosity and crystalline anisotropy related to the magnetic loss, which causes the generation of intermodulation signals. The power dependence of the intermodulation power level is stressed as the crystalline anisotropy decreases. These results are consistent with the nonlinear effects of a single normal mode before the excitation of the spin-waves. It also appears that this power level is proportional to the magnitude of dc bias magnetic field.

  • A polymeric waveguide-type wavelength filter based on a Bragg grating has been proposed and fabricated using the simple nanoimpring technique, for the first time to our knowledge. An ultraviolet transparent stamp with the single-mode waveguide pattern incorporating a surface-relief-type Bragg grating was specially designed selective dry-etching process. Using this stamp, the device fabrication was substantially involving just a single-step process of imprint followed by polymer spin-coating. The achieved maximum reflection was higher than 25 dB at the center wavelength of 1569 nm. And the 3-dB bandwidth was 0.8 nm for the device length of 1.5 cm.

  • Polycrystalline films of Ni- and Co-ferrites films are prepared from aqueous solution at $90^{\circ}C$ by ferrite plating, which are subjected to Fe$^57$ conversion electron Mossbauer spectroscopy in backscatter mode. The average angle of Fe spins relative to the film plane is evaluated as 18 degree and 82 degree for the Ni- and Co-ferrite films, respectively, indicating a prominent magnetic anisotropy parallel and perpendicular to the film plane. It was also verified by the magnetization measurements.

  • Magnetization behavior of sputter-deposited Co/Pd multilayers were characterized, and it has been found that even when the multilayers are sputtered at low pressure (10 mTorr), the coercivity of the multilayers can be increased to large extent without noticeable change of saturation magnetization by increasing the deposition pressure of Pd underlayer. It turned out that the surface topology of Pd underlayer gets rough as deposition pressure increases, which consequently affects the magnetization reversal mode of Co/Pd multilayers from domain wall motion to magnetic spin rotation. The enhancement of coercivity is attributed to the domain wall pinning effect which is comected with the surface roughness of Pd underlayer on which Co/Pd multilayers grow.

  • The number of discovery of asteroids with peculiar rotational states has recently increased, and hence a novel approach for lightcurve analysis is considered to be critical. In order to investigate objects such as Non-Principal Axis (NPA) rotator, we selected a NPA candidate, (5247) Kryolv as our target considering its Principal Axis Rotation (PAR) code and the visibility in early 2016. The observations of Krylov were made using Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet) 1.6 m telescopes installed at the three southern sites with TO (Target of Opportunity) observation mode. We conducted R-band time-series photometry over a total of 51 nights from January to April 2016 with several exposures during each allocated run. The ensemble normalization photometry was employed using the AAVSO Photomtric All-Sky Survey (APASS) catalog for the standardization. We successfully confirmed its NPA spin state based on the deviation from the reduced lightcurve, and thus Krylov is recorded as the first NPA rotator of its kind in the main-belt, with its precession and rotation periods, $P{\varphi}=81.18h$ and $P_{\Psi}=67.17h$, respectively. In this paper, we present the spin direction, the 3D shape model and taxonomy of the newly confirmed NPA asteroid (5247) Krylov.

  • Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet) is the first optical survey system of its kind in a way that three KMTNet observatories are longitudinally well-separated, and thus have the benefit of 24-hour continuous monitoring of the southern sky. The wide-field and round-the-clock operation capabilities of this network facility are ideal for survey and the physical characterization of small Solar System bodies. We obtain their orbits, absolute magnitudes (H), three dimensional shape models, spin periods and spin states, activity levels based on the time-series broadband photometry. Their approximate surface mineralogy is also identified using colors and band slopes. The automated observation scheduler, the data pipeline, the dedicated computing facility, related research activity and the team members are collectively called 'DEEP-South' (DEep Ecliptic Patrol of Southern sky). DEEP-South observation is being made during the off-season for exoplanet search, yet part of the telescope time is shared in the period between when the Galactic bulge rises early in the morning and sets early in the evening. We present here the observation mode, strategy, software, test runs, early results, and the future plan of DEEP-South.

  • A stoichiometric mixture of evaporating materials for $CuInSe_2$ single crystal thin films was prepared from horizontal electric furnace. To obtain the single crystal thin films, $_CuInSe2$ mixed crystal was deposited on thoroughly etched semi-insulating GaAs(100) substrate by the hot wall epitaxy (HWE) system. The source and substrate temperatures were $620^{\circ}C$ and $410^{\circ}C$, respectively. The crystalline structure of the single crystal thin films was investigated by the photoluminescence and double crystal X-ray diffraction (DCXD). The carrier density and mobility of $CuInSe_2$ single crystal thin films measured with Hall effect by van der Pauw method are $9.62\times10^{16}/\textrm{cm}^3$, 296 $\textrm{cm}^2$/Vㆍs at 293 K, respectively. The temperature dependence of the energy band gap of the $CuInSe_2$ obtained from the absorption spectra was well described by the Varshni's relation, $E_g$(T) = 1.1851 eV -($8.99\times10^{-4} eV/K)T^2$(T + 153 K). The crystal field and the spin-orbit splitting energies for the valence band of the CuInSe$_2$ have been estimated to be 0.0087 eV and 0.2329 eV at 10 K, respectively, by means of the photocurrent spectra and the Hopfield quasicubic model. These results indicate that the splitting of the Δso definitely exists in the $\Gamma$6 states of the valence band of the $CuInSe_2$. The three photocurrent peaks observed at 10 K are ascribed to the $A_1-, B_1$-와 $C_1$-exciton peaks for n = 1.

  • A stoichiometric mixture for $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal was prepared from horizontal electric furnace. The $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal was grown in the three-stage vertical electric furnace by using Bridgman method. The $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal was evaluated to be tetragonal by the power method. The (001) growth plane of oriented $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal was confirmed from back-reflection Laue patterns. The carrier density and mobility of $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal measured with Hall effect by van der Pauw method are $8.61\times 1016 \textrm {cm}^{-3}$ and 242 $\textrm{cm}^2$/V.s at 293 K, respectively. The temperature dependence of the energy band gap of the $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal obtained from the absorption spectra was well described by the Varshni's relation, $1.4750ev - (7.69\times10^{-3})\; ev/k)\;T^2$/(T + 2147k).The crystal field and the spin-orbit splitting energies for the valence band of the $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal have been estimated to be 0.2704 eV and 0.1465 eV, respectively, by means of the photocurrent spectra and the Hopfield quasicubic model. These results indicate that the splitting of the $\Delta$so definitely exists in the $\Gamma_7$ states of the valence band of the $CdIn_2Te_4$ single crystal. The three photocurrent peaks observed at 10 K are ascribed to the $A_{1-} B_{1-}$ and Cl-exciton peaks for n = 1.
