Many available online product reviews for any given product makes it difficult for a consumer to locate the helpful reviews. The purpose of this study was to investigate automatic helpfulness evaluation of online product reviews according to review information types based on the target of information. The underlying assumption was that consumers find reviews containing specific information related to the product itself or the reliability of reviewers more helpful than peripheral information, such as shipping or customer service. Therefore, each sentence was categorized by given information types, which reduced the semantic space of review sentences. Subsequently, we extracted specific information from sentences by using a topic-based representation of the sentences and a clustering algorithm. Review ranking experiments indicated more effective results than other comparable approaches.

In this paper, an error-resilient image compression technique using wavelet transform is proposed. The zerotree technique that uses properties of statistics, energy and directions of wavelet coefficients in the space-frequency domain shows effective compression results. Since it is highly sensitive to the propagation of channel errors, evena single bit error degrades the whole image quality severely. In the proposed algorithm, the image is encoded by the SPIHT(Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees) algorithm using the zerotree coding technique. Encoded bitstreams are partitioned into some blocks using the subband correlations and then fixed-length blocks are made by using the effective bit reorganization algorithm. finally, an effective bit allocation technique is used to limit error propagation in each block. Therefore, in low BER the proposed algorithm shows similar compression performance to the zerotree compression technique and in high BER it shows better performance in terms of PSNR than the conventional methods.
This qualitative research was designed to explore the use of housing among Korean Chinese people in Harbin, China. Focusing on the use which based on the epistemology of housing adjustment, this was particularly designed to examine its cultural assimilation and acculturation on the way of life course, it employed the in-depth interview on the oral history of 5 interviewees in their 60s and 70s, individualized interviews were conducted from May 28 to 31 in 2010. Key findings were summarized as follows; 1. The free market reform in China resulted in privatization that allowed respondents to become homeowners, and the ownership was viewed as part of family asset centered upon a sense of solidarity. 2. Although homeowners in multi-story houses were responsible to decorate interior spaces, the common features in using interior spaces were found: entrance had no thresholds; kitchen was small, lack of storage cabinets, tile-flooring; washers were installed inside bathroom; and newly built apartment didn't have proper space to store Korean fermented foods. It was observed that housing adaptation outweighed housing adjustment. Those who used to live in Chinese houses with indoor-wearing-shoes or Russian houses with indoor-wearing-slippers were receptive to the use of dining table and bed, and the community heating system discouraged the use of individual electric water heater because of high electricity cost. 3. In daily life, eating habit wasn't much changed to the Chinese style, meals were shared, dish sterilizer was popular, and Kimchi fridge wasn't used. Because of the influence of the Chinese culture, such Korean traditions as ancestral rites and bedroom allocation tradition faded away, but traditional family values remained unchanged. In conclusion, Korean Chinese people experience normative housing deficits and adaptation selectively incurred. It's implied that residential design meets the needs resulting from the dual culture in terms of cultural assimilation and acculturation.

