Design and Characteristics Analysis of the 78 kWe Grade Synchronous Generator for Disused Diesel Engines

  • This study dealt with the design process of the 78 kW permanent magnet synchronous generator for engines. After the calculation of the basic dimensions through a theoretical method in the process of initial model design, FEA (finite-element analysis) and a d,q-axis equivalent circuit were used to identify the generator characteristics depending on the number of poles. With the use of the space harmonic analysis method, the back-EMF (electromotive force) and THD were checked, and then the number of slots was determined. In addition, the most optimized generator dimensions were determined through a sizing optimization technique. Based on this, the optimum model with enhanced efficiency, material costs, and temperature characteristics was derived, and the availability of the design method was confirmed through a comparative analysis of the initial and optimum models.

도시근린공원의 적정조도모형 (Model on the Suitable Illuminance at Urban Neighborhood Park)

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the suitable illuminance model of an urban neighborhood park. To this end, 1 dependent variable and 11 independent variables were set, and multiple regression analysis was applied to find correlation between variables and the model. The results of this study are as follows; 1) Among 11 independent variables abstracted to study suitable illuminance model of an urban neighborhood park, as a result of analysis on correlation between suitable illuminance of a dependent variable and activity space by using dummy variables, activity type and illuminance by spaces the suitable illuminance required for an urban neighborhood park was much influenced by activity type, and the fact that the activity was not limited to a specific space. 2) As a result of multiple regression analysis, independent variables influencing the suitable illuminance model of an urban neighborhood park were activity space, illuminance by spaces, seated activity, standing activity, and sporting activity. And, for relative contribution of independent variables to suitable illuminance, activity with sporting showed an importance 22 times higher than seated activity. When the central square(Sp_1) of activity spaces was set to reference category using dummy variables, it showed a contribution 52 times higher than sorting space(Sp_7) and the central square as the most important variable. 3) It was analyzed that suitable illuminance of an urban neighborhood part was most influenced by sporting activity but the relative contribution of a sporting space where activity with sporting occurs was least in view of the function of the space. Very high illuminance is required to accept high activity, and if illuminance at a certain space becomes too high, it may influence the illuminance of other spaces, and may consequently have a negative effect on the suitable illuminance of an urban neighborhood park. The results of this study were mainly for teenagers and young adults in their twenties, so further concrete studies which consider gender and a wider age range are needed in the future. Based on subsequent study, suitable illuminance by spaces shall be suggested.

  • The STEP Cube Lab (Cube Laboratory for Space Technology Experimental Projects) is a 1U cube satellite developed by the Space Technology Synthesis Laboratory of Chosun University to be launched in 2015. Its mission objective is twofold: to determine which of the fundamental space technologies researched at domestic universities, will be potential candidates for use in future space missions and to verify the effectiveness of the technologies by investigating mission data obtained from on-orbit operation of the cube satellite. In this paper, a structural design concept based on the 1U standard to achieve the mission objective is introduced. The validity of the design has been demonstrated by quasi-static analysis and modal analysis. In addition, a non-explosive separation device triggered by burn wire heating, which is one of the main mission payloads is introduced.

초대형 부유식 구조물의 상부구조체에 대한 동적응답해석 (Dynamic Response Analysis of Superstructures on Very Large Floating Structures)

  • 전세계적인 인구증가와 산업화로 인하여 육지면적의 부족, 육상자원의 고갈 등의 문제로 해양의 이용 및 개발의 관심이 늘어나고 있으며, 환경친화적인 해양공간을 확보하기 위하여 초대형 부유식 해상구조물에 대한 기술개발이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 초대형 부유식 구조물의 상부구조물에 대한 시간이력해석법에 대하여 소개하고 파랑하중에 의한 부체변형을 이용한 시간변위이력 산정 방법을 제안한다. 또한 주기 및 진폭의 변화에 따른 상부구조물의 동적 시간이력응답 결과를 분석하고 초대형 부유식 상부구조물 시설계안의 동적구조안전성을 평가한다.

