Electrical Characteristics of PZT Ferroelectric Thin Films (PZT 강유전 박막의 전기적 특성)

  • Pb(Zr, Ti)$O_3$ ferroelectric thin layers were deposited onto Pt/$SiO_2$/Si substrates by Sol-Gel processing and annealed by RTA at $600^{\circ}C$ for $20{\sim}30\;sec$. microstructure of the films was examined by XRD and SEM analysis. Electrical properties of PZT thin films with different Zr/Ti ratio yield $P_r$ ranging $10{\sim}21{\mu}C/cm^2$, $E_c$, ranging $37.5{\sim}137.5\;kV/cm$, switching times faster than 180nsec, and leakage current about $20{\mu}A/cm^2$. The film was endured about $10^{10}$ fatigue cycles.

Microstructure and Magnetic State of Fe3O4-SiO2 Colloidal Particles

  • Colloidal particles consisted of individual nanosized magnetite grains on the surface of the silica cores were obtained by two-stage sol-gel technique. Size distribution and microstructure of the particles were analyzed using atomic force microscopy, X-ray diffraction and Nitrogen thermal desorption. Magnetic properties of the particles were studied by the method of the longitudinal nonlinear response. It has been shown that nanoparticles of magnetite have a size corresponding to a superparamagnetic state but exhibit hysteresis properties. The phenomenon was explained using the magnetostatic interaction model based on the hypothesis of iron oxide particles cluster aggregation on the silica surface.

Crystallization of $PbTiO_3$ Prepared by Wet-Chemical Methods (습식 화학법으로 제조된 $PbTiO_3$의 결정화)

  • The cyrstallization behavior of lead titanate powders prepared by sol-gel and coprecipitation techniques was investigated. The lead titanate precursors were derived from a mixed solution of lead nitrate and titanium tetrachloride at 4$0^{\circ}C$ to 43$^{\circ}C$ and pH of 9.00 to 9.75. The X-ray diffraction patterns of the dried gel and coprecipitated powders showed it to be amorphous. DTA runs of the powders indicated crystallization to occur at 475~48$0^{\circ}C$. However, the amorphous powders were partially crystallized at 400~45$0^{\circ}C$ with sufficient annealing time. The room temperature Raman spectra from heat-treated powders changed continuously from amorphous to crystalline state with increasing heat-treating temperature. By annealing coprecipitated powders, a dramatic change in the Raman spectra due to the structural relaxation as the annealing temperatures increased, was clearly visible. i.e., coprecipitated, gel, and crystalline structure, in turn.

  • 차세대 비젼 컴퓨팅 환경인 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅(Ubiquitous Computing)환경에서는 사용자에 대한 상황(context)변화에 적응적(adaptive)으로 서비스 해줄 수 있는 응용이 필수적인 요소라고 할 수 있다. Service기반의 분산 네트워크인 JINI를 기반으로, 사용자에 대한 상황을 인식(context-aware)하기 위한 시스템 연구 역시 관심의 대상이라고 한 수 있겠다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 환경을 기반으로 사용자에 대한 행동, 감정상태, 위치와 같은 정보를 인식할 수 있으며, 검색을 통해 사용자의 위치정보, 활동형태 등의 context들을 질의 할 수 있는 Context-aware 챗팅 프로그램을 기술하고 있다. 또한 인터페이스를 사용하는 사용자들에 대한 context 데이터의 표현과 질의를 위해 메타언어인 eXtensible Makup Language (XML)을 사용하였다. 이러한 context-aware system은 편재형 컴퓨팅환경 하에서 사용자에게 유효한 context를 생성 및 관리, 응용 서비스에서 유용하게 이용할 수 있을 것이다.

  • Barium titanate owes its great importance to the fact that its dielectric constant is about 100 times higher than that of conventional dielectric materials provided its compositional and structural purity is extremely high. The value of crystalline BaTiO3 bodies as used, for instance, in computer elements, magnetic amplifiers, memory device, ets., depend on boththe compositional and the structural purity of the BaTiO3 crystals. This purity will, in turn, depend on the purity of the raw materials used in manufacturing the BaTiO3 compound and on the particularmethods of manufacture which determine the size, homogeneity, and the structural purity of the crystals. This paper reviews the important theoretical considerations, processing techniques and applications related to sol-gel derived thin films.

