In this paper generating algorithms of the conventional chaos code sequences and a new chaos code sequence derived from the real and imaginary parts of FFT of one chaos code sequence, and the time-frequency function characteristics of generated code sequences to measure the signal resolution, are considered. And two chaos based QCSK digital communication systems-one with two different chaos code sequences, the other with FFT of one chaos code sequence-are analyzed in AWGN and fading communication channels. After analyzing the correlation functions of such sequences, the delta-like autocorrelation and near zero crosscorrelation functions of them are very suitable for chaos based spread spectrum communication systems, is verified. Through evaluating the performance of two chaos based QCSK systems above using Monte-Carlo simulation, the improvement of performance in the latter QCSK system compare favorably with that of the former system, is shown.

The springing response of a large blunt ship was considered to be influenced by a second order interaction between the incoming irregular wave and the blunt geometry of the forebody of the ship. Little efforts have been made to simulate this complicated fluid-structure interaction phenomenon under irregular waves considering the second order effect; hence, the above mentioned premise still remains unproven. In this paper, efforts were made to quantify the second order effect between the wave and vibrating flexible ship structure by analyzing the experimental data obtained through the model basin test of the scaled-segmented model of a large blunt ship. To achieve this goal, the measured vertical bending moment and the wave elevation time history were analyzed using a higher order spectral analysis technique, where the quadratic interaction between the excitation and response was captured by the cross bispectrum of two randomly oscillating variables. The nonlinear response of the vibrating hull was expressed in terms of a quadratic Volterra series assuming that the wave excitation is Gaussian. The Volterra series was then orthogonalized using Barrett's procedure to remove the interference between the kernels of different orders. Both the linear and quadratic transfer functions of the given system were then derived based on a Fourier transform of the orthogonalized Volterra series. Finally, the response was decomposed into a linear and quadratic part to determine the contribution of the second order effect using the obtained linear and quadratic transfer functions of the system, combined with the given wave spectrum used in the experiment. The contribution of the second order effect on the springing response of the analyzed ship was almost comparable to the linear one in terms of its peak power near the resonance frequency.
This study intends to identify applicability of natural dye extracted from Aplysia kurodai, aiming to standardization of Aplysia kurodai natural dyeing through scientific validation by analyzing characteristics of pigment elements to review dyeability, colorfastness and antibacterial activity. Such material as silk fabrics that is animal fiber were used for this purpose, and derived following summarized results. UV/VIS spectrum analysis on the pigment of Aplysia kurodai that was extracted from purple gland showed that maximum absorbtion was near 540 nm. The silk fabric optimal dyeing can be achieved at a temperature of $55^{\circ}C$ with a colorant concentration of 5%. Dyed at $55^{\circ}C$ with interval of 10~90 minutes for identifying dye uptake over time to observed slow increase of dye uptake over time, and equilibrium occurred at 50 minutes. For dye uptake according to pH, while dye uptake was superior in acidity, it decreased rapidly in a base after pH 7. For color changes according to pH variation, it was reddish purple in acidity and was purplish red in a base. For color changes according to mordanting method, more clear color change had been obtained when process with aluminium pre-mordanting than non-mordanting and post-mordanting. The colorfastness to light, perspiration and washing was 1, 4~5, and 3~4 ratings respectively. The silk fabric dyed with Aplysia kurodai demonstrated excellent antimicrobial activity to Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae. The Aplysia kurodai can be used as a new colorant for the natural dyeing of silk.
In this study, the reductive dechlorination of triclosan using zero-valent iron (ZVI, $Fe^0$) and modified zero-valent iron (i.e., acid-washed iron (Aw/Fe) and palladium-coated iron (Pd/Fe)) was experimentally investigated, and the reduction characteristics were evaluated by analyzing the reaction kinetics. Triclosan could be reductively decomposed using zero-valent iron. The degradation rates of triclosan were about 50% and 67% when $Fe^0$ and Aw/Fe were used as reductants, respectively, after 8 h of reaction. For the Pd/Fe system, the degradation rate was about 57% after 1 h of reaction. Thus, Pd/Fe exhibited remarkable performance in the reductive degradation of triclosan. Several dechlorinated intermediates were predicted by GC-MS spectrum, and 2-phenoxyphenol was detected as the by-product of the decomposition reaction of triclosan, indicating that reductive dechlorination occurred continuously. As the reaction proceeded, the pH of the solution increased steadily; the pH increase for the Pd/Fe system was smaller than that for the $Fe^0$ and Aw/Fe system. Further, zero-order, first-order, and second-order kinetic models were used to analyze the reaction kinetics. The first-order kinetic model was found to be the best with good correlation for the $Fe^0$ and Aw/Fe system. However, for the Pd/Fe system, the experimental data were evaluated to be well fitted to the second-order kinetic model. The reaction rate constants (k) were in the order of Pd/Fe > Aw/Fe > $Fe^0$, with the rate constant of Pd/Fe being much higher than that of the other two reductants.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to develop the radiographic technique for detecting the demineralization which is known as indication of dental caries. Materials and Methods: This technique was based on the comparing of multiple radiographs which was irradiated by multiple X-ray spectra. For the meaningful comparing, the multiple radiographs were reconstructed to the dosimetrically consistent images using a standard material. The difference of resulting images of same target with multiple spectra represents the difference of response of material as regards the spectra. Results : We have found about 10% of demineralization of dental hard tissues particularly in the proximal region through the analyzing of differences. Conclusion: Most intriguing thing in this investigation was that the method to analyze difference shows us to an anatomic structure of dental hard tissues even if absolute values of optical density were excluded during the procedures. Analyzing the aspects of pattern in MMORPG that has been leading our domestic game industry to the climax, our game industry might be thought to orient the space narrative storytelling method containing the leading life in the virtual sociality to the nature of society. It is essential to have the convergence and linkage between media in describing the lifestyle in the virtual society, which should be operated in a very flexible manner. It is, however, true that we are lacking of the quantification of designing process until now, although the designing process should have the vivid academic functions between media in advance. In addition, the designing crossing over the MMORPG genre along with the game patterns in the MMORPG genre has close correlations with the spectrum of crises emerging recently in our domestic online game industry. In other words, this essay aims at raising an issue that the selective method to the lifestyle in the virtual society being settled down as characteristics inherent to the methods of our domestic online games might deliver the improving effects through the establishment of game designing jobs and compliant plans.

