V-밴드 밀리미터파 대역의 실내 통신환경 분석을 위한 경로손실 예측 소프트웨어 개발 (Development of Propagation Loss Prediction Software for the Indoor V-Band Millimeterwave Communication Environments)

  • 본 논문에서는, 기하광학 기법을 적용하여 60GHz 대역의 밀리미터파 실내통신환경에서 전파손실 파라미터를 예측할 수 있는 GUI 기반의 프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램은 전기영상법과 광선 추적기법의 두 가지 모듈로 구성되어 있으며, 각각 UTD 이론이 적용되었다. 전기영상법을 사용한 일(一)자형 복도 구조와 광선 추적기법을 적용한 T자형 복도 구조에 대한 결과를 제시하였다. 시물레이션 결과 데이터는 기존 논문에서 발표된 측정 데이터와 비교 검증하였으며, 전파손실에 대한 비교결과가 매우 잘 일치 하였다.

  • The potential value of the Application Specific Integrated Circuits(ASIC's) in safety systems of Nuclear Power Plants(NPP's) is being increasingly recognized because they are essentially hardwired circuitry on a chip, the reliability of the system can be proved more easily than that of software based systems which is difficult in point of software V&V(Verification and Validation). There are two types of ASIC, one is a full customized type, the other is a half customized type. PLD(Programmable Logic Device) used in this paper is a half customized ASIC which is a device consisting of blocks of logic connected with programmable interconnections that are customized in the package by end users. This paper describes the RPS(Reactor Protection System) composed of ASICs which provides emergency shutdown of the reactor to protect the core and the pressure boundary of RCS(Reactor Coolant System) in NPP's. The RPS is largely composed of five logic blocks, each of them was implemented in one PLD, as the followings. A). Bistable Logic B). Matrix Logic C).Initiation Logic D). MMI(Man Machine Interface) Logic E). Test Logic.

  • 본 논문은 토목 공사 현장에서의 효율적인 다짐관리를 위하여 RTK GPS측량에 의한 다짐관리 시스템의 개발에 관한 것이다. 실시간 GPS측량방법은 현장에서 실시간으로 측량사의 위치를 그래픽 화면에 출력하여 정확한 위치를 결정할 수 있는 방법으로 본 연구에서는 로울러상에 실시간 GPS시스템을 장착하고 개발된 소프트웨어 (GPSROLL v.1.0)로써 산출한 다짐횟수나 컴퓨터 화면에 출력된 로울러의 이동궤적을 파악하여 다짐관리의 효율성을 높이고자 하였다. 또한 다짐현장에서 필요한 토질실험 데이터 처리용 프로그램과 측량계산 프로그램을 개발하여 현장관리의 효율화를 제고하였으며, 한글 GUI를 이용하여 사용자가 편리하게 이용 가능토록 데이터 입력화면 및 출력화면을 구현하였다.

이온주입장치의 원격제어시스템 구축 (Remote Control System of Ion Implanter)

  • The goal of this research is to implement a PC-based remote control system of ion implanter using Visual Basic programming. Presently, skilled process engineers are required to regularly setup and adjust implanter parameters. Any reduction in the number of production hours devoted to ion beam implanter setup or recalibration after a species change would represent substantial improvements in both manpower and equipment utilization. An optical communication system for the remote control and telemetry in the operation of the 50kev potential was designed and constructed. This system enables continuous and safe operation of the ion implanter and can be the basis for the automation. The isolation characteristics of optical fiber were 10kV/cm, and performance tests of the system under the intense noise environment during the implanter operations showed satisfactory results. This system is designed to completely replace the existing human-machine interface with many new functions. This paper describes the important components of the system including system architecture and software development. It is expected that this system can be used for the communication and control purpose in the high noise environments such as the operation of the MeV energy implanter or other high power, high noise systems.

RPI모형을 이용한 ULPU-V시험의 수치모사 (Numerical Simulation on the ULPU-V Experiments using RPI Model)

  • The external reactor vessel cooling (ERVC) is well known strategy to mitigate a severe accident at which nuclear fuel inside the reactor vessel is molten. In order to compare the heat removal capacity of ERVC between the nuclear reactor designs quantitatively, numerical method is often used. However, the study for ERVC using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is still quite scarce. As a validation study on the numerical prediction for ERVC using CFD, the subcooled boiling flow and natural circulation of coolant at the ULPU-V experiment was simulated. The commercially available CFD software ANSYS-CFX was used. Shear stress transport (SST) model and RPI model were used for turbulence closure and wall-boiling, respectively. The averaged flow velocities in the downcomer and the baffle entry under the reactor vessel lower plenum are in good agreement with the available experimental data and recent computational results. Steam generated from the heated wall condenses rapidly and coolant flows maintains single-phase flow until coolant boils again by flashing process due to the decrease of saturation temperature induced by higher elevation. Hence, the flow rate of coolant natural circulation does not vary significantly with the change of heat flux applied at the reactor vessel, which is also consistent with the previous literatures.