  • TiO$_2$ 박막은 높은 유전율과 우수한 화학적 안전성, 가시광선 영역에서 우수한 투과성 및 높은 굴절률을 가지고 있어 광범위한 분야에 중요한 물질로써 사용되어져 왔다. 일반적으로 TiO$_2$는 rutile, anatase, brookite의 세 가지 결정형태를 가진다. 이런 TiO$_2$ 박막을 제작하기 위해 sputtering, e-beam evaporation, sol-gel method, chemical vapor deposition(CVD) 등과 같은 물리적, 화학적인 방법이 이용되고 있다. 이러한 제조방법들 중에서 스퍼터링 방법은 박막을 형성하는 이온들의 이온에너지를 높여주어 덩어리에 가까운 성질을 가지기 때문에 조밀한 박막을 제작하는데 이용되며, 박막의 대면적 코팅과 표면 경도가 우수한 박막을 제작할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. Aerosol Wall Loss in Teflon Film Chambers Filled with Ambient Air

  • Aerosol wall loss is an important factor affecting smog chamber experiments, especially with chambers made of Teflon film. In this work, the aerosol wall loss was investigated in 2.5 and $5.8-m^3$ cubic-shaped Teflon film chambers filled with ambient air. The natural change in the particle size distribution was measured using a scanning mobility particle sizer in a dark environment. The rate of aerosol wall loss was obtained from the deposition theory suggested by Crump and Seinfeld (1981). The measured rates of aero-sol wall loss were In a good agreement with the theoretical and experimental values given by McMurry and Rader (1985), implying that the electrostatic effect enhances particle deposition on the chamber wall. The significance of aerosol wall loss correction was demonstrated with the photochemical reaction experiments using the ambient air.

  • 차세대 LCD back light 시스템으로 Xe plasma plat lamp를 주목하고 있으나 자외선 여기 효율이 떨어져 램프의 휘도 및 광 효율이 낮은 단점을 가지고 있어 이에 따른 개선이 요구되고 있다. MgO는 AC-PDP에서 방전전압의 저하, 방전의 안정성, 동작마진과 같은 특성에 영향을 미치고 있기에 이번 연구 에서는 졸겔법으로 제작한 MgO를 프린팅 방법으로 flat fluorescent lamp에 적용하였다. 실험시 사용한 flat fluorescent lamp의 경우 ITO 전극과 MgO layer 그리고 형광체층을 가진 두 장의 유리판 사이에 Ne-Xe기체를 채운 단순한 구조로 제작하였다. 실험은 압력과 방전거리에 따른 특성을 살펴보았으며, 그 결과 MgO layer 채용한 경우 방전 전압의 감소 및 static margin의 증가를 알 수 있었다.

Implementation of the submarine diving simulation in a distributed environment

  • To implement a combined discrete event and discrete time simulation such as submarine diving simulation in a distributed environment, e.g., in the High Level Architecture (HLA)/Run-Time Infrastructure (RTI), a HLA interface, which can easily connect combined models with the HLA/RTI, was developed in this study. To verify the function and performance of the HLA interface, it was applied to the submarine dive scenario in a distributed environment, and the distributed simulation shows the same results as the stand-alone simulation. Finally, by adding a visualization model to the simulation and by editing this model, we can confirm that the HLA interface can provide user-friendly functions such as adding new model and editing a model.

  • This Paper Presents the optimized design of micro-heaters using 501(Si-on-insulator) substrate and oxide-filled trench structure In order to justify a lumped model approximation and thermal boundary assumptions, two-dimensional FDM(finite difference among which conduction is the dominant heat dissipation path. Compared with no-trenchs on the SOI structure, the micro-heaters with trench structures has properties of low heater loss and good thermal isolation. The simulation results show that the heater loss decreases as the number. width and distance of trenchs increases.
