Perovskite type oxides of $SrTiO_3,SrZrO_3,and\;SrTi_{1-x}Zr_xO_3$ have been systematically synthesized at $1250^{\circ}C$and $1550^{\circ}C$ with specimens containing additions of up to x=0.9 of zirconium by solid state reactions and characterized by X-ray diffraction. X-ray diffraction studies showed that the compound $SrTi_{1-x}Zr_xO_3$ has cubic structure. The lattice paramters of $SrTi_{1-x}Zr_xO_3$ solid solutions obey the Vegard's law and fairly large increase in volume can acompany the formation of this solution with increasing Zr content(X). Assuming the lattice constants of perovskite type compounds $A(B_{1-x}B'_x)O_3$where $B_{1-x}B'_x$ is $Ti_{1-x}Zr_x$, to be a linear function of the ionic radii of B and B' ions, the disordered ion pair of $Ti^{4+}$and $Zr^{4+}$ was verified from the lattice constants of a series compounds varying x=0,0.05, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 0.9, and 1.0 with known isovalent pairs.

Pulmonary carcinosarcon!as are rare malignant tumors consisting of an admixture of epithelial and mas- enchymal elements of the type ordinarily seen in malignancies of adults. Compared with all pulmonary neoplasms it occurs with a frequency of 0.3% and has a strong association with smoking. Carcinosarcomas be divided into two clinicopathologic groups based on the locution of the lung: a solid parenchymal type and a central or endobronchial lesion Noninvasive diagnostic tests have a rather low yield in detecting carcinosarcoma. The most frequent metastatic sites are hilar and mediastinal Lymph nodes. Surgical resection is both diagnostic and the initial treatment. The prognosis is poor and average postoperative survival is 9 months. We report one case of pulmonary carcinosarcoma demonstrated by immunohlstochemical staining in a 61 year old male patient with a review of literatures.

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of heating, fiber type used in solid-phase microextraction (SPME, two phase vs three phase) and storage time on the volatile compounds of porcine M. longissimus dorsi (LD). Volatile compounds were measured using a gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC/MS) with a quadrupole mass analyzer. Among the volatile compounds identified, aldehydes (49.33%), alcohols (24.63%) and ketones (9.85%) were higher in pre-heated loins ($100^{\circ}C$/30 min), whereas, alcohols (34.33%), hydrocarbons (22.84%) and ketones (16.88%) were higher in non-heated loins. Heating of loins induced the formation of various volatile compounds such as aldehydes (hexanal) and alcohols. The total contents of hydrocarbons, alcohols, and carboxylic acids were higher in two phase fibers, whereas those of esters tended to be higher in three-phase fibers (p<0.05). Most volatile compounds increased (p<0.05) with increased storage time. Thus, the analysis of volatile compounds were affected by the fiber type, while heating and refrigerated storage of pork M. longissimus dorsi increased the volatile compounds derived from lipid oxidation and amino acid catabolism, respectively.

According to KS F 2560, water-reducing agents used when mixing concrete are to undergo quality evaluation testing slump, air contents, setting time, etc., when delivered from the admixture factory to the ready mixed concrete site. Yet in actual acceptance testing this could be substituted by the score report of the admixture company, in which a possibility of low reliability lies. Therefore this study sought to analyze whether by artificially changing the solid content rate of lignin- and naphthalene-based water-reducing agents and using a liquid densimeter evaluate the quality of the admixture. The results showed that the Type B liquid densimeter was most appropriate and 50cc the most appropriate capacity for the mass cylinder. Also, judging from the changes in density and pH according to the changes in solid content rate, it concludes that a rapid appraisal of the quality of lignin- and naphthalene-based water-reducing agents would be possible using a Type B liquid densimeter.

The purpose of this study is to examine actual design cases of decorative detail in the Art Nouveau style from the end of 19th century to the beginning of 20th century, and create designs and fashion works to meet our contemporary fashion trends by means of over-decorative style, a characteristic of decorative detail. The characteristics of decorative detail in the Art Nouveau style can be outlined as follows: First, pleats appear with two major feels of solidity, undulated and curvilinear solidity based on gather(ruffle, frill/ flare and flounce) and regular and linear solidity based on linear pleats or tucks. Second, embroidery appears in various patterns developed with stitch of solid feel as well as a variety of coloration effects. Third, attachments are expressed by means of independent motif(applique, gloss effects(beads, sequins), affluent texture and mobility(fur, feather). Moreover, according to technical characteristics and expressive aspects of pleats, embroidery and attachments, it is found that decoration detail in the era of Art Nouveau is over-decoration style. Indeed, it appears in major expressive aspects such as rhythmical solid type, detailed prominence type, superficial touch type and profound volume type.

The changes of pectic substances during baking at $175{\sim}180^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes and polygalacturonase activities of three sweet potato cultivars on textural properties were investigated. The three different types of sweet potato cultivars were the dry type (Wonki), the intermediate type (Shinmi), and the moist type (Chunmi). The moisture content, alcohol insoluble solid content, composition of pectic substances and hardness were determined before and after baking. It was found that HCl-soluble pectin was significantly changed into water soluble and sodium hexametaphosphate soluble pectin by baking. The dry type, Wonki showed the lowest moisture content, but the highest alcohol insoluble solid content and hardness. Wonki, whose polygalacturonase activity was the highest, had the highest HCl-soluble pectin content after backing.

An inner flow of a porous cylinder with partial slots was visualized to study fluidic phenomena in a solid rocket motor. A high-pressure chamber and an air supply system for high flow rate were used. In order to visualize the inner flow, the smoke generator with a cam-driven pump and heaters and high speed camera were adopted. The results of the cylinder type and the partial slot type were compared. As a result, the injected smoke flow in the partial slot type had circumferential fluctuations unlike the cylinder type. It was found that the circumferential flow induced from the partial slots could be the cause of combustion instability and roll torque.

In this study, we tried to figure out how phenol effects on cancer prevention, and for this purpose we focused on phenol effects on TBARS and the relationship between TBARS(thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances) and cancer. A protocol using a nutritionally adequate amino acid-based diet and a transgenic mouse model of neurofibromatosis was used to evaluate the effect of dietary phenols on body tissue oxidation and tumor onset. The mice carry the human T-lymphotropic virus type-1 transactivator(texl) gene and spontaneously develop externally visible tumors. Twenty-five male transgenic mice were systematically assigned into five groups, control group, 2 mmol, 4 mmol, 8 mmol catechin/kg diet groups and wine solid group. Mice in control group were without catechin, Mice in wine solid group received red wine 750 mL/kg diet, Mice were examined daily, and the age at which a first tumor appeared was recorded. Transgenic mice consuming catechin and wine solid were older when a first tumor appeared. No tumor was found in one mouse of 4 mmol catechin/kg diet and one mouse of 8 mmol catechin diet group. Levels of TBARS in brain and spleen of 8 mmol catechin group and wine solid group were significantly decreased as compared to the same tissue in control group. TBARS levels in tissues were significantly correlated with tumor onset. Results from this study suggest that dietary phenol effects on cancer prevention through tissue antioxidation in spite of different kinds of phenols.

During the high speed train operation in the conventional line, it was found to have extremely severe flange wear, due to the curvy routes. This paper looks at the actions that have been taken to bring the wear to an acceptable level. In particular, it have been presented for flange wear variation depending on curve radius, cant, transition curve length by using numerical method. And the impacts on the flange wear by the application of stick type solid lubricant are also presented.
