The rank over a finite field of the adjacency matrix of a directed strongly regular graph is studied, with some applications to the construction of linear codes. Three techniques are used: code orthogonality, adjacency matrix determinant, and adjacency matrix spectrum.

In this study, I have tested the effects of the agents and dyeing conditions on the Brazil-wood dyestuff as one plant dyestuffs. According to the tests, I have fount that color differenciation depending opon the agents and procedual condtitions. As the agents, Alm induced redness and light yellowness by Aluminum Acetate, dark greenness or blueness by Ferrous chloride, dark redness by Stannous Chloride, dark grenness or blueness by Copperous Chloride, light yellowness or greenness by Calcium Dihydroxide. On the other hand, color-fastness differed from various mordant agents. The color-fastnes was solid using multiple agents than sole agent.

ECG consists of various waveforms of electric signals of heat. Datamining can be used for analyzing and classifying the waveforms. Conventional studies classifying electrocardiogram have problems like extraction of distorted characteristics, overfitting, etc. This study classifies electrocardiograms by using BP algorithm and SVM to solve the problems. As results, this study finds that SVM provides an effective prohibition of overfitting in neural networks and guarantees a sole global solution, showing excellence in generalization performance.

Two pilumnid species, Echinoecus nipponicus and Zehntneriana amakusae, are described and illustrated from Jejudo Island, southern Korea. These species are recorded for the first time in Korea, and Z. amakusae is the sole representative of the subfamily Rhizopinae of the family Pilumnidae.

This paper investigates the U.S. courts'attitudes toward the legal doctrine of adhesion contracts, which have been employed as contract defenses by individual consumers who have entered into consumer arbitration agreements with businesses. Some requirements have been added to the sole adhesiveness of the arbitration clause that can invalidate the arbitration clause, including unconscionability and unreasonable harshness. It seems that the U.S. courts have moved toward a more tightened stance in evaluating the validity of consumer arbitration clauses, favoring consumer arbitration.

Bacterium strain, K-173-10, which was isolated from waste soil of Korean brewing factories, could grow on acetate as the sole carbone source and accumulate a considerable amount of L-glutamic acid (24g/l) in the liguid culture medium. This strain was named by Brevibacterium ammoniagenes sp. by the standard method of taxonomy procedures given in the Manual of Microbiogical Methods.

A thermotolerant bacterium, designated as PHS1, was isolated from a hot spring in Pohang, Korea, on the basis of its ability to grow on BTEX as a sole carbon source. We cloned and sequenced the entire BTEX-degrading pathway genes of PHS1 and found that two multicomponent mono-oxygenases together with meta-pathway genes are responsible for the BTEX biodegradation.

The effect of upflow velocity on size distribution and activity of granular sludge was studied in laboratory-scale Expended Granular Sludge Bed(EGSB) reactor fed with non-fat dry milk and sucrose as sole carbon and energy source. High upflow velocity advanced size and activity of granular sludge by distribution and floatation of granular sludge. Therefore, the reactor operation of an apt upflow velocity was needed and an apt upflow velocity in this experimental was estimated to 1-10m/hr.
