도로변 방음 수림대 유형별 시뮬레이션 모형개발 및 평가 (Model Development and Appraisal by Visual Simulation about Soundproof Grove Types of Street Side)

  • Because of increasing numbers of cars many highways are being constructed lively, and the noise of passing cars has influenced surrounding areas. In consideration of this, some alternatives and researches for soundproof facilities are proceeding, but aesthetic approach hasn't been considered. Therefore, this research is focused on soundproof effects for each types, effectual simulation methods, visual assessment and estimation between the landscape before simulation and the landscape after. Soundproof facilities are divided largely by the soundproof barrier, the soundproof mounding, the soundproof grove. The soundproof grove has three main function. First, leaves and branches absorbs sound vibrations. Second, leaves absorbs sound, and branches obstruct sounds. Third, by means of sounds of shaking leaves, forest can offset noises. This research was proceeded by means of classification of soundproof grove types and investigation of visual simulation methods. We made visual simulation for each types, and estimated the landscape for each types.

  • The major advantage of transparent materials over traditional materials in noise barriers is aesthetics. The transparent panel materials such as clear plastic or glass are an ideal way of reducing or virtually eliminating the visual impact of a noise barrier. With the use of transparent materials, the drivers' view of the roadside and the sunlight penetration to the highway would not be blocked. With the use of transparent materials, the highway and barrier appear less imposing. Korean Industrial Standards for soundproof panels have been established. But, transparent soundproof panels are not included in this standards. And, some specifications provide only a few basic characteristics for transparent soundproof panels. To develop guidelines on quality criteria for transparent soundproof panel, their mechanical properties such as wind load resistance, safety under impact, and abrasion resistance were experimentally investigated.

공동주택의 층별 도로교통 소음의 전달 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Floor-Specific Characteristics of Road Traffic Noise in Apartment Buildings)

  • This study is an attempt to understand the floor-specific characteristics of facade road traffic noise in apartment buildings. For this purpose, it sampled a total of seven roadside apartment building complexes: three with no soundproof bar barrier installed at roadside, one with a forest buffer zone, one with a sound-absorbing hill, and two with soundproof barriers. The measured noise level was highest on the 5th floor of apartment buildings with no soundproof barrier, and the upper stories from the 5th floor showed lower-noise measurements in order. For apartment buildings with soundproof barriers, however, the noise level was lower on the 10th floor than the 5th floor. Two apartment building groups--one with a sound-absorbing hill and the other with no soundproof barrier--showed similar measurement results in the floor-specific characteristics of facade road traffic noise. This suggests that such installations have little sound insulation effect. In the apartment building complex with a forest buffer zone around it, a slight sound insulation effect was measured on the lower floors of the buildings.

고속열차(TGV) 주행시 연변에서의 소음예측 및 방음시설설계 (Noise Prediction and Design of Soundproof Facilities for the High Speed Train)

  • This paper sums up the study of the soundproof facilities (noise barriers) to be placed on the test track section within the Seoul-Pusan H.S.T. project. The objective of this study is to determine optimum design of soundproof including height, length, location, sound absorbing materials for test track(chonan-taejon). This paper shows the model to design the shape and materials of noise barrier for high speed trains(TGV, ICE, ect). The design of soundproof facilities is to be conducted by MITHRA for the prediction of noise impact of the TGV and for optimising noise barriers in order to reduce the noise generated by high speed trains. A number of computer simulations are carried out in order to determine the specification of noise barrier on test track.

  • The soundproof barrier used to reduce the traffic and rail noise is usually designed to the point of view of the acoustic performance such as absorption ratio and transmission loss. But, because the surface of soundproof barrier is polluted by the air pollutant or discharge gas of automobiles, so it's surface cleary maintained by the periodic washing with detergent. But in this case the environmental pollution and the working expenses are worried. So, the objective of this study is to develope the soundproof panel with the self-cleaning properties only by raining.

