SiO2, SnO2 코팅된 청색 CoAl2O4 안료의 색상, 물성 평가 연구 (Coloration and Chemical Stability of SiO2 and SnO2 Coated Blue CoAl2O4 Pigment)

  • This work describes the coloration, chemical stability of $SiO_2$ and $SnO_2$-coated blue $CoAl_2O_4$ pigment. The $CoAl_2O_4$, raw materials, were synthesized by a co-precipitation method and coated with silica ($SiO_2$) and tin oxide ($SnO_2$) using sol-gel method, respectively. To study phase and coloration of $CoAl_2O_4$, we prepared nano sized $CoAl_2O_4$ pigments which were coated $SiO_2$ and $SnO_2$ using tetraethylorthosilicate, $Na_2SiO_3$ and $Na_2SiO_3$ as a coating material. To determine the stability of the coated samples and their colloidal solutions under acidic and basic conditions, colloidal nanoparticle solutions with various pH values were prepared and monitored over time. Blue $CoAl_2O_4$ solutions were tuned yellow color under all acidic/basic conditions. On the other hand, the chemical stability of $SiO_2$ and $SnO_2$-coated $CoAl_2O_4$ solution were improved when all samples pH values, respectively. Phase stability under acidic/basic condition of the core-shell type $CoAl_2O_4$ powders were characterized by transmission electron microscope, X-ray diffraction, CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ color parameter measurements.

  • Ni-Cr-Al metal-foam-supported catalysts for steam methane reforming (SMR) are manufactured by applying a catalytic Ni/Al2O3 sol-gel coating to powder alloyed metallic foam. The structure, microstructure, mechanical stability, and hydrogen yield efficiency of the obtained catalysts are evaluated. The structural and microstructural characteristics show that the catalyst is well coated on the open-pore Ni-Cr-Al foam without cracks or spallation. The measured compressive yield strengths are 2-3 MPa at room temperature and 1.5-2.2 MPa at 750℃ regardless of sample size. The specimens exhibit a weight loss of up to 9-10% at elevated temperature owing to the spallation of the Ni/Al2O3 catalyst. However, the metal-foam-supported catalyst appears to have higher mechanical stability than ceramic pellet catalysts. In SMR simulations tests, a methane conversion ratio of up to 96% is obtained with a high hydrogen yield efficiency of 82%.

졸-겔법에 의해 제조된 정극 활물질 LiNi0.8Co0.2-xMxO2[M=Al]의 전기화학적 특성 (A Study on the Electrochemical Properties of LiNi0.8Co0.2-xMxO2[M=Al] Cathode Materials Prepared by Sol-Gel Method)

  • 우수한 전기화학적 특성을 갖는 $LiN_{0.8}Co_{0.2}O_2$ 정극 활물질을 평균 $1{\mu}m$ 이하의 균일한 입자 분포를 얻을 수 있는 액상 반응법의 하나인 졸겔법을 이용하여 제조하였다. 제조된 $LiN_{0.8}Co_{0.2}O_2$를 X선 회절과 TEM(transmission electron microscopy)분석을 통하여 미세구조를 분석하였다. 충방전 실험전과 실험후의 미세구조의 변화에 중점을 주어 실험하였으며, 그 결과 졸겔법으로 제조된$LiN_{0.8}Co_{0.2}O_2$ 정극 활물질은 높은 가역 용량을 가지며 뛰어난 싸이클 특성을 가지고 있다 이는 졸겔법으로 제소함으로 인하여 Ni과 Co양이온의 균일한 화학조성을 가지고 있기 때문이라 생각된다. 특히 $LiCoO_2$에서 관찰되었던 cubic spinel disordering과 심각한 구조적 결함이 관찰되지 않았다. 또한 Al 치환으로 인하여 싸이클 특성을 좋아졌지만 용량은 감소하였다.

인조스웨드의 견뢰도 향상에 관한 연구 (3) (Enhancement of Dyeing Fastness of Artificial Suede (3))

  • Silica microgel was prepared by sol-gel process and then functional groups, epoxy group and ethoxy group, were introduced on the particle by coupling treatment with 3-glysidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane. The functional silica microgel(functional SiGel) formation was identified using FT-IR spectrometry. Phase stability for DMF solution of functional SiGel, PU resin and pigment was evaluated by Turbiscan Lab. And physical properties of artificial suede including hand values, morphology and dyeing fastness were investigated. The mean particle size and the specific surface area of the functional SiGel were $0.77{\mu}m$ and $380m^2/g$. Mixture containing the functional SiGel, PU resin and pigment was more stable than the functional SiGel-free mixed solution. Artificial suede prepared by the functional SiGel had appearance and feeling close to natural suede. The migration fastness, the solvent wicking fastness and rubbing fastness of the artificial suede were enhanced to 4~5 grades, 4~5 grades and 3~4 grades, respectively.

