소형 무인헬기를 이용한 항공방제기술 (II) - 동력부의 개발 - (Aerial Application using a Small RF Controlled Helicopter (II) - Development of Power Unit -)

  • Opening agricultural market progresses radically, reducing cost of high quality agricultural products becomes urgent. Aerial application using an agricultural helicopter helps precise and timely spraying and reduces labor intensity and pollution. The development of an agricultural helicopter was necessary for taking advantages of both technique and economy. In this study, as the first stage of developing an unmanned helicopter capable of 20kg payload, an engine was selected and a prototype transmission was designed for an agricultural helicopter. Prony type dynamo-meter was constructed, the engine was tested and then performance curve was obtained. The centrifugal clutch was engaged at the rotation speed of 3,500-4,000 rpm. Maximum power was expected at the engine speed of 5,900-6,200 rpm when adjusted at the optimal output. Based on the test results, the transmission was designed for driving main rotor shaft.

유기 랭킨 사이클용 스크롤 팽창기 성능 시험에 관한 연구 (Effects of Channel Amplitude Ratio on Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Primary Surface Heat Exchanger for ORC)

  • An algebraic scroll expander has been fabricated and tested in a R134a Rankine cycle with heat source of 20 kW. For the operating conditions of 20~26 bar and $90{\sim}93^{\circ}C$ at the expander inlet and 8~9 bar at the outlet, the expander produced the shaft output power of about 0.6~0.7 kW in the operating speed range of 1500~2000 rpm. These correspond to the expander efficiency of 40~45%. The volumetric efficiency increased with increasing of the expander speed, reaching to 80% at 2000 rpm. Comparing to numerical simulation results, mechanical efficiency from the test data was found to be considerably low by as much as 30%, indicating that reduction in the frictional loss should be made to improve the scroll expander efficiency.

트롤어선용 노즐 프로펠러 추진기 설계에 관한 연구 (A study on the design of nozzle propeller for trawler)

  • Trawlers have to a sufficient towing force due to it's characteristics of the high performance. The newly constructed trawler with the conventional propellers shows the sufficient towing force, so that the propeller and engine are optimized. In the 1970s, many trawlers were imported from overseas by Korean fisheries industries. But the engine output degradation with year by year caused the trawlers to decrease the towing speed of the vessels. On the previous studies, the nozzle propeller had not so good efficiency with increasing of resistance in high-speed cruising operation over 15knots. But the trawling operation is just required the higher thrust and towing force, so that the nozzle propeller is very profitable for the it's effectiveness. A new nozzle propeller was designed for the 4,462G/T trawler, Dong-San, operated by Dongwon Industries Co., Ltd. to improve the towing speed, and the model tests were performed. The model ship and model propeller are preciously manufactured and used model tests in basin. The resistance test and propeller open water test were performed for the cases of the half and full loads. The required engine horse power and RPM were evaluated analytically by the speed-power curve, when the trawler was equipped with the nozzle propeller. The results of tests showed that the towing speed 4.85knots on the design load waterline requires the 200 engine RPM and 2,567ps in the delivered horsepower.

대형저속 디젤엔진 구동 발전기의 출력변동 개선에 관한 연구 (Study on the Improvement of Output Fluctuation from Generator Driven by Large Size-Low Speed Diesel Engine)

  • Since world-wide oil shock on 1970s, many large size-low speed diesel engines, instead of steam turbines, are used for the industrial electric power generating plants due to their economic advantage of low specific fuel consumption. But it is very important to control their electric power fluctuation problems for the purpose of smooth parallel operation with existing power plants. In this paper the fluctuation problem of KEPCO Nam-cheju No.1 generator driven by diesel ngine(B & W 7K 60MC, 13931x138.5RPM) is investigated with analysis of torsional vibration of which 4th harmonic component is related to its power fluctuation. The problem can be improved by modification of cylinder arrangement and flywheel position in reverse sequence, equalizing the combustion gas pressure of all cylinder and installation of torsional vibration damper enlarged 30%(Je=7287Kg.m$^{2}$) and high quality balancing of generator rotor.

  • A variable speed wind turbine simulator is designed and implemented for the simulation of wind power generation system. The control algorithm decides the shaft torque delivered to generator taking into consideration the wind speed, the generator rpm, and the rotor blade inertia. It is shown that the proposed control algorithm can emulate the dynamic behavior of actual wind turbine through simulations and experimental.

앤드리츠형 건조기의 내부 유동에 관한 해석 (Analysis of a inner flow of ANDRICH type dryer)

  • In order to prevent the environmental pollution, the dryers are commonly used to treat sludge that one of sewages is polluting the quality of water. Generally, the drying method is various as to the property of material and use. Rotary dryer is a good apparatus to treat them. The rotary dryer is the way that is to make substance transmission and heating using hot air between sludge particles and heated gas. In this paper, we performed a numerical analysis of the inner air flow of the ANDRICH type dryer through the changing rotational speed from 3rpm to 10rpm. A PIV can be applied to research a inner flow of ANDRICH type dryer.

