다양한 감정 상태에서의 보행 특징 분석 (Analysis of Gait Characteristics of Walking in Various Emotion Status)

  • 인간은 다양한 감정을 가지고 있으며 매 시점의 감정 상태에 따라 사고와 판단, 행동이 영향을 받는다. 특히 어떤 사람의 보행하는 모습만 보아도 그 사람의 감정 상태를 짐작할 수 있을 정도로 보행 또한 감정에 영향을 받는다. 현재 휴머노이드 로봇의 이족보행에 관한 연구는 지면의 상태와 상관없이 안정하게 걷는 것을 주로 다루지만 인간과의 교감을 위해서는 감정상태에 따라 보행하는 패턴이 달라질 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 보행분석 시스템을 이용해서 네 가지 대표적인 감정(기쁨, 슬픔, 화남, 편안함) 상태에 있는 성인남녀의 보행 데이터를 취득 및 분석하고 상호 특성을 비교하는 연구를 수행했다. 본 논문에서 소개 된 정서적 보행 분석 내용은 휴머노이드 로봇의 정서적 보행에 참고 자료로 사용될 예정이다.

원양어업 전용부두 개설 앞두고;-원양업 거듭나기 구상 - (The Revitalization of Deep-sea Fishery Through the Construction of Fish-Pier)

  • Pusan is the largest fishing port in Korea, and deals with more than I million ton of fish catches annually, including catches of coastal and off-shore fisheries as well as those of deep-sea fishery. However, it hen had no fishing port facilities specialized fer deep-sea fishery since it started 30 years ago. Economic and physical losses resulting from this have teen enormous. Although fishing port facilities are a part of infra-structures built by Governments, the construction of them has been delayed due to financial difficulties of Central or local governments. To overcome this harsh situation to which deep-sea fishery cooperations faced, some cooperations have decided to construct fishing port facilities including fish-pier specialized for deep-sea fishery in Gamcheon port. The construction expenses of these facilities were financed by private funds to which they themselves jointly contributed. As a result, a fish-[pier, which has the capacity of serving one fishing vessel of 10, 000 ton or four of 5, 000 ton or four of 1, 000 ton at the same time, will be opened in here by 1994. The paper examines the master plan to revitalize the deep-sea fisheries industry in a deep depression with the opening of these physical facilities. The framwork of the plan is pursued in two different aspects, which are both hardware and software. In a hardware aspect, the plan in to develop Pusan into a city which is suitable for one of the best fishing ports in the world. That is, it is to develop the city into a place famous for sightseeing as well as the distribution and processing of fish-products centering around fish-piers. On the other hand, in a software aspet, it is regarding improvement of the distribution system of fish-products. One way to do that is to make up some deficiencies of the current system of a producers' joint sale. And the other is to establish an exchange of fish-products futures. Through these institutions, we could abrsorb speculative funds, which would otherwise be invested in speculation on fish-products, into productive investment opportunities, We believe that if the plan is realized, the deep-sea fishery in Korea will revive from a long-tasted depression and make progress to become one of the mai industries of Korea.

토마술로 알고리즘을 이용하는 비순차실행 프로세서의 설계 및 모의실행 (The Design and Simulation of Out-of-Order Execution Processor using Tomasulo Algorithm)

  • 오늘날 서버, 데스크탑, 노트북과 같은 범용 컴퓨터뿐만이 아니라, 가전, 임베디드 시스템에서 중앙처리장치는 대부분 멀티코어 프로세서로 구성된다. 멀티코어 프로세서의 성능향상을 위하여, 토마술로 알고리즘을 적용한 비순차실행 프로세서를 각 코어 프로세서로 이용하는 것이 요구된다. 토마술로 알고리즘을 적용한 비순차실행 프로세서는 명령어 간의 종속성이 없고 피연산자가 준비된 명령어를 순서와 관계없이 먼저 실행하고, 분기어 너머로 예측실행을 수행함으로써, 모든 명령어를 순서대로 실행하는 순차실행 프로세서보다 성능을 크게 높일 수가 있다. 본 논문에서는 VHDL의 레코드 데이터형을 이용하여 토마술로 알고리즘을 이용하는 비순차실행 프로세서를 설계하고, GHDL로 검증하였다. 모의실험 결과, ARM 명령어로 구성된 프로그램에 대한 연산을 성공적으로 수행할 수 있었다.

