제올라이트를 함유하는 소성점토의 제조 (Fabrication of Calcined Clay Granule Comprising Zeolite)

  • 제올라이트는 높은 양이온교환능력(CEC)으로 인해 토양개량제의 사용이 고려되어 왔으나, 이에 관한 연구들의 대부분이 제올라이트를 합성하거나 천연제올라이트의 CEC를 증가시키는데 국한되어왔다. 실제로 제올라이트를 토양개량제로 사용하기 위해서는 유실되는 것을 방지하기 위한 과립화 (granulation or pelletizing)가 요구된다. 본 연구는 제올라이트를 토양개량제로 활용하기 위해 이를 포함하는 소성점토의 과립 (calcined clay granule)을 제조하고, 제올라이트의 특성을 최대로 활용할 수 있는 과립의 제조조건을 찾으려 하였다. 천연제올라이트, 고령토, 규석을 재료로 하여, pan granulator와 high shear mixer granulator의 두가지 과립기를 사용하여 과립을 제조하였다. 재료의 혼합비와 과립기의 회전속도 등을 조절하여 과립을 제조하였으며, 이를 $400\sim700^{\circ}C$범위에서 $100^{\circ}C$단위로 소성한 후 파쇄강도 (crushing strength), 기공분포 (pore distribution), CEC를 측정하였다. 토양개량제로 사용할 과립은 취급시에 요구되는 기본적인 강도뿐만 아니라 토양과 혼합된 후 답압(踏壓)에 견디기 위한 강도 또한 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 과립의 답압에 관한 저항성 평가방법을 마련하고, 마른 상태와 젖은 상태에서 과립의 저항성을 측정하였다. 과립기의 회전속도와 가열온도에 비례하여 답압에 대한 저항성은 증가하나 CEC는 감소하였다. Pan granulator는 $700^{\circ}C$이하의 가열에서 적절한 강도를 갖는 과립을 제조할 수 없었으나, high shear mixer granulator는 $500^{\circ}C$이상의 가열에 의해 답압에 저항성을 갖는 과립을 제조할 수 있었다.

생약 추출물 함유 정제 제조를 위한 이산화규소 함유 분말의 제조 및 평가 (Fabrication and Characterization of Bangpungtongseong-San Extract-loaded Particles for Tablet Dosage Form)

  • The purpose of this study is to optimize the powder formulation and manufacturing conditions for the solidification of an extract of the herb Bangpungtongseong-san (BPTS). To develop BPTS-loaded particles for the tablet dosage form, various BPTS-loaded particles composed of BPTS, dextrin, microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), silicon dioxide, ethanol, and water are prepared using spray-drying and high shear granulation (high-speed mixing). Their physical properties are evaluated using scanning electron microscopy and measurements of the angle of repose, Hausner ratio, Carr's index, hardness, and disintegration time. The optimal BPTS-loaded particles exhibit improved flowability and compressibility. In particular, the BPTS-loaded particles containing silicon dioxide show significantly improved flowability and compressibility (the angle of repose, Hausner ratio, and Carr's index are 35.27 ± 0.58°, 1.18 ± 0.06, and 15.67 ± 1.68%, respectively), hardness (18.97 ± 1.00 KP), and disintegration time (17.60 ± 1.50 min) compared to those without silicon dioxide. Therefore, this study suggests that particles prepared by high-speed mixing can be used to greatly improve the flowability and compressibility of BPTS using MCC and silicon dioxide.

전신복장법을 이용한 농약 조제 및 살포 과정 중 살충제 Imidacloprid에 대한 사과 과수원 농작업자의 노출 평가 (Exposure Assessment of Apple Orchard Workers to the Insecticide Imidacloprid Using Whole Body Dosimetry During Mixing/Loading and Application)

