In this paper, we applied the high-performance PGAP(Parallel Genetic Algorithm Processor) to recognizing rotated pattern. In order to perform this research efficiently, we used Multi-PGAP system consisted of four PGAP. In addition, we used mental rotation based on the rotated pattern recognition mechanism of human to reduce the number of operation. Also, we experimented with distinguishing specific pattern from similar coin patterns and determine rotated angle between patterns. The result showed that the development of future artificial recognition system is feasible by employing high performance PGAPS.

The purpose of this exclusive welding-machine process using the welding Torch-rotation form is to develop a mechanism which can solve the problem of twisted welding wires and cables. The technique was developed by revising the torch position and smooth controlling of both the formal and reverse rotation. Some of the advantages of using the Torch-rotation form over the Work-rotation technique are the practical uses of increased work space and link work with the automation system of the plant. Using this welding machine process, It is possible to design a specific tool in order to solve the implemental problem. And I produced a control plate which can manipulate the progress of the entire process at the work place. Even if another kind of axle casing's welding work is used this process can be utilized if the fixed tip and work is produced and changed. The development if this exclusive welding-machine could reduce the manpower of skilled welding labor and after considerable analysis, this machine was found to increase productivity and better quality product in comparison to the handmade product.
Measurements of the optical activity become very important issues in fields related to polymers, optical communications, astronomy, physics and many more. Hence it need to introduce this subject in our regular curriculum. In this experiment, an inexpensive, reliable, motorized polarimeter system which is suitable for undergraduate courses is constructed with PASCO's well-known Science Workshop 750 and a rotational motion sensor and light sensor, and the system is presented along with its experimental formulas. After responsivity of this system was checked by a half wave plate, and some repetitive experiments with 30% sucrose solution at 543.8 nm were performed. Comparing the experimental result with two calculated values from CRC data[1] showed that the specific rotation of the sucrose sample could be strongly suggested to be around +76 deg.cc/g.dm and it was an amply acceptable result for most undergraduate level courses.
A series of test were undertaken in order to estabilish the effect of different milling variables on dimension and quality of aluminium flake powder. Milling conditions such as initial powder size, milling container rotation speed, milling time, and ball size were varied to produce aluminium flake powder. Flake powder could then be obtained with size range from 15 $\mu$m to 40 $\mu$m with a maximum specific surface area of 5 $m^{2}$/g by controlling milling conditions. Diameter of milled powders with different milling container rotation speed and ball size were compared with that obtained from theoretical model. The best flake powder was obtained in milling condition of initial powder with average size of 19 $\mu$m, mill container rotation speed of 80 rpm, balls of 9.5 mm diameter, and milling time of 40 hours.

In this paper, a new damage-detection method based on structural vibration is proposed. The essence of the proposed method is the detection of abrupt changes in rotation. Damage-induced rotation (DIR), which is determined from the modal flexibility of the structure, initially occurs only at a specific damaged location. Therefore, damage can be localized by evaluating abrupt changes in rotation. We conducted numerical simulations of two damage scenarios using a 10-story cantilever-type building model. Measurement noise was also considered in the simulation. We compared the sensitivity of the proposed method to localize damage to that of two conventional modal-flexibility-based damage-detection methods, i.e., uniform load surface (ULS) and ULS curvature. The proposed method was able to localize damage in both damage scenarios for cantilever structures, but the conventional methods could not.
Unilateral cleft lip is not a simple and independent problem in all aspects. nasal deformity results from the cleft lip, maxillary hypoplasia, and abnormal muscular pull on the nasal structures, including abnormal muscular tension on the alar base and abnormal position of the orbicularis oris muscle. Its gross and histopathologic characteristics include widening of the alar base, a midline deviation of the columella and septum to the noncleft side, dorsal displacement of the dome, lateral rotation of medial crura, buckling of the alar cartilage, and underdevelopment of the pyriform aperture. Since Dr. Millard first presented his method for repair of the unilateral cleft lip and nasal deformity in 1955, no other technique has gained as much popularity as the rotation-advancement principle. Principles established more than 50 years ago and techniques are evolving continuously. Unlike earlier procedures, this repair gives the surgeon the opportunity to manipulate the individual cleft elements through various modifications while maintaining Millard's original surgical and anatomical goals. Although this strategy is applied worldwide, successful execution is variable and highly operator dependent. Millard and many other surgeons have made technical variations to adjust the procedure to each specific patient, to address some of its faults, and to gain new advantages. We will review the Mulliken's modifications that Dr. Millard made to his original rotation-advancement principle and inform cases applied modifying the rotation-advancement principle.

In order to establish automation or optimization of the machining process, predictions of the forces in machining are often needed. A new model fur farces in milling with the experimental model based on the specific cutting pressure and the Oxley's predictive machining theory has been developed and is presented in this paper. The specific cutting pressure is calculated according to the definition of the 3 dimensional cutting forces suggested by Oxley and some preliminary milling experiments. Using the model, the average cutting forces and force variation against cutter rotation in milling can be predicted. Milling experimental tests are conducted to verify the model and the predictive results agree well with the experimental results.

In this paper, we propose a stereo vision system to solve correspondence problem with large disparity and sudden change in environment which result from small distance between camera and working objects. First of all, a specific feature is divided by predfined elementary feature. And then these are combined to obtain coded data for solving correspondence problem. We use Neural Network to extract elementary features from specific feature and to have adaptability to noise and some change of the shape. Fourier transformation and Log-polar mapping are used for obtaining appropriate Neural Network input data which has a shift, scale, and rotation invariability. Finally, we use associative memory to obtain coded data of the specific feature from the combination of elementary features. In spite of specific feature with some variation in shapes, we could obtain satisfactory 3-dimensional data from corresponded codes.
Control of coccidiosis depends on medication, management, immunity, or some combination of these methods. Prophylactic medication with anticoccidials remains the primary method of control, although the development of drug resistance is a major problem. Shuttle and rotation programs are increasingly used to delay the onset of drug resistance. Sensitivity testing has become an important tool in the identification of what specific medications will be effective in specific poultry operations. Management techniques for the control of coccidiosis have not been totally effective because most disinfectants do not kill the coccidial oocysts. Present methods for vaccination are currently limited to the use of controlled doses of live coccidia. New vaccination methods under investigation include vaccination with attenuated strains or parasite antigens produced either by fractionating the parasites or genetically engineered sub unit vaccines.
Chemical investigation on a colonial marine tunicate, Didemnum sp. led to the isolation of a series of indole alkaloids including a new (1) and two known metabolites (2-3). Based on the spectroscopic analysis including 1D and 2D NMR along with MS spectra, the structure of 1 (16-epi-18-acetyl herdmanine D) was elucidated as a new amino acid derivative. The absolute configuration of 1 was determined by comparison of specific rotation with the known compound. The structures of compounds 2 and 3 were also identified as bromoindole containing compounds N-(6-bromo-1H-indole-3-carbonyl)-L-arginine and (6-bromo-^1H-indol-3-yl) oxoacetamide, respectively, based on $^1H$ and $^{13}C$ NMR data, MS data and specific rotation value. Their pharmacological potentials as antibacterial agents and FXR antagonists were investigated, but no significant activity was found. However, the structural similarity of compound 1 to compound 4 suggested the anti-inflammatory potential of compound 1.
