Purpose: This study examined whether mirror therapy could improve the balance, gait, and motor function of patients with subacute stroke. Methods: Thirty-three patients with subacute stroke were divided randomly into three groups: experimental group1, experimental group2, and the control group. The patients in experimental group1 performed a mirror therapy program on the unaffected side of the lower extremities, and the patients in experimental group2 performed mirror therapy on the affected side of the lower extremities. Both groups performed the exercise for 30 minutes per session, five times a week for four weeks. The control group did not receive mirror therapy. BBS, POMA, 10MWT, and the BRS were used to evaluate the balance, the quality of gait, gait speed, and the motor function before and after the intervention. Results: The gait speed increased significantly in the experimental groups1 and 2 after the intervention. The control group showed no significant difference in the gait speed after the intervention. The change in gait speed before and after the intervention showed a significant difference among the groups. Experimental group1 showed a significant increase in the gait speed compared to that of the control group. Conclusion: This study suggests that mirror therapy could be an effective intervention to improve the gait speed of patients with subacute stroke. On the other hand, there was no difference in the effectiveness of mirror therapy and therapeutic exercise on the balance, gait, and motor function.

This paper describes the implementation of high speed comparator for the ATE (automatic test equipment) system. The comparator block is composed of continuous comparator, differential difference amplifier(DDA) and output stage. For the wide input dynamic range of 0V to 5V, and for the high speed operation (1~800MHz), high speed rail-to-rail amplifier is used in the first stage. And hysteresis circuits, pre-amp and latch are followed for high speed operation. To measure the difference of output signals between the two devices under test (DUTs), a DDA is applied because it can detect the differences of both common signals and differential signals. This comparator chip was implemented with $0.18{\mu}m$ BCDMOS process and can compare the signal difference of 5mV up to the frequency range of 800 MHz. The chip area of the comparator is $620{\mu}m{\times}830{\mu}m$.

The Ultrasonic motor(USM) has many good characteristics such as high torque at low speed range, large holding torque based upon frictional force, high speed response, flexible free ferns, compactness in size, low magnetic noise and silentness in motion. Because of having low speed rotation, USM is good as an actuator of a small size direct drive (DD) manipulator. The acturators for the DD manipulators must have good controllability on the speed and torque from zero to maximum value continuously. New method was developed for speed and torque control by the phase difference control of the two-phase driving signals of the motor. Then rule adjustable compliant and dumped motion was realized on the output shaft of the motor by PD control of the output shaft angle.
Traffic safety and vibration serviceability of a railway bridge set a limitation to the application of long-span cable supported bridges even though the design trend of the bridge becomes longer and lighter. In the case of high speed railway, it becomes more severe for the high speed of the train and resonance of the structure. Therefore, the cable supported bridge does not exist in Korea high speed railway until now. On the other hand, in recent, Italia, Japan and China do design and construct the long-span cable supported bridges for high speed railway recently with overcoming of traffic safety and passenger comforts. In the present study, prior to analysis of traffic safety and passenger comforts, a extradosed bridge for common railway is re-designed for high speed railway. The difference of member forces and displacements by design live load, the difference of impact coefficient and variable stresses of cables are investigated.
In this paper, a totem pole PFC was structured in two methods with FET and diode for low-speed switch while GaN FET was used for high-speed switch. Internal power loss, power conversion efficiency and steady-state characteristics of the two methods were compared in the totem pole bridgeless PFC circuit which is widely applied in large-capacity and high-efficiency switching rectifier of 500W or more. In order to compare and confirm the steady-state characteristics under equal conditions, a 2kW class totem pole bridgeless PFC was constructed and the experimental results were analyzed. From the experimental results, it was confirmed that the low-speed switch operation has a large difference in efficiency due to the internal conduction loss of the low-speed switch at a low input voltage. Especially, input power factor and load characteristic showed no difference regardless of the low-speed switch operation.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to improve TPI OnBaseU Power Test and golf performance by conducting CrossFit power training. Method: Three male golf players from University B participated in this study. They had 3 to 4 years of golf experience and participated in 8 weeks of CrossFit power training. Results: OnBaseU Power Test: There was a lot of improvement in Sit up throw (27.9%) and Chest pass (10.58%), but there was not much improvement in Baseline Toss (R5.9, L9.8%) and Vertical Jump (4.1%). Golf shot data: There was a very statistically significant difference in Club speed, Ball speed, and Total Length, which are related to speed, and there was no difference in Club path and Smash factor, which are related to accuracy and posture. Conclusion: CrossFit power training was effective in improving TPI OnBaseU Power Test and golf performance (Club speed, Ball speed, Total Length).

Ten women in their 20s and 10 women in their 50s were selected to investigate the effect of an elastic band exercise program for 8 weeks according to age on women's knee speed expression rate and balance. Knee isokinetic muscle strength measurement, single-legged standing with eyes closed, and YBT were performed 1 week before and after the exercise program. The measured data were analyzed through a mixed design two-way ANOVA, and if there was a significant difference, post hoc verification was performed using the bonferoni method. In our study, as a result of an 8-week elastic band exercise program, there was no difference in the speed development rate according to the measurement period, and the speed development rate according to age was found to be higher in people in their 50s than in their 20s. In our study, there was no difference in balance ability depending on the measurement period, and there was also no difference in balance ability depending on age. Discussing the results of our study, we found that 8 weeks of elastic band exercise cannot bring about significant changes in speed development ability and balance ability, which become more accurate with age.
Profiles development of melt spinning process of poly(lactic acid) (PLA) was simulated via a numerical method and the radial temperature distribution was calculated using finite difference method. The spinning speed ranged from 1 km/min to 5 km/min was analyzed and the effect of spinning conditions on the radial temperature distribution was investigated. At low spinning speed, the difference between PLA and poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) was relatively small. As the spinning speed increased, the difference in velocity profile became prominent. PLA showed a slower spinning speed than PET and solidified more slowly. The temperature difference between the core and surface of the PLA filament reached 4.6 K, which was less than that of PET filament with a difference of 10.4 K. The radial temperature difference increased with increasing the cooling-air velocity and the spinning temperature.

DS/CDMA systems for the high speed communication require high code rats. In discrete time CDMA receivers, the performance degradation, caused by the phase difference between transmission code and reference code, increase the sampling frquency of the receiver. This increment of the sampling frequency makes hard to implement high speed CDMA systems. This paper analyzes the SIR(signal to interference Ratio) performance of the discrete time DS/CDMA system, based on the code phase difference. The results of this paper may be useful to study a low-sampling CDMA receiver.
