Background: Although hyperspectral imaging was originally introduced for military, remote sensing, and astrophysics applications, the use of analytical hyperspectral imaging techniques has been expanded to include monitoring of agricultural crops and commodities due to the broad range and highly specific and sensitive spectral information that can be acquired. Combining hyperspectral imaging with remote sensing expands the range of targets that can be analyzed. Results: Hyperspectral imaging technology can rapidly provide data suitable for monitoring a wide range of plant conditions such as plant stress, nitrogen status, infections, maturity index, and weed discrimination very rapidly, and its use in remote sensing allows for fast spatial coverage. Conclusions: This paper reviews current research on and potential applications of hyperspectral imaging and remote sensing for outdoor field monitoring of agricultural crops. The instrumentation and the fundamental concepts and approaches of hyperspectral imaging and remote sensing for agriculture are presented, along with more recent developments in agricultural monitoring applications. Also discussed are the challenges and limitations of outdoor applications of hyperspectral imaging technology such as illumination conditions and variations due to leaf and plant orientation.

In this paper, we propose a cooperative vehicle communication scheme for high transmission efficiency and coverage extension under multipath fading environment of moving vehicle networks. The proposed scheme uses a Network coding scheme for improvement of receiving performance by using virtual Multiple-Input Multiple-Output(MIMO) transmit diversity. Simulation results have shown that the proposed scheme also provides alleviated Inter Symbol Interference(ISI) and Inter Channel Interference(ICI) as well as Signal-to-Noise Ratio(SNR) improvement and improve 3dB compared to the conventional scheme, since it can utilize the good properties of spatial diversity and coding gain by using virtual MIMO configuration. In this paper, we propose simulations of Ultra-Wideband(UWB) communication system to show validity by using the MATLAB.

Although various efforts have been made every year to reduce electric fire accidents such as accident analysis and inspection for electric fire accidents, there is no effective countermeasure due to lack of effective decision support system and existing cumulative data utilization method. The purpose of this study is to develop an algorithm for predicting electric fire based on data such as electric safety inspection data, electric fire accident information, building information, and weather information. Through the pre-processing of collected data for each institution such as Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, Meteorological Administration, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, Fire Defense Headquarters, convergence, analysis, modeling, and verification process, we derive the factors influencing electric fire and develop prediction models. The results showed insulation resistance value, humidity, wind speed, building deterioration(aging), floor space ratio, building coverage ratio and building use. The accuracy of prediction model using random forest algorithm was 74.7%.
The analysis of maritime traffic refers to the processes that are used to analyze the environmental characteristics of the target area and, based on this analysis, predict the traffic pattern of the vessels. In recent years, maritime traffic analysis has become significant with increase maritime traffic volume and expansion of VTS coverage area. In addition, maritime traffic analysis is also applicable in the safety assessment of port facilities and the VTS (Vessel Traffic Service). In this paper, we propose a method to analyze the vessels' traffic pattern by using the heat map and the centroid method. This method is efficient for the analysis of the vessel trajectory data where spatial characteristics change with time. In the experiments, the traffic density and centroid by time have were analyzed. Trajectory data collected at Mokpo harbor was adopted. Finally, we reviewed the experimental results to verify the feasibility of the proposed method as a maritime traffic analysis method.
The study of spiders that function as predators in agroecosystem can broaden the understanding of agroecosystems. This study investigated the effect of heterogeneity at different spatial scales on richness and abundance of spiders in upland and paddy fields. We collected 48 samples using pitfall traps at upland and paddy fields, respectively. The total species richness of spiders estimated by sample- and coverage-based rarefaction and extrapolation curves. The total species richness was high in the upland fields at the total study sites, whereas the average species richness per study site was high in the paddy fields. We confirmed that the diversity enhancement of spiders was influenced by the structural complexity of habitat at field-scale, and crop diversity at broader scale.
Because of the small number of spacecraft available in the Earth's magnetosphere at any given time, it is not possible to obtain direct measurements of the fundamental quantities, such as the magnetic field and plasma density, with a spatial coverage necessary for studying, global magnetospheric phenomena. In such cases, empirical as well as physics-based models are proven to be extremely valuable. This requires not only having high fidelity and high accuracy models, but also knowing the weakness and strength of such models. In this study, we assess the accuracy of the widely used Tsyganenko magnetic field models, T96, T01, and T04, by comparing the calculated magnetic field with the ones measured in-situ by the GOES satellites during geomagnetically disturbed times. We first set the baseline accuracy of the models from a data-model comparison during the intervals of geomagnetically quiet times. During quiet times, we find that all three models exhibit a systematic error of about 10% in the magnetic field magnitude, while the error in the field vector direction is on average less than 1%. We then assess the model accuracy by a data-model comparison during twelve geomagnetic storm events. We find that the errors in both the magnitude and the direction are well maintained at the quiet-time level throughout the storm phase, except during the main phase of the storms in which the largest error can reach 15% on average, and exceed well over 70% in the worst case. Interestingly, the largest error occurs not at the Dst minimum but 2-3 hours before the minimum. Finally, the T96 model has consistently underperformed compared to the other models, likely due to the lack of computation for the effects of ring current. However, the T96 and T01 models are accurate enough for most of the time except for highly disturbed periods.

Objectives: Access to maternal and neonatal care services (MNCS) is an important goal of health policy in developing countries. In this study, we proposed a 3-level hierarchical location-allocation model to maximize the coverage of MNCS providers in Iran. Methods: First, the necessary criteria for designing an MNCS network were explored. Birth data, including gestational age and birth weight, were collected from the data bank of the Iranian Maternal and Neonatal Network national registry based on 3 service levels (I, II, and III). Vehicular travel times between the points of demand and MNCS providers were considered. Alternative MNCS were mapped in some cities to reduce access difficulties. Results: It was found that 130, 121, and 86 MNCS providers were needed to respond to level I, II, and III demands, respectively, in 373 cities. Service level III was not available in 39 cities within the determined travel time, which led to an increased average travel time of 173 minutes to the nearest MNCS provider. Conclusions: This study revealed inequalities in the distribution of MNCS providers. Management of the distribution of MNCS providers can be used to enhance spatial access to health services and reduce the risk of neonatal mortality and morbidity. This method may provide a sustainable healthcare solution at the policy and decision-making level for regional, or even universal, healthcare networks.
In recent times, there has been a surge in media coverage regarding fraudulent real estate lease scams. These scams have been attributed to speculators who made imprudent gap investments, in response to the sudden decline in real estate prices. The government has established new measures to safeguard tenants and prevent fraudulent real estate lease schemes in response to the growing incidence of tenants falling victim to such scams. Although there have been active research efforts on laws and regulations aimed at protecting tenants, such as the Tenant Protection Act and leasehold registration orders, there is an urgent need for research on the consistency of information across public ledgers, as real estate fraud has surged due to information asymmetry among these ledgers. This study aims to explore matching methodologies using matching keys for building information from real estate-related public ledgers, such as the building register and the road name address ledger, as well as to examine ways to integrate these ledgers with other public ledgers.