At the present time, it is an important problem that we are to select a transmission line code for the very-high speed optical transmission system which can confidentially transfer the original information signal sequence efficiently, as it is to be the large capacity and the economization for the optical digital transmission system to transfer the information signal sequence at the very-high speed. Therefore, this paper is to select first the proper transmission line codes for the high speed(more than Mb/s) optical transmission system of the proposed two-level unipolar transmission line codes up to date, and to decide a mBIZ (m Binary with One Zero insertion) code as an optimal transmission line code for the very-high speed optical transmission system, resulting from analyzing the performance at the requirements of the transmission line code, such as the maximum consecutive identical digits, the transmission delay time, the increasing rate of clock, the mark rate, the circuit complexity, the supervision of transmission line error, and power spectrum among the selected transmission line codes.
In order to quickly understand which changes of source codes have been made and to perform effective maintenance of a system, it is important to visualize the changed parts. Although there are many works for analyzing software changes, there are few works for visualizing both of the change types and change quantifications for Java based systems. In this paper, we propose a change analysis technique based on class diagram and provide a change visualization technique by using change quantification information. In order to check the structural changes in source codes, source codes are transformed to class diagrams by reverse engineering methods. On the class diagrams, the changes are analyzed and quantified by numbers. Based on the change quantification, the changes are visualized on the class diagram by color spectrum. By using visualization techniques, maintainers can easily recognize the code changes to reduce the cost and time of maintenance.

As a model house has attempted a role change from a conceptual perspective as a housing cultural center starting from the 90ties, it began to direct the change into a high end building. In particular, large construction companies have recently invested on an unimagined scale, unlike in the past, in building a model house and pursued the construction of new attractions of cities as well as the upgrade of a brand image by hiring and implementing the designs of celebrity architects or designers. In addition, they have been in pursuit of a change by enhancing the satisfaction and pride of residents by offering spaces and programs for various cultural arts for apartment residents or potential customers and having them participate in those programs. This study aims to expound on the possibility of the utilization of a housing cultural center as a local complex community center by analyzing the spatial organization and the operational program of a housing cultural center appearing since the 90ties. With this aim, the study analyzed the cases of a complex community center and the program and the operational method of a housing cultural center within the case study in order to propose the possibilities for the utilization of a local complex community center. The elevation of the cultural and economic level of citizens and a rapid social change are shown as various demands for welfare, and the subsequent social physical change has led to the expansion of a space as a complex community. A housing cultural center is also directed to grow as a complex community center from the perspective of diverse demands and participations of consumers, and prepares a field for a broad spectrum of communications from the perspective of housing and cities.

Purpose: This study evaluated the feasibility of using a discrete wavelet transform (DWT) method as a preprocessing tool for visible/near-infrared spectroscopy (VIS/NIRS) with a spectroscopic transmittance dataset for predicting the internal quality of cherry tomatoes. Methods: VIS/NIRS was used to acquire transmittance spectrum data, to which a DWT was applied to generate new variables in the wavelet domain, which replaced the original spectral signal for subsequent partial least squares (PLS) regression analysis and prediction modeling. The DWT concept and its importance are described with emphasis on the properties that make the DWT a suitable transform for analyzing spectroscopic data. Results: The $R^2$ values and root mean squared errors (RMSEs) of calibration and prediction models for the firmness, sugar content, and titratable acidity of cherry tomatoes obtained by applying the DWT to a PLS regression with a set of spectra showed more enhanced results than those of each model obtained from raw data and mean normalization preprocessing through PLS regression. Conclusions: The developed DWT-incorporated PLS models using the db5 wavelet base and selected approximation coefficients indicate their feasibility as good preprocessing tools by improving the prediction of firmness and titratable acidity for cherry tomatoes with respect to $R^2$ values and RMSEs.
