In space syntax, the mathmatical process to get a integration could be restrictive in understanding spatial configuration since it is based on only one behavior model. In this study, As another approach to spatial configuration analysis based on behavioral model, there is the simulation tracking analysis model that simulates the movements of human in the space and analyze them. In this study, the relationship between integration and behavioral model will be defined and the similarities and the differences between space syntax and the simulation tracking analysis model will be demonstrated. Furthermore, these two analysis models will be understood as a variety of tools that can analyze an object in multiple viewpoints.

This paper presents a methodology to account for the partial or gradual changes of environmental phenomena in categorical map information for the fusion/integration of multiple spatial data. The fuzzy set based spatial data fusion scheme is applied in order to account for the fuzziness of boundaries in categorical information showing the partial or gradual environmental impacts. The fuzziness or uncertainty of boundary is represented as two kinds of fuzzy membership functions based on fuzzy object concept and the effects of them are quantitatively evaluated with the help of a cross validation procedure. A case study for landslide hazard assessment demonstrates the better performance of this scheme as compared to traditional crisp boundary representation.
The mathematical models for GIS-based spatial data integration have been developed for geological applications such as mineral potential mapping or landslide susceptibility analysis. Among various models, the effectiveness of fuzzy logic based integration of multiple sets of geological data is investigated and discussed. Unlike a traditional target-driven fuzzy integration approach, we propose a data-driven approach that is derived from statistical relationships between the integration target and related spatial geological data. The proposed approach consists of four analytical steps; data representation, fuzzy combination, defuzzification and validation. For data representation, the fuzzy membership functions based on the likelihood ratio functions are proposed. To integrate them, the fuzzy inference network is designed that can combine a variety of different fuzzy operators. Defuzzification is carried out to effectively visualize the relative possibility levels from the integrated results. Finally, a validation approach based on the spatial partitioning of integration targets is proposed to quantitatively compare various fuzzy integration maps and obtain a meaningful interpretation with respect to future events. The effectiveness and some suggestions of the schemes proposed here are illustrated by describing a case study for landslide susceptibility analysis. The case study demonstrates that the proposed schemes can effectively identify areas that are susceptible to landslides and ${\gamma}$ operator shows the better prediction power than the results using max and min operators from the validation procedure.
The development and utilization of underground spaces are increasing as the use of land based on ground surface became limited due to rapid urbanization triggered by population growth and industrialization. Despite its merit of efficient use of limited land and space, it may contribute to occurrence of various disasters such as sinkholes and damage to underground facilities. After the sinkholes formed and occurred across the country in 2014, there has been an effort to establish Underground Space Integration Map containing 15 types of underground information. Still, there is an increasing demand to improve the quality of underground information stemmed from continuation of such events including the rupture of the hot water pipe in Goyang-si and the fire in the KT site in Ahyeon-dong, Seoul. Hereby, with the aim to improve the quality of Underground Space Integration Map, this study analyzes quality standards, regulations, and guidelines related to spatial data to improve quality inspection standards and methods included in the production rules for the Underground Space Integration Map. In particular, it suggests improvement plan for data quality management for pipe-type underground facilities, known as lifelines, which are essential part of daily life of the citizens, and the largest cause for accidents according to 15 types of underground information managed through the Underground Space Integration Map.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the possibilities of architectural planning and expression of the relationship between structure and skin in contemporary architecture. For this purpose, we show interior space images -integration of structure and skin architecture- to students and experts of the related majors, and let them mark their feeling on the questionnaire composed spatial expression vocabulary extracted through the literature study on spatial sensibility, and analysis data. As a result, in contemporary architecture where the structure and the skin are integrated, form elements have a stronger influence on formation of space sense than elements of light and size, and aesthetics, characteristic, and temporality are common in the inner space, Three types of four types showed unique characteristics, and it was confirmed that there is a causal relationship between the spatial feeling factor and the spatial feeling. This means that the relationship between the structure and the skin can be considered as a planning factor, and this study is expected to be used as such basic data.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the characteristics of layout of Jinhae's educational facilities from the perspective of space syntactic changes since the era of Japanese Imperialism. The observations that we made in this research are summarized as the following three points. First, most of the educational facilities are located near the integrated space. Axes of roads near educational facilities display similar spatial patterns as those of entire Jinhae. Second, the level of local integration has been rising near the site of elementary schools for the past decades, and the level of local integration near middle and high schools recently began to rise around the new town. Third, the level of integration is strongly related with the levels of local integration, and the locations of educational facilities are also related with the level of local integration. It implies that the locations of educational facilities are determined not by Jinhae's overall street composition but by nearby road composition.
Landslides, as a geological hazard, have caused extensive damage to property and sometimes result in loss of life. Thus, it is necessary to assess vulnerable areas for future possible landslides in order to mitigate the damage they cause. For this purpose, spatial data integration has been developed and applied to landslide hazard mapping. Among various models, this paper investigates and discusses the effectiveness of the Bayesian spatial data integration approach to landslide hazard mapping. In this study, several data sets related to landslide occurrences in Jangheung, Korea were constructed using GIS and then digitally represented using the likelihood ratio function. By computing the likelihood ratio, we obtained quantitative relationships between input data and landslide occurrences. The likelihood ratio functions were combined using the Bayesian combination rule. In order for predicted results to provide meaningful interpretations with respect to future landslides, we carried out validation based on the spatial partitioning of the landslide distribution. As a result, the Bayesian approach based on a likelihood ratio function can effectively integrate various spatial data for landslide hazard mapping, and it is expected that some suggestions in this study will be helpful to further applications including integration and interpretation stages in order to obtain a decision-support layer.

This paper describes a design experience of a low-cost 6 DOF spatial tracker system where relative low accuracy and relatively long ranges, wireless communication will be achieved by means of low cost accelerometers and gyros with contemporary microprocessor. However, there are two key problems; one is the bias drift problem and the other is that single or double integration of acceleration signal suffers not only from noise but also from nonlinear effects caused by gravity. To be specific, beginning and stopping of hand motions needs to be accurately detected to initiate and terminate integration process to get position and pose of the hand from accelerometer and gyro signals, since errors due to noise and/or hand-shaking motions accumulated by integration processes. Several experimental results are shown to validate our proposed algorithms.

The Global Positioning System, GPS technology has been widely used in positioning and attitude determination. It is well known that the accuracy, availability and reliability of the positioning results are heavily dependent on the number and geometric distribution of tracked GPS satellites. Because of this limitation, in some situations, such as in urban canyons, underground space or inside of buildings, it is really hard to navigate with GPS receiver. Therefore, in order to improve the performance of satellite-based positioning, the integration of GPS with the pseudolite technology has been proposed. With this pseudolite technology, it is expected that seamless positioning service can be provided in wider area without replacing existing GPS receivers. On the other hand, to adopt pseudolites at larger scale, it is necessary to verify how the pseudolites can complement the existing GPS-based positioning. In this paper the authors present the detail of experimental investigations and the results of the fundamental verification for seamless positioning using integration of GPS and pseudolite. This paper shows that the accuracy and efficiency of integrating GPS and pseudolite through the dynamic and static positioning experiment and discuss about the influence on GPS receiver by pseudolite signal. The experimental results indicate that the accuracy of the height component can indeed be significantly improved, to approximately the same level as the horizontal component.