  • Busan Port which is the representative social overhead capital facilities for international trade of goods has been the driving force for economic development in Korea. Therefore, the central government should play the major role in building a rear road to Busan Port in order that it may function as a mojor port of Northeastern Asia through the systemization of mutual assistance among connected facilities, completely equipped with port-related facilities befitting to the principal port of imports and exports. In this study, the validity of container tax is being examined, analyzing container tax which Is considered as an obstacle to the development of Busan Port and its purpose, and grasping the present conditions by the realistic speculation on container tax issues and its abolition. First, the port rear road as a social overhead capital facilities, which connects port and expressway, should be considered as part of port, and port is social overhead capital invested by government. Second, the susan City imposes on container tax. As a result, a shipper and a shipping company are paying a double charge by paying container tax with port dues. Third, someone argues that port rear road is constructed as container truck generates much traffic, but it is unreasonable to conclude that container truck is seed of traffic jam because according to traffic survey of Busan City, container truck occupies only 1.45% of total traffic Forth, it has bad influence upon the competitiveness of Busan Port as Northeastern logistics base, as other ports who are competing with Busan Port like Singapore. Cloning and Sequencing Analysis of the Repressor Gene of Temperate Mycobacteriophage L1

  • The wild-type and temperature-sensitive (ts) repressor genes were cloned from the temperate mycobacteriophage L1 and its mutant L1cIts391, respectively. A sequencing analysis revealed that the $131^{st}$ proline residue of the wild-type repressor was changed to leucine in the ts mutant repressor. The 100% identity that was discovered between the two DNA regions of phages L1 and L5, carrying the same sets of genes including their repressor genes, strengthened the speculation that L1 is a minor variant of phage L5 or vice versa. A comparative analysis of the repressor proteins of different mycobacteriophages suggests that the mycobacteriophage-specific repressor proteins constitute a new family of repressors, which were possibly evolved from a common ancestor. Alignment of the mycobacteriophage-specific repressor proteins showed at least 7 blocks (designated I-VII) that carried 3-8 identical amino acid residues. The amino acid residues of blocks V, VI, and some residues downstream to block VI are crucial for the function of the L1 (or L5) repressor. Blocks I and II possibly form the turn and helix 2 regions of the HTH motif of the repressor. Block IV in the L1 repressor is part of the most charged region encompassing amino acid residues 72-92, which flanks the putative N-terminal basic (residues 1-71) and C-terminal acidic (residues 93-183) domains of L1 repressor.

Influence of Reaction Conditions on the Grafting Pattern of 3-Glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane on Montmorillonite

  • Surface modification of montmorillonite (MMT) with 3-glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane (3GTO) in mild methanol/water mixture has been investigated in detail. The influence of reaction conditions (including silane concentration in feed, reaction time and reaction temperature) on the grafting amount and yield of silane, and further on the grafting pattern of silanes was studied by thermogravimetric analysis, elemental analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and BET. Higher silane concentration, longer reaction time and higher reaction temperature are all benefit to higher grafting amount. When the grafting reaction was performed with 3 mmol/g silane concentration, at $90^{\circ}C$ for 24 h, the grafted amount and yield of silane reached 1.4443 mmol/g and 30%, respectively. Based on the XRD and BET data analysis, a speculation that the grafting pattern of silanes was concentration dependence was proposed.

국내 먹는샘물의 특정 수질 항목에 대한 고찰 (Speculation on the Water Quality for the Natural Mineral Water)

  • 국내 먹는샘물의 수질기준치를 초과할 가능성이 있는 수질 항목에 대해 취수정의 심도와 지질을 연관시켜 고찰하였다. 5년 간(1998~2002)의 수질분석 결과에 의한 질산성질소의 평균 함량 범위는 0.8~1.09 mg/L, 불소의 평균 함량은 0.37~0.45 mg/h, 수소이온농도의 평균은 7.30~7.59이다. 이는 비슷한 도의 일반 지하수와 유사한 값을 보여서 천부 지하수의 유입 가능성을 지시한다. 전반적으로 이들 수질항목과 취수정의 심도, 지질과는 뚜렷한 관련성을 보이지 않는다. 먹는샘물의 평균 비소함량은 1999년의 0.0024 mg/L에서 2002년의 0.0066 mg/L으로, 비소 함량이 0.001 mg/L 이상인 먹는샘물 제조 업체의 비율도 1999년에 20.1%에서 2002년에 64.9%로 증가하고 있다. 2002년 현재, 향후 USEPA의 음용수 중 비소함량 기준으로 예상되는 0.01 mg/L을 초과하는 먹는샘물 제조업체 수는 57개소 중 11개소이다.

