In [5] it was shown that if T .mem. L(X) is regular on a Banach space X, with finite dimensional intersection T$^{-1}$ (0).cap.T(X) and if S .mem. L(X) is invertible, commute with T and has sufficiently small norm then T - S in upper semi-Fredholm, and hence essentially one-one, in the sense that the null space of T - S is finite dimensional ([4] Theorem 2; [5] Theorem 2). In this note we extend this result to incomplete normed space.

In the paper [12] we have introduced the new kind of pseudo-einstein ruled real hypersurfaces in complex space forms $M_n(c), c\neq0$, which are foliated by pseudo-Einstein leaves. The purpose of this paper is to give a geometric condition for non-proper pseudo-Einstein ruled real hypersurfaces to be totally geodesic in the sense of Kimura [8] for c> and Ahn, Lee and the present author [1] for c<0.

Recent advancement in information technology requires new interpretations for the space among human, machines and environment. Investigation of space between information and human could lead to the proper ways, in which human and machines meet. Various concepts regarding space have been explored in terms of “virtual reality in cyberspace” and “embodiment in tangible space.” “Mom (embodiment),” space, virtuality, sensation/perception, and interactive technology are some of the key ideas to be explored. Human “Mom” is such a fundamental membrane through which human can interact with the environment physically and mentally. An embodied interaction paradigm, based on “Mom,” is investigated. This leads to interactive technology paradigm. Sound space is an invisible but a tangible space in a sense that it travels in emotional tremors and stimulates new sensations and perceptions. Three cases are introduced to experiment such tangible space as a new and proper interactive paradigm. Also, a historical model of interaction is reviewed, which includes electrical, symbolic, textual, graphical, tangible, and social interaction.

We give general fixed point theorems for compact multimaps in the "better" admissible class $B^{K}$ defined on admissible convex subsets (in the sense of Klee) of a topological vector space not necessarily locally convex. Those theorems are used to obtain results for $\Phi$-condensing maps. Our new theorems subsume more than seventy known or possible particular forms, and generalize them in terms of the involving spaces and the multimaps as well. Further topics closely related to our new theorems are discussed and some related problems are given in the last section.n.

From being understood as a dwelling, the concept of home is extended to denote belongingness and a sense of attachment in which spiritual, ethnic, religious and historical identities shape a sense of self. Hence, home with its expanded definitions is considered as a cross-cutting and fundamental theme in works by Võ Phiến, one of the diaspora's towering minds who devoted his life to capturing the rich details of Vietnamese culture, its villages and locals. This article pays attention to the cultural space created through Võ Phiến's tuỳ bút written when he lived in Saigon and California. Many representations of home were argued as evidence of subtle influences of the historical and social context on the way Võ Phiến perceived and built his own homeland. By observing disruption and continuity through the expressions of the home in Võ Phiến's writing, we shed light on how Võ Phiến managed to create an indigenous cultural space towards social interactions of Western ideology in South Vietnam from 1964 to 1975.

Bad weather conditions such as haze lead to a significant lack of visibility in images, which can affect the functioning and reliability of image processing systems. Accordingly, various single-image dehazing (SID) methods have recently been proposed. Existing SID methods have introduced effective visibility improvement algorithms, but they do not reflect the image's perspective, and thus have limitations that distort the sky area and nearby objects. This study proposes a new SID method that reflects the sense of space by defining the correlation between image brightness and haze. The proposed method defines the haze intensity by calculating the airlight brightness deviation and sets the weight factor of the depth map by classifying images based on the defined haze intensity into images with a large sense of space, images with high intensity, and general images. Consequently, it emphasizes the contrast of nearby images where haze is present and naturally smooths the sky region to preserve the image's perspective.

This paper proposes a noun sense disambiguation method based-on corpus and conceptual information. Previous research has restricted the use of linguistic knowledge to the lexical level. Since knowledge extracted from corpus is stored in words themselves, the methods requires a large amount of space for the knowledge with low recall rate. On the contrary, we resolve noun sense ambiguity by using concept co-occurrence information extracted from an automatically sense-tagged corpus. In one experimental evaluation it achieved, on average, a precision of 82.4%, which is an improvement of the baseline by 14.6%. considering that the test corpus is completely irrelevant to the learning corpus, this is a promising result.

In 1994, Songbuk-gu Office of Seoul held a design competition for Miarigogae-Park, Miarigogae has a special sense of place. It was a place where bararians had crossed the boundary to this country during the Manchu war of 1636. It was a public cemetery where only Koreans had been buried under the rule of Japanese imperialism. It was a place where national patriots had been kidnapped to the North during the Korean War. It's sorrows have been sung in the name of song-'Danjangeui-Miarigogae'(one of the most popular song in Korea). It's sense of place has been kept in every Korean people's mind in the form on 'non-physical image'. Even though, the site itself was a small space - only 1000㎡, the meaning of park-making was very significant. It meant that it would create a physical 'setting' to express the sense of place which has been existed only in our mind as a form of 'non-physical image'. In the winning scheme proposed by the author, the sense of place of Miarigogae was expressed in the form of 'castle walls' which could be easily come into everyone's mind as an image of war. The scope of work also included a crossing bridge and symbolic features. It was meaningful that a landscape architect won the competition including on those items which were not usually handled in pure landscape architectural offices. The purpose of this paper was to articulate the concept of the winning entry in detail and to describe how the concept actualized in reality.

In recent years, word embedding has been a popular field of natural language processing research and a skip-gram has become one successful word embedding method. It assigns a word embedding vector to each word using contexts, which provides an effective way to analyze text data. However, due to the limitation of vector space model, primary word embedding methods assume that every word only have a single meaning. As one faces multi-sense words, that is, words with more than one meaning, in reality, Neelakantan (2014) proposed a multi-sense skip-gram (MSSG) to find embedding vectors corresponding to the each senses of a multi-sense word using a clustering method. In this paper, we propose a modified method of the MSSG to improve statistical accuracy. Moreover, we propose a data-adaptive choice of the number of clusters, that is, the number of meanings for a multi-sense word. Some numerical evidence is given by conducting real data-based simulations.
