중성자 모니터링을 위한 전도성 10B 박막 개발 (The development of conductive 10B thin film for neutron monitoring)

  • 중성자 검출분야에서$^3He$는 높은 중성자 검출효율 때문에 아주 많이 사용되고 있다. 하지만 2009년 초반부터 발생하고 있는 전세계적인 $^3He$의 품귀현상으로 인하여 가격이 급등하고 수급이 어려워졌기 때문에 대체 중성자 검출물질에 대한 필요성이 높아졌다. 그러므로 중성자 검출물질로 사용될 수는 있지만 $^3He$에 비해 반응효율이 낮아 중성자 검출용으로 주로 사용되지 않던 물질들을 사용하여 검출기를 제작하는 연구가 다시 활발하게 진행되고 있다. $BF_3$, $^6Li$, $^{10}B$, $Gd_2O_2S$ 등과 같은 $^3He$ 대체 물질들 중 하나인 $^{10}B$은 손쉬운 감마선 구별, 무독성, 낮은 가격 등과 같은 여러 장점으로 인하여 여러 연구그룹에서 연구되고 있다. $^{10}B$ 박막을 이용한 중성자 검출은 중성자와 반응하여 발생되는 2차 방사선을 측정하여 간접적으로 중성자를 측정하는 검출기법이다. 반응을 통해 생성된 알파입자의 비정은 고체 내에서 아주 짧기 때문에 $^{10}B$ 층은 박막 형태로 얇게 제작해야 한다. 그러므로 중성자와 박막의 반응을 통해 발생되는 알파입자의 검출효율을 증가시키기 위해서는 $^{10}B$ 박막의 두께를 얇게 제작하는 것이 중요하다. 하지만 박막의 두께를 얇게 제작하는 것은 중성자와 반응하여 생성되는 알파입자의 수집효율을 증가시키는 장점이 있지만 또한 중성자와 반응할 단면적을 감소시키는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 리튬이온전지에 사용되는 초박막 극판 제조 기술을 이용하여 중성자 검출을 위한 대략 $60{\mu}m$ 두께의 얇은 $^{10}B$ 박막을 제작하였다. 그리고 전도성, 분포, 점착력, 유연성와 같은 간단한 물리적 실험을 통해 제작된 $^{10}B$ 박막의 물성을 확인하였다. 또한, 제작된 $^{10}B$ 박막을 사용하여 중성자 모니터링을 위한 비례계수기 제작하고 이를 이용하여 한국원자력연구원의 중성자 조사시설의 중성자 파고 스펙트럼을 측정하였다. 또한, 중성자 검출효율을 증가시킬 수 있는 방법 중 하나인 다층 박막을 이용한 중성자 측정 방법을 이용하여 박막 층수에 따른 중성자 검출효율의 변화를 몬테칼로 전산모사 기법을 이용하여 계산하였고 실험을 통해 박막층의 증가에 따른 신호변화를 측정하였다.

사중극 질량 분석기의 이온소스 오염이 이온전류에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Contamination of Ion Source on Ionic Current of Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer)

  • 사중극 질량분석기(Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer, QMS) 이온전류의 안정성은 진공공정 가스를 모니터링 하는데 중요한 요소 중 하나이다. 진공챔버에 질소가스를 주입하여 압력을 일정하게 유지하면서 시간에 따른 이온전류의 변화를 모니터링 하였다. 진공챔버는 측정하기 전에 잡음신호를 줄이기 위해 ${\sim}3{\times}10^{-9}\;Torr$ 까지 배기하였고, 두개의 이온소스를 측정했다; 하나는 오염된 것으로 갈색 또는 검은색을 띄고 있고 다른 하나는 새 것이다. 질소 압력 $1{\times}10^{-5}\;Torr$에서, 오염된 이온소스의 이온 전류는 시간이 지남에 따라 더 빨리 감소했다. 대략 5.5 시간이 지난 후, 감소율은 새 것이 ${\sim}46%$이고 오염된 것은 ${\sim}84%$였다. 필라멘트 재질이 이온 전류감소에 미치는 영향을 관찰하기 위해서 텅스텐 선의 반을 산화이트륨($Y_2O_3$)으로 코팅하여 필라멘트를 제작하였다. 유사한 이온전류 감소현상이 재질이 다른 두 필라멘트에서 나타났는데 이것은 필라멘트 재질에 의한 온도의 변화 즉 baking 효과로는 이온전류 감소의 원인을 개선할 수 없다는 것을 의미한다. 전반적으로 이온전류의 감소율은 필라멘트 재질보다 이온소스의 오염과 더 밀접하게 관계되어 있다.

