Location Awareness Method using Vector Matching of RSSI in Low-Rate WPAN (저속 WPAN에서 수신신호세기의 Vector Matching을 이용한 위치 인식 방식)

  • Recently, RFID/USN is one of fundamental technologies in information and communications networks. Low-Rate WPAN, IEEE802.15.4 is a low-cost communication network that allows wireless connectivity in applications with limited Power and relaxed throughput requirements. Its applications are building automation, personal healthcare, industrial control, consumer electronics, and so on. Some applications require location information. Of course location awareness is useful to improve usability of data Low-Rate WPAN Is regarded as a key specification of the sensor network with the characteristics of wireless communication, computing, energy scavenging, self-networking, and etc. Unfortunately ZigBee alliance propose a lot of applications based on location aware technologies, but the specification and low-rate WPAN devices don't support anything about location-based services. RSSI ( Received Signal Strength indication) is for energy detection to associate, channel selection, and etc. RSSI is used to find the location of a potable device in WLAN. In this paper we studied indoor location awareness using vector matching of RSSI in low-Rate wireless PAN. We analyzed the characteristics of RSSI according to distance and experimented location awareness. We implemented sensor nodes with different shapes and configured the sensor network for the location awareness with 4 fixed nodes and a mobile node. We try to contribute developing location awareness method using RSSI in 3-dimension space.

  • According to glowing computing capacity, software in remote sensing has supported diverse processing interfaces from batch interface to high-end user interactive interface. In this paper, component based visual modeler is developed to process batch jobs for high-end users as well as novices. Visual modeler arranges several node groups which are categorized according to their purposes. These nodes carry out elemental unit processes and can be grouped to model. The model represents user specified job which is composed diverse nodes. User can organize models by connecting diverse nodes according to data flow model specification which rules node's connectivity and direction, etc. Furthermore, user defined models can be together to organize much more complex and large model.

  • Web GIS, based on the latest web-technology, has evolved to provide efficient and accurate spatial information to users. Furthermore, Web GIS Server has improved the performance constantly to respond user web requests and to offer spatial information service. This research aims to create a designed and implemented Web GIS Server that is named as Nodemap which uses the emergent technology, Node.js, which has been issued for an event-oriented, non-blocking I/O model framework for coding JavaScript on the server development. Basically, NodeMap is Web GIS Server that supports OGC implementation specification. It is designed to process GIS data by using DBMS, which supports spatial index and standard spatial query function. And NodeMap uses Node-Canvas module supported HTML5 canvas to render spatial information on tile map. Lastly, NodeMap uses Express module based connect module framework. NodaMap performance demonstration confirmed a possibility of applying Node.js as a (next/future) Web GIS Server development technology through the benchmarking. Having completed its quality test of NodeMap, this study has shown the compatibility and potential for Node.js as a Web GIS server development technology, and has shown the bright future of internet GIS service.

  • With the improvement of wireless communication and embedded technology, WSN is used at various fields. Meanwhile, because WSN is resource constrained, it is more vulnerable than other networks. To solve the security problem of WSN, we can use the traditional secure mechanism like as cryptography and authentication. But the traditional secure mechanism is not enough for all security issues that may be happened in WSN, especially attacks caused by the compromised node. So, we need the IDS as the second secure mechanism for WSN. In this paper, we propose the Specification-based Intrusion Detection Mechanism that makes LEACH, which is one of the clustering routing protocol for WSN, more reliable and safety.

  • In this paper we present a new-generation sensor network processor which is not optimized in circuit level, but in system architecture level. The new design build on a conventional processor architecture, improving the design by focusing on application oriented specification, ISA, and micro-architectural optimization that reduce overall design size and advance energy-per-instruction. The design employs harvard architecture, 8-bit data paths, and an compact 19 bit wide RISC ISA. The design also features a unique interrupt handler which offloads periodical monitoring jobs from the main part of CPU. Our most efficient design is capable of running at 300 KHz (0.3 MIPS) while consuming only about few pJ/instruction.

  • Extensible 3D (X3D) is the ISO standard for defining 3D interactive web- and broadcast-based 3D content integrated with multimedia. With the advent of this integration of interactive 3D graphics into the web, users can easily produce 3D scenes within web contents. Even though there are diverse texture nodes in X3D, projective textures are not provided. We enable X3D to provide SingularProjectiveTexture and MultiProjectiveTexture nodes by materializing independent nodes of projector nodes for a singular projector and multi-projector. Our approach takes the creation of an independent projective texture node instead of Kamburelis's method, which requires inconvenient and duplicated specifications of two nodes, ImageTexture and Texture Coordinate.

  • In a SDH network, one of the most important issues is the realization of network synchronization. In this paper, we presented the relationship between parameters and control algorithm of DP-PLL for design in a SDH based time, SSM processing time, PJE counter and reference switching time, and analyzed phase transients for one node and mutiple nodes through our simulation results with a standard specification. We suggested suitable design method of SDH-DP-PLL.

  • 인터넷 기술의 발전과 더불어 가상현실을 표현하기 위한 컴퓨터 그래픽스 파일 포맷(format) 기술(specification) 표준화가 진행중이다. 가상현실에서 시각효과의 영향이 가장 크기 때문에, 실시간에 가장 사실적인 영상을 제공하는 여러 가지 기술들이 개발되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 현실감을 높이면서 빠른 시간에 렌더링 영상을 제공하는 방법들 중 하나인 영상기반 렌더링 방법에 대한 노드를 설계하여 VRML 확장 노드로 제안하고자 한다.

  • A delegation of privileges is one of important processes that empower authority to relevant node to process job that user wants in large-stale distributed environment such as Grid Computing. However, existing delegation methods do not give suitable privilege about Job, and do not atomize range of delegation and exists delegation of access privilege for only resources itself that is not delegation about executing process of job itself. Also, they do not apply about process that needs delegation before and after. execution of job such as reservation of system resources or host access before and after execution. Therefore, this paper proposes a method and specification for restricted delegation in distributed environment. Proposed method separates delegation for job side and privilege side, and express specification and procedure of delegation using XML schema and UML and present restricted delegation scenario in distributed computing environment.