Improved Temperature Stability in Dielectric Properties of 0.8BaTiO3-(0.2-x)NaNbO3-xBi(Mg1/2Ti1/2)O3 Relaxors

  • Ferroelectric relaxor ceramics with $BaTiO_3-NaNbO_3-Bi(Mg_{1/2}Ti_{1/2})O_3$ ternary compositions (BT-NN-BMT) have been prepared by sol-gel powder synthesis and consequent bulk ceramic processing. Through the modified chemical approach, fine and single-phase complex perovskite compositions were successfully obtained. Temperature and frequency dependent dielectric properties indicated typical relaxor characteristics of the BT-NN-BMT compositions. The ferroelectric-paraelectric phase transition became diffusive when NN and BMT were added to form BT based solid solutions. BMT additions to the BT-NN solid solutions affected the high temperature dielectric properties, which might be attributable to the compositional inhomogeneity of the complex perovskite and resulting weak dielectric coupling of the Bi-containing polar nanoregions (PNRs). The temperature stability of the dielectric properties was good enough to satisfy the X9R specification. The quasi-linear P-E response and the temperature- stable dielectric properties imply the high potential of this ceramic compound for use in high temperature capacitors.

선미 규칙파 중 고속 활주선의 연직면 운동에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Vertical Motion of a High-Speed Planing Craft in Regular Following Waves)

  • It is well known that when a high-speed planing craft travels in following seas it experiences long-periodic motions due to low encounter frequency, and it often loses its course keeping stability. Therefore, it is necessary to study the sea-keeping performance and stability of it in the following seas. In this paper, the vertical motions of a planing craft were measured in following regular waves, and the test results were compared with the theoretical results. In the case of the same encounter frequency, non-dimensionalized motion amplitudes become larger as Froude number is higher, and non-dimensionalized motion amplitudes in head waves are larger than those in following waves. The mean values of the motions in following waves are similar to the running attitudes of a craft in calm water at the same Froude number.

Proton Conductivity of Niobium Phosphate Glass Thin Films

  • Among the fuel cell electrolyte candidates in the intermediate temperature range, glass materials show stable physical properties and are also expected to have higher ion conductivity than crystalline materials. In particular, phosphate glass has a high mobility of protons since such a structure maintains a hydrogen bond network that leads to high proton conductivity. Recently, defects like volatilization of phosphorus and destruction of the bonding structure have remarkably improved with introduction of cations, such as Zr4+ and Nb5+, into phosphate. In particular, niobium has proton conductivity on the surface because of higher surface acidity. It can also retain phosphorus content during heat treatment and improve chemical stability by bonding with phosphorus. In this study, we fabricate niobium phosphate glass thin films through sol-gel processing, and we report the chemical stability and electrical properties. The existence of the hydroxyl group in the phosphate is confirmed and found to be preserved at the intermediate temperature region of $150-450^{\circ}C$.

  • $LiNi_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}Co_{1/3}O_2$ cathode material was synthesized by a mixed hydroxide methode. The surface of the $LiNi_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}Co_{1/3}O_2$ was coated with a carbon by using a sol-gel method to improve further its electrochemical properties. Electrochemical studies were performed by assembling 2032 coin cells with lithium metal as an anode. OSC (differential scanning calorimetry) data showed that exothermic reactions of charged to 4.3V vs. Li was suppressed in the carbon-coated materials. The carbon-coated $LiNi_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}Co_{1/3}O_2$ showed the improved rate capability and thermal stability.

다양한 불안정면에서의 스쿼트 운동이 체간 및 하지 근육 활성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect on Muscle Activation in Trunk and Low-limbs during Squat Exercise on Various Instability Surface)

  • 이 연구는 다양한 불안정면에서의 스쿼트 운동이 체간과 하지근육의 활성도에 미치는 영향을 비교하는데 목적이 있다. 10명의 피험자가 안정면, 불안정면인 스타빌리티 블루와 블랙, 보수에서 75% 1RM의 강도에서 스쿼트 동작을 실시하였다. 체간근육으로는 복직근, 외복사근, 내복사근 및 다열근에 근전도를 부착하였고, 하지근육으로는 대둔근, 중둔근, 대퇴이두근, 대퇴직 근, 외측광근, 내측광근, 내측비복근, 외측비복근, 가지미근, 전경근에 근전도를 부착하여 스쿼트 동작의 상승과 하간구상의 근활성도를 측정하였다. 안정면과 불안정면에서의 근활성도를 비교하기 위하여 일원변량분석을 실시하였으며, 사후검증으로 sheffe를 이용하였다. 하강구간에서 근활성도는 보수에서의 스쿼트 동작 시 내측광근, 다열근, 대둔근과 중둔근의 활성도가 안정면과 다른 불안정면에서의 스쿼트 동작 시보다 높게 나타났다. 상승구간에서 근활성도는 보수에서의 스쿼트 동작 시 대둔근의 활성도가 안정면과 다른 불안정면에서의 스쿼트 동작 시보다 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 보수에서의 스쿼트 동작이 체간근육과 둔근의 활성도를 증가시키는데 효과적이라고 제시할 수 있다. 그러나 하지근육의 활성도는 불안정성에 따른 차이가 없는 것으로 사료된다.

  • NASICON sensors compare properties with manufacture method in order to improve $CO_2$ sensitivity and stability the sensing behaviors. Oxidation mixing method and Sol-gel method were compare analyze to characteristic in which each other sintered to $900^{\circ}C\;to\;1100^{\circ}C$ and NASICON $CO_2$ gas sensors were fabricate. Oxidation mixing method showed better sensing properties at sintered $1100^{\circ}C$ result to NASICON electrolyte analyze with manufacture methods.