소형 어선에서 육상용기관의 효율적인 이용방법에 대한 연구 (A Study on Efficient Methods of Using Land Engine in the Small Fishing Vessel)

  • A study on the performance and exhaust emissions of diesel engine with reducing exhaust gas temperature is performed experimentally. In this paper, experiments are performed at engine speed 2200rpm, 2600rpm and load 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% by test engine with F.W. cooler passing through exhaust gas. Main measured & analyzed parameters are exhaust gas temperature, specific fuel consumption, NOx and soot emissions etc. The obtained conclusions are as follows. (1) Specific fuel consumption is the least value at load 75% and it is decreased 1.5% after remodeling F.W. cooler. (2) NOx emission is the most value at load 100% and it is increased 30.1% after remodeling F.W. cooler. (3) Soot emission is the most value at load 100% and it is decreased 20.0% after remodeling F.W. cooler.

농업용 트랙터 기반 소형 타워야더의 견인 성능 개선에 관한 연구 (Traction Performance Improvement Study on a Small-scale Tower Yarder Attached to a Farm Tractor)

  • 국내 임목수확작업에 사용되고 있는 트랙터 기반 소형 타워야더는 소경재 생산을 목적으로 개발되었으며, 중대경재 수확 체제로 변화함에 따라 견인 성능의 개선이 필요하다. 이 연구는 동력 전달방식을 기존의 기계식에서 기계 유압식으로 개선하여 타워야더의 최대 견인력을 비교·분석하였으며, 트랙터 엔진속도, 유압식 동력 전달 기구의 압력을 변수로 두고 견인 성능 실험을 실시하였다. 실험 수준은 트랙터 엔진속도(1,200, 1,400, 1,600, 1,800, 2,000, 2,200 rpm) 6수준, 동력 전달 기구의 압력(4.9, 6.9, 8.8 MPa) 3수준으로 선정하였다. 기존의 경우 최대 견인력은 엔진 회전속도 757 rpm에서 15,146.6 N의 최대견인력을 발휘하였으나 개선된 타워야더는 엔진 회전속도 1,575 rpm에서 36,140 N의 최대 견인력이 나타나, 최대 견인력이 2.4배 증가되었다. 이에 따라 중대경재 위주의 목재수확 현장에서 작업이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 또한 기존 장비를 재활용하여 성능 개선함으로써 견인력이 큰 집재장비의 신규 도입 및 운영에 필요한 비용을 줄일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Compensation of Periodic Magnetic Saturation Effects for the High-Speed Sensorless Control of PMSM Driven by Inverter Output Power Control-based PFC Strategy

  • An inverter output power control based power factor correction (PFC) strategy is being extensively used for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives in appliances because such a strategy can considerably reduce the cost and size of the inverter. In this strategy, PFC circuits are removed and large electrolytic DC-link capacitors are replaced with small film capacitors. In this application, the PMSM d-q axes currents are controlled to produce ripples, the frequency of which is twice that of the AC main voltage, to obtain a high power factor at the AC mains. This process indicates that the PMSM operates under periodic magnetic saturation conditions. This paper proposes a back electromotive-force (back-EMF) estimator for the high-speed sensorless control of PMSM operating under periodic magnetic saturation conditions. The transfer function of the back-EMF estimator is analyzed to examine the effect of the periodic magnetic saturation on the accuracy of the estimated rotor position. A simple compensation method for the estimated position errors caused by the periodic magnetic saturation is also proposed in this paper. The effectiveness of the proposed method is experimentally verified with the use of a PMSM drive for a vacuum cleaner centrifugal fan, wherein the maximum operating speed reaches 30,000 rpm.

연삭기용 자기베어링 주축계의 고속화에 관한 연구 (Design of a Magnetic Bearing System for a High Speed Grinding Spindle)

  • The demand of high speed machining is increasing due to the high speed cutting and grinding provides high efficiency of process, short process time, improved metal removal capacity and better surface finish. Active magnetic bearings allow much high surface speed than conventional ball bearings and therefore greatly suitable for high speed cutting or grinding. This paper describes a design process of an active magnetic bearing system for a high speed grinding spindle with power 5.5kW and maximum speed 60,000rpm. Magnetic actuators are designed by the magnetic circuit theory considering static load condition, and examined with FEM analysis. Dynamic characteristics are also considered, such as bandwidth, stiffness, natural frequency and static deflection. System characteristics are simulated with a rigid rotor model.