간 이식 소아에서 발생한 이식 후 림프 증식 질환: 단일 기관에서의 21년 경험 (Posttransplantation Lymphoproliferative Disorder after Liver Transplantation in Pediatric Patients: Report from a Single-center Over 21 Years)

  • 목 적: 간 이식 소아에서 발생한 PTLD의 경험을 통해 발현 양상, 발병 위험 인자, 진단 방법, 치료 및 예후에 영향을 줄 수 있는 요인들을 알아보았다. 방 법: 1988년 1월부터 2009년 6월까지 서울대학교 어린이병원에서 간 이식을 받은 소아 148명 중 PTLD로 진단된 8명의 환아들을 대상으로 후향적 분석을 하였다. 이식당시 나이, 이식 후 PTLD 증상이 나타날 때 까지의 기간, 임상적 증상, 조직학적 소견, EBV 검사 결과, 치료 및 경과에 대해 조사하였다. 결 과: 간 이식 후 PTLD의 유병률은 5.4%였고, 발생시기는 조기 PTLD가 6명(75%), 후기 PTLD가 2명(25%)이었다. 대상 환아의 간 이식 당시 나이는 평균8.1${\pm}$4.4개월로, 12개월 미만이 7명(87.5%), 12개월 이후가 1명(12.5%)이었다. PTLD 진단 시 주증상은 발열, 설사, 혈변이었고 모두 장이나 장간막 림프절 침범이 있었다. 3명은 개복 수술로 5명은 상부 위장관 내시경이나 대장 내시경을 통한 조직 검사로 진단되었다. 조직학적 진단은 early lesion이 3명, polymorphic PTLD 2명, monomorphic PTLD 1명, Burkitt 림프종 1명, B 세포 림프종이 1명이었다. EBV는 7명에서 양성을 보였다. 치료는 전례에서 1차 치료로 면역억제제를 중지하고 항바이러스제(ganciclovir)를 투여 하였다. 4명의 환아들에서 rituximab을 추가하였고 Burkitt 림프종과 B 세포림프종으로 진단된 환아들은 각각 항암 치료를 병행하였다. B 세포 림프종으로 진단되어 치료 중에 패혈증으로 1명이 사망하였으며 나머지 7명은 호전되었다. 결 론: 1세 미만에 간 이식을 받은 경우가 PTLD 발생의 주요한 위험 인자였으며, EBV viral load의 지속적인 감시와 위장관 내시경을 통한 조직 검사가 PTLD 조기진단에 유용할 것으로 생각한다.

영국 공원녹지 정책의 최근 경향과 특성 (The Implications and Characteristics of the Policies for Park and Green Spaces in England)