  • 전신복장법(whole body dosimetry, WBD)을 이용한 사과 과수원 농약 살포자의 살포농약 조제 및 살포 과정 중 imidacloprid 수화제 사용에 의한 노출 특성 및 위해성을 평가하기 위하여 농약 살포 전 방제복, 장갑, 마스크, 호흡 노출량 측정 장치를 착용한 후 speed sprayer를 이용하여 acephate+imidacloprid 25(20+5)% 1,000배 희석액을 3,000 L/ha/살포자의 비율로 청주 인근의 10개 사과 과수원에 살포하였다. 노출시험은 조제자와 살포자에 대하여 각각 나누어 수행하였다. 시험농약은 HPLC-DAD를 이용하여 분석하였으며, 부위별 평균 회수율은 81.5-108.6%, 평균 포장회수율은 73.8-86.7%로서 모두 적합하였다. 조제자 및 살포자의 노출량은 imidacloprid 총량 대비 0.0014-0.0279%이었으며, 조제자와 살포자 모두 장갑의 노출량이 가장 높았다. 또한 농약 살포자의 농약 사용에 대한 위해성을 측정하기 위한 안전한계(margin of safety, MOS)는 조제자와 살포자 각각 97-355, 46-196으로서 speed sprayer를 이용한 imidacloprid 살포 시 사과 과수원 농약 살포자에 대한 위해도는 매우 낮았다.

WOT조건에서 23cc 가솔린 엔진과 LPG 엔진의 성능 및 배기특성 비교 (Comparison of Performance and Emissions Characteristics on 23cc Gasoline engine and LPG engine at WOT Condition)

  • This paper presents the performance and emissions characteristics of a small spark-ignited 2-stroke gasoline and LPG engine. The engine used in this paper is a single cylinder, two-stroke, air-cooled SI engine for brush cutter. We measured the rpm, torque, fuel consumption and HC, CO, NOx emissions in associated with the dynamometer load at WOT. The results showed that as engine revolution speed decreased, the excess air ratio of gasoline engine kept going about 0.9 and that of LPG engine increased 0.83 to 1.05. Torque and power of gasoline engine was higher than LPG engine. In exhaust emissions, HC emissions of gasoline engine was lower than LPG engine. In low speed area, CO emissions of LPG engine was lower than gasoline engine. Both gasoline engine and LPG engine emitted little NOx emissions.

Rubber bound phenolic antioxidant and its application in thermoplastic elastomer

  • Natural rubber bound phenolic antioxidant, 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-vinylphenol (2,6-DBVP), was prepared from natural rubber and 2,6-DBVP in both solution and melt state. The 2,6-DBVP had been synthesized from 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde and methyltriphenylphosphonium iodide ($MePPh_3I$) by Wittig reaction ($0^{\circ}C$ for 2 hrs, $N_2$ atmosphere). The conditions for preparation of natural rubber bound 2,6-DBVP (NR-DBVP) were optimized for both solution state (1 phr BPO and 8 phr 2,6-DBVP at $70^{\circ}C$ for 2 hrs) and for melt state (1 phr BPO and 8 phr 2,6-DBVP at $70^{\circ}C$ for 10 mins, with rotor speed of 60 rpm). A thermoplastic vulcanizate was obtained using a compatibilizer, polypropylene modified with phenolic resin (PhHRJ-PP), in a closed mixer ($180^{\circ}C$ for 3 mins, rotor speed 60 rpm). The antioxidant properties of vulcanized NR-DBVP, using phenolic as the vulcanization system, were similar to NR with the conventional antioxidant BHT. In addition, the antioxidant, water leaching property of the thermoplastic vulcanizate of NR-DBVP/PP were good in comparison to a NR blend with BHT; the morphologies of these thermoplastic vulcanizates were similar.

HCNG 엔진용 연료시스템의 적용성 평가 (Applicability of Fuel Supply System for HCNG Engine)

  • CNG buses has contributed to improve air quality in cities. But it is difficult to meet the next emission regulations such as EURO-VI without the help of additional post-processing device. Hydorgen has higher flame speed and lower combustion temperature that make it thermal efficiency increase with leaner operation. Using hydrogen natural gas blend (HCNG) fuel is promising technology which can reduce $NO_x$ and $CO_2$ emissions for a natural gas vehicle. However, fuel flow rate of HCNG should be increased since hydrogen's energy density per volume is much smaller than natural gas. In the present study, the characteristics of fuel supply system and its applicability were evaluated in a heavy duty natural gas engine. The results showed that the potential of fuel pressure regulator and fuel metering valve had enough capacity with HCNG. Employed mixer did not affect the distribution characteristics of mixture.

