Real-Time Travelling Control of Mobile Robot by Conversation Function Based on Voice Command (대화기능에 의한 모바일로봇의 실시간 주행제어)

  • We describe a research about remote control of mobile robot based on voice command in this paper. Through real-time remote control and wireless network capabilities of an unmanned remote-control experiments and Home Security / exercise with an unmanned robot, remote control and voice recognition and voice transmission are possible to transmit on a PC using a microphone to control a robot to pinpoint of the source. Speech recognition can be controlled robot by using a remote control. In this research, speech recognition speed and direction of self-driving robot were controlled by a wireless remote control in order to verify the performance of mobile robot with two drives.

  • The efficient representation and encoding of signals with limited resources, e.g., finite storage capacity and restricted transmission bandwidth, is a fundamental problem in technical information processing systems. Typically under realistic circumstances, the encoding and communication of message has to deal with different sources of noise and disturbances. In this paper, I propose a unifying approach to data compression by robust vector quantization, which explicitly deals with channel noise, and random elimination of prototypes. The resulting algorithm is able to limit the detrimental effect of noise in a very general communication scenario. In this paper, based on the robust vector quantization I have an experiment about speech coding.

Analysis of the Percentage Articulation and Voice Packet Loss over the Internet (인터넷상의 음성 패킷손실과 명료도 분석)

  • In this paper, we measured voice packet loss over the Korean Internet and analyzed percentage articulation by variation of the packet loss. To do this, we reviewed real-time transmission service based on RTP/UDP/IP and test method of the transmission quality. and implemented the real-time speech transmission system using GSM and UDP/IP. Monosyllable list has been chosen for the percentage articulation test, each voice packet has been coded and compressed by GSM and it has sequence number to measured packet loss and to recover out-of-order packets. In transmission results using seven router over the Korean Internet, we have show that loss rates reached 1.6% (unload), 22.5%(load) and loss rates after packet recovery by resequencing and FEC are from 9% to 35%. Finally, we have shown that percentage articulations by variation of the network traffic are Table 4.

  • In this paper, we real-time implemented to the TMS320C5416 the vocoder of variable bit rate applied the SOLA-B algorithm by Henja to the ITU-T G.729A vocoder of 8kbps transmission rate. This proposed method using the SOLA-B algorithm is that it is reduced the duration of the speech in encoding and is played at the speed of normal by extending the duration of the speech in decoding. At this time, we bandied that the interval of cross correlation function if skipped every 3 sample for decreasing the computational amount of SOLA-B algorithm. The real-time implemented vocoder of C.729A and SOLA-B algorithm is represented the complexity of maximum that is 10.2MIPS in encoder and 2.8MIPS in decoder of 8kbps transmission rate. Also, it is represented the complexity of maximum that is 18.5MIPS in encoder and 13.1MIPS in decoder of 6kbps, it is 18.5MIPS in encoder and 13.1MIPS in decoder of 4kbps. The used memory is about program ROM 9.7kwords, table ROM 4.5kwords, RAM 5.1 kwords. The waveform of output is showed by the result of C simulator and Bit Exact. Also, for evaluation of speech quality of the vocoder of real-time implemented variable bit rate, it is estimated the MOS score of 3.69 in 4kbps.

  • In this paper, we study the robot controller design using the voice and data communication via CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) mobile communication network. We design the robot remote controller using the three methods, telephone call speech recognition, DTMF (Dual Tone Multiple Frequency) realization, SMS(Short Message Service) transmission/reception way via CDMA mobile communication network. We investigate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed remote controller which applied to the mobile robot.

  • The computer simulation and mock-up test are recently applied to the practical design for the room acoustics to predict and evaluate its characteristics. In this paper, the sound field properties predicted and evaluated by the computer simulation were compared to the measured data. Comparison and analysis between simulation data and measured data were performed for the Reverberation Time, Sound Pressure Level at the various measuring positions and frequencies and Definition, Early Decay Time, Speech Transmission Index.

  • Since the bits in any encoded PCM word are of different importance to the bit positions, in order to improve the signal to noise ratio the technique that the encoded signal bits are weighted for the QPSK transmission system, is presented. Also the erasure zone is established at the detector, such that if the output falls into the erasure zone, the regenerated sample is replaced by interpolation. Two weighting methods are shown here. One is the method that the same weighting profile is used to Q and I dimension in QPSK signal constellations. The other is diferent weighting to Q and I dimension. The gains of this new technique in overall signal s/n compared to conventional QPSK transmission system were 5 db and 2db, respectively.

  • Vocal folds injury from vocal abuse is important topics of phonosurgery. Recent advances in diagnostic equipment, phonosurgery and speech analysis equipment have provided a lot of Information about fine movement of the vocal folds. However, predicting the reaction of the vocal folds to phonatory trauma remains difficult. The vocal folds need to withstand great vibratory and shearing stress and anchoring fibers of basement membrane Bone play a role in maintaining structural integrity of histologically different epidermis and superficial layer of lamina propria(cover of vocal folds). The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the changes of anchoring fibers in vocal polyp using transmission electron microscope. Various defects were observed : a irregular thickening of basement membrane, a near absence of normal anchoring fiber, a lot of electron dense material in superficial layer of lamina propria, a destruction of hemidesmosome and many vesicles carrying electron dense material In basal keratinocyte. These observations were suggestive of a hyperactivity of basal keratinocyte of vocal folds epithelium in response to vibratory stress.