In the city of Asia like Seoul and Tokyo, aggregate power is poured into the city making which is suitable in new age. Large-scale re-development is active in various places as the present condition, As for the various East Asian cities, high-level utilization conversion of the land and high conversion of the building are advanced. As for these realities, the re-development is advanced in the situation that has not been clarified enough though it is true that green of the city has decreased. This research was aimed at the clarifying the allocation of greenery when proceeding with town planning projects by quantifying the possibility of allocating greenery in the form of rooftop landscaping in redeveloped areas. Moreover, the distribution of the green in the re-development region was calculated and the coexistence level of green space was calculated, The realities of a desirable green were clarified in the spectacle by understanding a sight and spatial continuousness in the green. In order to clarify the potentiality of roof greenery revaluating, the research was conducted by analyzing from aerial photographs, in Tokyo and Seoul, And the flow of the research was conducted by selection of research object area, taking pictures, acquisition of the aerial photography, rearrangement the data and the analysis. As a result, I was able to prepare a land vegetation coverage classification chart and obtain data pertaining to the level of urban and green tract of land for the researched cities of Tokyo and Seoul. By analyzing this data, we were able to indicate patterns of greenery unable to be obtained through data from ratio of vegetation coverage and ascertain the effectiveness of rooftop landscaping.
The purpose of this study is to suggest the rural village model which is able to be applied to the rural village (re)development. The rural village model consists of five sector models land use model, residential unit model, public facilities allocation model, productive space arrangement model, road & green system model. The village model as a spatial structure needs modification/revision through the its application to various sites. The following are suggestions developed in the process of preparing a model for the Korean rural village. First, some indices presented in the land use model need to be further studied as the planning indices before implementing the rural village projects. Second, it is recomended that the image of a rural village needs to be created by developing the residential unit(6 households) as a planning development unit, And various residential unit models need to be suggested. Third, it is desirable to develop the double circulation system and green edge(1 m), and to introduce pedestrian road as much as possible for the amenity of the residential environment, Fourth, being located within walking distance from the existing village, new-introduced site should be developed as a interlinked and opened structure. The rural village model is useful in preparing the spatial structure for the village (re)development, and in finding the best design solution responsive to the conditions of a project site.
This study aims at suggesting an alternative to improve flood controling capacity according to the cument design criteria for the existing Soyanggang Multi-purpose Dam which was constructed 20 years ago as the largest dam in Korea. The peak inflow of the adopted probable maximum flood (PMF) at the time of construction was 13,500 $m^3$/s. However, the newly estimated peak inflow of the PMF is 18,000 $m^3$/s which is 1.34 times bigger than the original one. This is considered to be due to the accumulation of the reliable flood and storm event records after construction, and due to the increasing tendency of the local flood peaks according to the influence of world-wide weather change. The new estimation of the probable maximum precipitation (PMP) was based on the hydro-meteorological method suggested by the guideline of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The unit hydrograph which was applied for the estimation of PMF was derived through linear programming algorithm by minimizing the sum of absolute deviations of the calculated and recorded flood hydrographs. In order to adopt the newly estimated PMF as a design flood, following four alternatives were compared : (1) allocation of more flood control space by lowering the normal high water level, (2) construction of a new spillway in addition to the existing spillway, (3) construction of a new dam which has relevant flood control storage at the upstream of the Soyanggang dam, (4) raising the existing dam crest. The preliminary evaluation of these alternatives resulted in that the second alternative is most economic and feasible. So as to stably cope with the newly estimated PMF by meeting all the current functions of the multipurpose dam, a detailed study of an additional spillway tunnel has to be followed.
WRC-03 was held between 9 June and 4 July 2003 in Geneva, Switzerland. Over 2,200 delegates from 138 ITU Member States attended the Conference. The delegates considered some 2,500 proposals, and over 900 numbered documents related to 50 agenda items. The final output of the Conference consists of 527 pages of new and revised text of the Radio Regulations. This paper provides some details about the outcome of the radio astronomy related issues at the WRC-03 Conference. It is divided into two part: a) Agenda item1.8.2 and b) Agenda item 1.32, related to radio astronomy. Relevant extracts from the Final Acts of WRC-03 are given in the Appendix. Agenda item 1.8.2 was one of the most controversial Agenda Items at WRC-03. Studies were carried out within ITU-R TG 1/7 for the last three years; the results of these studies are summarized in Recommendation ITU-R SM.1633. The Conference adopted a new footnote (5.347A), that calls for the application of Resolution 739 (WRC-03) in the 1452-1492 MHz, 1525-1559 MHz, 1613.8-1626.5 MHz, 2655-2670 MHz, 2670-2690 MHz and 21.4-22.0 GHz bands. Agenda item 1.32 is to consider technical and reglatory provisions concerning the band 37.5-43.5 GHz, in accordance with Resolutions 128 (Rev.WRC-2000) and 84 (WRC-2000). WRC-03 reviewed and adjusted the New footnotes 5.551H and 5.551I cover the protection of radio astronomy observations in the 42.5-43.5 GHz band from unwanted emissions by non-geostationary (5.551H) and geostationary (5.551I) FSS and BSS systems, respectively.

The stability guarantee of wireless network based control systems is still challenging due to the lossy links and node failures. This paper proposes a hierarchical cluster-based network protocol called robust wireless sensor and actuator network (R-WSAN) by combining time, channel, and space resource diversity. R-WSAN includes a scheduling algorithm to support the network resource allocation and a control task sharing scheme to maintain the control stability of multiple plants. R-WSAN was implemented on a real test-bed using Zolertia RE-Mote embedded hardware platform running the Contiki-NG operating system. Our experimental results demonstrate that R-WSAN provides highly reliable and robust performance against lossy links and node failures. Furthermore, the proposed scheduling algorithm and the task sharing scheme meet the stability requirement of control systems, even if the controller fails to support the control task.
The purpose of this study was to explore research topics and examine the trend in COVID19 related research papers. We identified eight topics using latent Dirichlet allocation and found acceptable validity in comparison with the structural topic model. The subtopics have been extracted using k-means clustering and plotted in PCA space. Additionally, we discovered the topics bearing negative tones and warning signs by sentiment analysis. The results flagged up the issues of the topics, Biomedical Related, International Dynamics and Psychological Impact. The findings could serve as a guideline for researchers who explore new research directions and policymakers who need to make decisions about which research projects to support.

Digital marketing tools are actively used in managing the development of park and recreation complexes to familiarize the population with the objects of natural heritage. This article aims to empirically evaluate digital marketing tools for popularizing the park and recreational complexes. The methodology was based on the concept of ecosystem value of park and recreation complexes as a natural heritage site. These methods included: identifying and selecting websites with information about park and recreation complexes in Slovakia and Ukraine. structural analysis of the main channels of online details about natural parks. Assessing the current state of online identity of the studied sites from the perspective of Internet users. The results indicate that to manage the development of park and recreational complexes developed their driven official websites in the Internet space, on which sections structure the information with the allocation of data on tourism and recreational potential. The article identifies additional digital marketing tools for managing the development of park and recreation complexes, particularly social networks and tourist websites. There is a sufficient amount of information about tourist recreation sites within these natural parks and tourist routes. Among the main problems of the websites: the information on the websites is entirely textual, there is a lack of sufficient data on social networks, despite the created official pages, there is no video content, which was more attracted tourists and visitors, allowing a visual assessment of the tourist potential; there is a problem of many communication channels to present the natural heritage of the countries. The research proves that the website is the primary and most common digital marketing tool for natural heritage, structuring information about tourism potential and recreation.