체공성능 향상을 위한 확장날개 틸트로터 무인기의 제어법칙설계 (Control Law Design for a Tilt-rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle with a Nacelle Mounted WE (Wing Extension))

  • The results of control law design for a tilt-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle that has a nacelle mounted wing extension (WE) are presented in this paper. It consists of a control surface mixer, stability and control augmentation system (SCAS), hold mode for altitude / speed / heading, and a guidance mode for preprogram and point navigation which includes automatic take-off and landing. The conversion corridor and the control moments derivatives between the original tilt-rotor and its variant of the nacelle mounted WE were compared to show the effectiveness of the WE. The nacelle conversion of the original tilt-rotor starts when the airspeed is greater than 30 km/h but its WE variant starts at 0 km/h in order to reduce the drag caused by the high incidence angle of the WE. The stability margins of the inner loop are presented with the optimization approach. The outer loops for the hold mode are designed with trial and error methods with linear and nonlinear simulation. The main control parameter for altitude control of the helicopter mode is thrust command and it is transferred to the pitch attitude command in airplane mode. Otherwise, the control parameter for the speed of the helicopter mode is the pitch attitude command and it is transferred to the thrust command in airplane mode. Therefore the speed and altitude hold mode are coupled to each other and are engaged at the same time when an internal pilot engages any of the altitude or speed hold modes. The nonlinear simulation results of the guidance control for the preprogrammed mode and point navigation are also presented including automatic take-off and landing in order to prove the full control law.

국내산 흑연의 구형화에 미치는 로터 속도의 영향 (The Effect of Rotor Speed on the Circiuarity of Domestic Graphite)

  • 국내산 인상흑연정광의 리튬이온전지 소재로서 활용을 위해 고강도 혼합기를 이용하여 구형화 실험 후 건식분급을 진행하여 각 산물에 대한 구형화도와 입도를 분석하였다. 3,000 rpm의 로터속도에서는 정광시료와 산물의 입도와 구형화도의 차이가 관찰되지 않았으나, 로터속도를 6,000 rpm, 10,000 rpm 12,000 rpm으로 조절하여 구형화도 실험을 진행한 결과, 로터속도와 구동시간의 증가에 따라 구형화도는 증가하고 입도는 감소하였다. 로터속도 12,000 rpm에서 10분간 구동한 결과, 구형화도는 0.870으로부터 0.936까지 증가하였다. 구형화실험 후 건식분급을 진행하였을 때 조립자의 구형화도는 0.947까지 증가하였고 SEM 결과에서 구형입자가 확인되어 구형화가 성공적으로 이루어졌다고 판단되었다.

친환경 무기질 도료의 제조 및 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Properties and Fabrications of Eco-Ceramics Paint)

  • Sick house syndrome comes from VOCs that is harmful to health. To reduce VOCs, the cause of sick house syndrome, several materials have been developed and use. One of this materials, VOCs absorption paint was developed. VOCs absorption paint contains ceramic binder and zeolite powder. In the present study, eco-ceramics paint has been successfully fabricated by high-speed mixer using ceramic binder and filler powders. The eco-ceramics paint thus obtained have a deodorization rate with about 95.7$ \%$ and the bacteria decreasing rate is about 99.6$\%$. Moreover, the eco-ceramics paint showed excellent VOCs interception properties due to effect of ceramics layer and zeolite which exist in surface of paint.

  • A new bioelectric impedance measurement method is proposed for the precise measurement of the bioelectric impedance. To obtain the impedance from the known applied a.c. current and the measured voltage signals, a frequency conversion circuit, like the mixer in heterodyne receivers, is introduced to reduce the frequency of the original current. It can be observed from several lines of derivation that the impedance is independent on the amplitude and phase of the mixing signals. This makes it possible to use low-speed analog-to-digital converters and thus utilize cheaper electronic parts in the implementation. The possibility of the method is shown by simulations, and a generic structure applicable to bioelectric impedance measurement devices is also proposed.