  • Transparent noise barrier panels have the advantages of transmitting light to nearby residents and allowing drivers to orientate themselves by providing views of the surrounding area. To develop guidelines on quality criteria for transparent soundproof panels, their sound transmission loss and weatherability were experimentally investigated. In Korea, the sound transmission loss of noise barrier panels should be more than 25 dB at 500 Hz and 30 dB at 1000 Hz. The transmission loss tests of transparent panels were performed in accordance with KS F 2808. Typically, plastic materials suffer from color changes when exposed to ultraviolet(UV) light over extended periods. Therefore, weathering of plastics is one of the most important properties for outdoor applications. Protection against UV radiation and weathering is usually accomplished by using UV stabilizer additives or coatings. Transparent materials for soundproof panels were examined through accelerated weathering tests and their weathering resistances were evaluated from changes in yellowness index.

  • This paper sums up the study of the soundproof facilities to be placed on the test track section within the Seoul-Pusan H.S.T project. 고속도로 방음벽 유지관리를 위한 방음벽 노후도 평가 방안 (Deterioration Evaluation Method of Noise Barriers for Managements of Highway)

  • 본 연구에서는 고속도로 방음벽을 대상으로 방음벽의 손상유형 분류 및 손상등급 체계를 마련하고 이를 반영한 방음벽 노후도 평가기법 개발을 목표로 하였다. 방음벽이 방음판, 기초, 지주로 구성되어 있고 10종의 다양한 재질이 활용되고 있는 방음판은 단일 또는 혼합형으로 사용되고 있으며, 방음판의 손상은 단일 또는 복합적인 손상을 나타내는 특징을 나타내고 있어 이러한 방음벽의 특징을 반영할 수 있는 방음벽 노후도 평가모델을 개발하고자 하였다. 방음벽에 주로 사용되고 있는 재질을 금속재, 플라스틱재, 목재, 투명재, 콘크리트재의 재질유형으로 나누고 또한, 각 재질별 손상유형을 부식, 변색, 변형, 깨짐, 탈리로 분류하여 방음벽의 손상유형을 방음벽 구성부재와 재질에 따라 세분화하였다. 방음벽 주요부위별로 각 손상유형별 손상등급을 양호, 경미, 보통, 심함으로 구분하여 방음판, 지주, 기초의 손상등급을 평가, 이를 바탕으로 부위별 노후도를 평가하여 가중평균을 통한 방음벽 전체의 노후도를 평가하는 방식을 통해서 종합적인 방음벽 노후화 정도를 평가하였다. 단일형 또는 혼합형 방음판을 사용하는 방음벽의 노후도 평가는 물론, 손상유형이 단일형 뿐만 아니라 복합형으로 나타나는 방음벽에 대해서도 체계적인 평가가 가능한 노후도 평가 기법을 개발하였으며, 이러한 평가시스템을 통하여, 현재 설치되어 있는 방음시설의 노후화 현황을 체계적으로 파악함은 물론, 이를 토대로 방음벽의 보수 및 개량을 위한 효율적인 유지관리 계획 및 시행에 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

방음시설의 소음저감효과에 관한 연구 (Reducing Effect of Traffic Noise Soundproof Facilities)

  • In order to propose the design and installation information of vegetation belt, field investigation were carried out in the noise pollution control facilities of highway and the streets of a city for two years(1998~1999), and field tests were performed to analyze the noise attenuation effect of them. The noise pollution control facilities were generally classified into three types (noise barrier and vegetation belt type, mounding and vegetation belt type, vegetation belt type only). Most soundproof facilities were proved the noise reduction effects. But according to width, height, structure, auditory distance and planting forms of them, difference of noise reduction effects were investigated. The soundproof facility was suitable the mounding and vegetation belt type in the consideration of road environment, and the installation standard of vegetation was estimated that the width of vegetation was at least 20m and the length of that was 2 times in the distance from noise source.