  • This paper describes a look-ahead algorithm of PCNC(personal computer numerical control). The algorithm is based on acceleration/deceleration before interpolation never including a command error and determines a velocity value in end point of each block(or start point of each block). The algorithm is represented as following; 1) calculating two maximum arrival velocity(v1, v2) by a acceleration value, a command velocity and distance in a previous block and a next block, 2) getting a tangent velocity(v3) of the adjacent blocks, 3) choosing a minimum value among these three velocities, and 4) setting the value to a velocity of a start point of the next block(or a end point of the previous block). The proposed look-ahead algorithm was implemented and tested by using a commercial RTOS(real time operation system) on the MS-Windows NT 4.0 in a PC platform. For interfacing to a machine, a counter board, a DAC board and a DIO board were used. The result of the algorithm increased a machining precision and a machining speed in many short blocks.

80μW/MHz 0.68V Ultra Low-Power Variation-Tolerant Superscalar Dual-Core Application Processor

  • Upcoming ground-breaking applications for always-on tiny interconnected devices steadily demand two-fold features of processor cores: aggressively low power consumption and enhanced performance. We propose implementation of a novel superscalar low-power processor core with a low supply voltage. The core implements intra-core low-power microarchitecture with minimal performance degradation in instruction fetch, branch prediction, scheduling, and execution units. The inter-core lockstep not only detects malfunctions during low-voltage operation but also carries out software-based recovery. The chip incorporates a pair of cores, high-speed memory, and peripheral interfaces to be implemented with a 65nm node. The processor core consumes only 24mW at 350MHz and 0.68V, resulting in power efficiency of $80{\mu}W/MHz$. The operating frequency of the core reaches 850MHz at 1.2V.

  • ITS 기술의 발전으로 인해 교통 분야에 관련한 서비스들이 제시되고 있다. 최근 V2X 기술은 기존 자동차 또는 도로 인프라에 IT기술이 접목되는 IT 융합 기술 중 하나이며, 주요 자동차 선진국들과 메이커들은 차세대 자동차 기술 중 하나로 생각하고 있다. 또한 국제적으로 차량 간 통신을 이용한 국가 프로젝트 및 서비스가 제안되고 있다. 따라서 이러한 안전 서비스에 대한 시나리오가 많이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 차량 간 통신을 활용하여 안전 서비스 설계 및 구현을 제시한다. 이 시나리오 구현 결과 운전자, 보행자 모두 안전 할 수 있는 방법을 보인다. 향후 차량 통신이 실제 차에 적용되었을 경우 고려해야 할 결과를 결론에서 제시하였다.

Stroke Disease Identification System by using Machine Learning Algorithm

  • A stroke is a medical disease where a blood vessel in the brain ruptures, causes damage to the brain. If the flow of blood and different nutrients to the brain is intermittent, symptoms may occur. Stroke is other reason for loss of life and widespread disorder. The prevalence of stroke is high in growing countries, with ischemic stroke being the high usual category. Many of the forewarning signs of stroke can be recognized the seriousness of a stroke can be reduced. Most of the earlier stroke detections and prediction models uses image examination tools like CT (Computed Tomography) scan or MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) which are costly and difficult to use for actual-time recognition. Machine learning (ML) is a part of artificial intelligence (AI) that makes software applications to gain the exact accuracy to predict the end results not having to be directly involved to get the work done. In recent times ML algorithms have gained lot of attention due to their accurate results in medical fields. Hence in this work, Stroke disease identification system by using Machine Learning algorithm is presented. The ML algorithm used in this work is Artificial Neural Network (ANN). The result analysis of presented ML algorithm is compared with different ML algorithms. The performance of the presented approach is compared to find the better algorithm for stroke identification.

PCI 기반 LEON2-FT 프로세서를 위한 시스템 소프트웨어 설계 및 시뮬레이션 (System Software Design and Simulation for LEON2-FT Processor based on PCI)

  • 인공위성의 임무가 다양해지고 요구사항이 높아짐에 따라 탑재컴퓨터의 성능 향상이 필수적으로 대두되었으며, 인공위성 탑재컴퓨터의 활용도를 높이기 위해 표준화 설계 및 시스템 재구성이 가능한 모듈화 기반으로 개발 되고 있다. 현재 한국항공우주연구원에서 개발 중인 차세대 인공위성의 탑재컴퓨터 경우 높은 성능을 제공하기 위해 SPARC v8 기반의 LEON2-FT/ AT697F 프로세서를 채택하였으며 SpaceWire, MIL-STD-1553B, CAN 등의 다양한 통신 디바이스들을 표준화 된 통신칩으로 구성하여 프로세서에서 PCI 통신을 통해 각종 디바이스들을 제어 및 통신 할 수 있도록 개발 하고 있다. 본 논문에서 차세대 탑재컴퓨터의 LEON2-FT 프로세서와 PCI 기반에서의 시스템 소프트웨어 개발 방안에 대해서 기술하며, PCI 소프트웨어 컴포넌트 설계 및 실시간 운영체제인 VxWorks 6.5 포팅 그리고 개발 된 시스템 소프트웨어를 검증하기 위한 시뮬레이션 방안을 제시한다.