  • 최근 공원녹지 공간은 여가 활동의 장소로 뿐만 아니라 환경복지, 사회교육과 일자리 창출, 탄소 저감 등에도 기여하고 있다. 그래서 공원녹지는 도로, 하천, 항만, 상하수도, 배수 같은 도시기반시설로 이해하거나, 교육 및 문화, 복지 시설 등과 같은 인프라에 포함하기도 한다. 이러한 변화는 공원 및 녹지 공간 관련 정책에 반영되고 있고, 많은 국가나 지자체에서 관심을 갖고 투자하고 있다. 영국에서 근래 이루어진 정책적 쇄신은 이에 대한 좋은 예라 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 2002년 이후 영국에서 이루어진 공원녹지 정책의 변화 과정과 내용, 변화된 정책의 특징과 시사점을 다루었다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다양한 정책서를 통한 정책 참여와 실천 유도이다. 이는 추상적 문구와 일반적 유형을 나열하여 실행 효과가 미흡한 성문법보다 실천적인 방법이라고 할 수 있다. 둘째, 공원녹지공간의 정치적 행정적 위상 제고다. 일례로 공원녹지 공간 관련 정책 및 프로그램을 총괄적으로 조정할 수 있는 조직인 케이브 스페이스를 설립하였다. 셋째, 도시공원과 녹지를 위한 지원금 제도의 도입과 실행이다. 넷째, 공원녹지 공간의 질 저하 방지와 향상을 위한 단기적 장기적 정책 마련이다. 다섯째, 중앙정부, 지방정부, 커뮤니티의 역할배분과 파트너십 구축이다. 중앙정부는 지방정부와 제도적, 정보적 지원, 모니터링, 우수 사례 선발 같은 방식으로 파트너십을 유지하고 있다. 마지막으로는 정책수립과 실천에 다양한 주체들과 커뮤니티의 참여이다. 정책수립과 실천에 중앙정부조직들뿐만 아니라 제 3부문의 단체들, 민간기업 등을 포함시킴으로써 여러 정책과의 연계성 및 실천성을 높였다. 근래 우리나라에서는 공원 일몰제, 조경법, 도시숲법 등 당면 문제와 기후변화에 대한 대처, 질 높은 도시의 삶, 지속가능성 확보 등으로 인해 공원녹지 정책에 대한 재고가 요구되고 있다. 그러나 공원녹지정책에 관한 연구는 미흡한 현실이다. 이에 국가적 차원에서 공원녹지 정책을 체계적으로 다루고 있는 영국의 사례 검토는 의미 있는 일이다.

습지대 변화 관측을 위한 ALOS-2 광대역 모드 적용 연구 (Evaluation of Space-based Wetland InSAR Observations with ALOS-2 ScanSAR Mode)

  • 인공위성 영상레이더 위상간섭기법은 널리 활용되고 있는 원격탐사 기술로서 지진, 화산, 지반침하 등으로부터 발생한 단단한 지각 표면의 변위를 매우 정밀하게 주기적으로 관측할 수 있는 연구 활용분야의 한 종류이다. 습지대 환경처럼 수상 표면에 식생이 존재하는 경우에는 지표면과 동일한 방법을 적용하여 넓은 지역에 대한 높은 공간해상도의 수위 변화 지도 제작이 가능하다. 현재 다양한 파장 대역의 인공위성 영상레이더 시스템이 운용 중에 있으며 여기에는 넓은 지역에 대한 영상을 효과적으로 획득할 수 있는 광역 관측 ScanSAR 모드를 제공하는 위성도 다수 포함되어 있다. 본 논문의 연구 지역인 콜롬비아 북부의 Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta (CGSM) 습지대는 카리브 해안을 따라 고지대에 위치한 광대한 습지 지역이다. CGSM 습지대는 해수면 상승과 기후 변화와 같은 자연적인 원인 뿐만 아니라 20세기 후반부터 시작된 농업개발 및 도시확장 등의 다양한 인간 활동으로 인한 심각한 환경적 위협을 받고 있다. 최근 해당 습지 지역에 대한 생태학적 중요성이 대두되면서 해당 습지를 보호하고 복원하기 위한 다양한 계획이 진행 중에 있다. 주기적인 습지대 환경 모니터링에 있어 수위 변화 관측은 매우 중요한 자료를 제공하며 일반적으로 수위계와 같은 현장관측 자료 등에 의존하는 경우가 많다. 수위계의 경우 시간적으로 연속적인 자료 관측이 가능하지만 공간적 분포를 이해하기에는 어려운 경우가 많다. 본 연구에서는 현장 관측의 공간적 해상도의 부족함을 보완하기 위한 L-밴드 ALOS-2 PALSAR-2 ScanSAR 광역 관측 모드 자료의 영상레이더 위상간섭기법 습지대 수위 변화 관측 활용 가능성에 대해 평가하고자 한다. 광역 관측 모드의 공간해상도 및 위상간섭도 품질 비교를 위해 ALOS-2 PALSAR-2 stripmap 고해상 모드와 함께 분석하였다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N.