복잡한 사고에 의해 유발되는 간질발작 2예 (Two Patients with Epilepsy Induced by Complex Thinking)

  • Reflex epilepsies are distinct but not clearly understood clinical entity. Various cerebral activities induced by simple stimulation including visual, auditory, somatosensory stimulation, as well as diverse functional tasks such as reading, calculation, complex thinking are believed to be seizure-inducing factors. We experienced two patients whose seizures were readily precipitated by complex, strenuous thinking. Both patients was teen-aged boy at the onset of seizure(13, and 15 years of age each) with normal physical and mental growth. Although first seizure was precipitated by watching TV and playing puzzles in each patient, initial diagnosis was idiopathic generalized epilepsy, possibly juvenile myoclonic epilepsy( JME). For the first few years, seizures were infrequent but mostly precipitated by the tasks needs concentration such as playing computer games, decision-making, mathematics, reading, or during the examination. EEG revealed various thinking process including reading hard books, drawing complex figure, complex calculation induced epileptic discharges even if it usually needs certain period of concentration. Phenytoin, valproic acid, clonazepam, vigabatrin, and lamotrigine sometimes abated their seizures but none of these made them seizure-free. Complex reflex epilepsy induced by thinking was proposed to be a separate type of epilepsy or a variant of JME. Age, sex, stereotypic seizure-inducing factors, clinical course, and refractory epilepsies in these patients highly suggested this type of epilepsy as a variant of JME but its refractoriness and unique provocation still needs more speculation.

Role of Gap Junctions in the Endothelium-Dependent Hyperpolarization of Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells

  • Hyperpolarization of arterial smooth muscle by acetylcholine is considered to be produced by the release of an unidentified chemical substance, an endothelium-derived hyperpolarizing factor (EDHF). Several chemicals have been proposed as the candidate for EDHF. However, none of them fulfil completely the nature and property of EDHF. Ultrastructural observation with electron microscope reveals that in some arteries, gap junctions are formed between endothelial and smooth muscle cells. In small arterioles, injection of gap junction permeable dyes into an endothelial cell results in a distribution of the dye to surrounding cells including smooth muscle cells. These observations allow the speculation that myoendothelial gap junctions may have a functional significance. Simultaneous measurement of the electrical responses in both endothelial and smooth muscle cells using the double patch clamp method demonstrates that these two cell types are indeed electrically coupled, indicating that they behave as a functional syncytium. The EDHF-induced hyperpolarization is produced by an activation of $Ca^{2+}-sensitive\;K^+-channels$ that are inhibited by charybdotoxin and apamin. Agonists that release EDHF increase $[Ca^{2+}]_i$ in endothelial cells but not in smooth muscle cells. Inhibition of gap junctions with chemical agents abolishes the agonist-induced hyperpolarization in smooth muscle cells but not in endothelial cells. All these observations can be explained if EDHF is an electrotonic signal propagating from endothelium to smooth muscle cells through gap junctions.

  • 에너지는 경제활동과 사람들의 삶에 있어서 필수적인 요소이고 다양한 산업에서 활용하고 있는 중요한 자원이며 상품 시장의 금융화로 인해 원유가 다른 자산과 동일한 자산으로 변함으로써 그 중요성이 커지고 있다. 이에 따라 에너지 가격과 투자 심리간의 상관관계를 분석한 연구들은 대부분 경제적 요인과 투기를 통해 투자 심리가 유가에 영향을 미친다고 설명하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 에너지 가격과 관련하여 가장 대표적인 유가 변동에 따른 충격이 투자자 의사결정에 영향을 미쳐 투자 심리 변화에 영항을 주는가에 대한 내용을 중심으로 전반적인 에너지 가격 변동이 투자 심리에 영향을 미치는가에 대한 내용을 분석하고자 하였으며, 에너지 가격이 투자 심리에 어떠한 연관성이 있는지를 파악하기 위하여 웨이블릿 일관성 분석(wavelet coherence analysis)을 적용하여 주기별(단기, 중기, 장기) 에너지 가격이 투자 심리를 예측할 수 있는지를 분석하였다. 연구결과 에너지 가격과 투자 심리 사이의 시간 척도별로 차이가 발생하며 투자 심리 안정화를 위해 정책은 시간 척도별 효과를 고려하여야 하며, 에너지 가격과 관련한 투자 심리의 영향력은 단기보다 장기에서 더 크게 나타나고 있으며 마지막으로 시장에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 특정 사건 등이 발생하는 경우 에너지 가격과 투자 심리의 관련성 차이가 발생하기 때문에 이를 감안한 정책 및 시장 변화에 집중해야 할 필요가 있는 것으로 판단된다.