국내 공동주거 공간 이미지 요소로서의 아트월 패턴 연구 (Characteristics of Patterns on Art-Walls as an Imagery Element in Contemporary Living Spaces)

  • Art-Wall is the term for a surface wall representing artistic expression by using different materials or images in interior spaces. Usually this is the focal point in an interior space and sometimes it called as an image wall. In the new millenium Art-walls began to use in living spaces. While in the early stages of the development, Art-Wall was limited in a living room, in contemporary it spread into overall living spaces using various patterns and materials. Therefore, the research on Art-Walls in contemporary living spaces is essential to understand this development. The purpose of this study is to find out characteristics of patterns on Art-Walls as an imagery element in contemporary interior spaces. To analyze the characteristic, the analysis table for Art-Walls are constructed based on classifications of wallpapers and textiles. Based on this analysis table, 89 examples of Art-Walls from four major periodicals from 2008 to 2009 were examined. As a result of the analysis, in contemporary interior spaces solid-texture pattern is most frequently appeared. Then natural motifs are the next most popular using oversized or irregular layouts. The result shows that naturalistic expression is significant in interior space in 2008 to 2009. Therefore, Art-Walls that adapted diverse patterns are an essential element in contemporary interiors to represent the major concept of the space.

초기값을 갖는 비동질무한영역의 해석을 위한 비례경계무한요소법 (Infinite Element for the Scaled Boundary Analysis of Initial Valued on-Homogeneous Elastic Half Space)

  • 본 논문에서는 초기값을 갖는 비동질 반무한 평면문제를 비례경계유한요소법으로 해석하기 위하여 무한요소를 이 해석법에 도입하였다. 초기값을 갖는 반무한 평면의 자유면은 비례경계좌표계의 원주방향의 좌표를 이용하여 모델링하였고 무한요소는 이 자유면이 나타내는 무한한 영역을 모사하기 위해 사용되었다. 반무한 평면의 물성치(탄성계수)에 대한 초기값은 비례중심의 위치와 비례경계좌표계에서의 반지름 멱함수를 이용하여 나타내었다. 사상형 무한요소를 사용하여 일관된 정식화가 가능하였고, 제안된 해석법에 대한 적용성과 성능을 두 수치예제를 통하여 보였다.

이용자 로그데이터 기반 대학도서관 일반열람실 활용도 및 선호요인 분석 - J대학의 사례를 중심으로 - (Analysis of Utilization Status and Preference Factors of Reading Room in University Library based on User Log Data: Focusing on the Case of "J" University)

  • 도서관 공간 중 일반열람실의 당초 목적은 이용자가 도서관 장서를 자유롭게 열람·이용할 수 있는 공간을 제공하는데 있었으나 현실적으로는 개인 학습 공간으로의 활용이 많아짐에 따라 이에 대한 재고 논의가 일고 있다. 특히 대학의 경우 도서관을 구성하는 다양한 공간 중 주로 학생들의 학습 활동을 지원하기 위해 존재하는 일반열람실의 비중이 큰 편으로, 본 연구의 목적은 대학도서관 내 일반열람실의 활용 현황을 분석하고, 열람실별 공간적 특성에 따른 선호요인을 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 국립 J대학교를 선정, 지난 1년간 다양한 규모의 일반열람실을 실제 이용한 로그데이터를 수집하여 분석하였다. 총 40,753명의 이용자로부터 수집된 218,939건의 데이터를 바탕으로 기간별, 공간별 이용 패턴을 분석하였다. 이를 통해 일반열람실 선호도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 도출하였으며 나아가 공간 활용도 제고를 위한 고려사항을 제시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 대학도서관 일반열람실의 공간 배치 및 공간 활용도 향상을 위해 이용될 수 있을 것이다.

A Fixed Point Approach to the Stability of Quadratic Equations in Quasi Normed Spaces

  • We use the fixed alternative theorem to establish Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of the quadratic functional equation where functions map a linear space into a complete quasi p-normed space. Moreover, we will show that the continuity behavior of an approximately quadratic mapping, which is controlled by a suitable continuous function, implies the continuity of a unique quadratic function, which is a good approximation to the mapping. We also give a few applications of our results in some special cases.

  • A semilocal convergence analysis is provided for Newton's method in a Banach space. The inverses of the operators involved are only locally $H{\ddot{o}}lderian$. We make use of a point-based approximation and center-$H{\ddot{o}}lderian$ hypotheses for the inverses of the operators involved. Such an approach can be used to approximate solutions of equations involving nonsmooth operators.
