As the demand for the talented with computing thinking and programming skills increases the importance of coding education is increasing. Although various coding instructor training programs have been implemented nationwide, little research has been conducted analyzing the current status and contents of coding instructor training programs. Therefore, this thesis presents the design, development process and managing strategies of the 'Coding Instructor Training Courses for 4C Talent Development'. The training program consists of introductory courses and practical coding courses. In the introductory courses, learners acquires the basic knowledge required of coding instructors, and then proceeds to the practical courses to systematically learn the pedagogical knowledge and skills required to educate learners from kindergarten through high school. The case study introduced in this paper is expected to provide useful information to the educators planning and managing the coding instructor training program in the future.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to develop programs that help students adjust to school and provide basic data for the students who have difficulty adjusting to school by analyzing the influence of elementary school students' stress and their relationship with parents on school adjustment. Methods: The study surveyed fourth graders in 3 elementary schools in G district. The researcher used convenience sampling to select the 3 elementary schools. The combined 158 students were selected for the analysis, and the survey was conducted for a month in September 2011. The stress monitoring tool used in the 5th year of Korean Youth Panel Survey was mobilized to measure levels of stress among the participants. To measure the parent-child relationship, the Korean Parent-Child Relationships Scale was used. For the measurement of school adjustment, a tool designed to identify the school adjustment of elementary school students was used. The SPSS 21 software and a two-sided test under the significance level of ${\alpha}=0.05$ were used to analyze data. The regression analysis was also used to identify the relative influence of the stress and parent-child relationship on children's adjustment to school. Results: The regression analysis has found the following: the higher peer stress (B=-0.175) and parental strictness (B=-0.159) grow, the lower the level of school adjustment gets; the higher the level of intimacy between parent and child gets, the higher the level of school adjustment grows; and intimacy between parent and child (${\beta}=0.400$) has the largest influence on the child's school adjustment. Conclusions: For elementary school students to be well adjusted to school, their stress and relationships with their parents should be managed. In particular, using the programs that can reduce stress from peers and increase parent-child intimacy will be effective in helping students adjust to school.
This study focuses on the following question; self-supporting training program increases participants' income compare to non-participants who have similar characteristics. This question is based on counterfactual assumption. In other words, this study concentrates on what the outcomes would have been if the participants were to be absent. This study adopts a quasi-experimental design. To overcome previous study's methodological weaknesses, especially selection bias, I applied matching procedure based on a propensity-score matching. Matching process was performed by using 'MatchIt' software. The major findings are as follows From Least Squares Regression analysis, I found the poor's income are significantly different according to age, pre-intervention earning, material status, and participation of training. Since the poor have homogeneous education level, education variable was not statistically significant. From the Simulation Quantities of Interest analysis, I also found that treatment group's expected incomes are lower than control's expected incomes. In other words, participation of training has a negative effect on the participants' earnings.
Background: We conducted a cross-sectional study of residents within and outside Fukushima Prefecture to clarify their perceptions of the need for smartphone applications (apps) for explaining exposure doses. The results will lead to more effective methods for identifying target groups for future app development by researchers and municipalities, which will promote residents' understanding of radiological situations. Materials and Methods: In November 2019, 400 people in Fukushima Prefecture and 400 people outside were surveyed via a web-based questionnaire. In addition to basic characteristics, survey items included concerns about radiation levels and intention to use a smartphone app to keep track of exposure. The analysis was conducted by stratifying responses in each region and then cross-tabulating responses to concerns about radiation levels and intention to use an app by demographic variables. The intention to use an app was analyzed by binomial logistic regression analysis. Text-mining analyses were conducted in KH Coder software. Results and Discussion: Outside Fukushima Prefecture, concerns about the medical exposure of women to radiation exceeded 30%. Within the prefecture, the medical exposure of women, purchasing food products, and consumption of own-grown food were the main concerns. Within the prefecture, having children under the age of 18, the experience of measurement, and having experience of evacuation were significantly related to the intention to use an app. Conclusion: Regional and individual differences were evident. Since respondents differ, it is necessary to develop and promote app use in accordance with their needs and with phases of reconstruction. We expect that a suitable app will not only collect data but also connect local service providers and residents, while protecting personal information.

With the emergence of a climate crisis, climate disasters have recently been clearly felt in Korea. In particular, the typhoon 'Hinnamno' in the summer of 2022 made many people feel a sense of crisis with its formidable power. In this situation, children are likely to suffer great damage even in small crises due to their lack of experience and ability to cope with disaster situations. In this paper, we introduce a disaster response learning application that supports children's disaster response training. Designed based on research results on situational learning theory and child disaster safety education, this system produces various episodes and trains them to encounter disaster situations. Children can participate in the episode by choosing options during the episode, which is reflected in the picture diary after the episode is completed. By providing information naturally in the picture diary, children can access how to cope with disaster situations. Through this system, children are expected to develop their judgment in disaster situations that they can encounter and have the ability to secure basic safety outside of adult help.

Virtual reality simulations are used for education and training in various fields, and are especially widely used in the medical field recently. The education/training simulator consists of tactile/force feedback generation and image/sound output hardware that provides a sense similar to a doctor's treatment of a real patient using real surgical tools, and software that produces realistic images and tactile feedback. Existing simulators are complicated and expensive because they have to use various types of hardware to simulate various surgical instruments used during surgery. In this paper, we propose a dental surgical simulation system using a force feedback device and a morphable haptic controller. Haptic hardware determines whether the surgical tool collides with the surgical site and provides a sense of resistance and vibration. In particular, haptic controllers that can be deformed, such as length changes and bending, can express various senses felt depending on the shape of various surgical tools. When the user manipulates the haptic feedback device, events such as movement of the haptic feedback device or button clicks are delivered to the simulation system, resulting in interaction between dental surgical tools and oral internal models, and thus haptic feedback is delivered to the haptic feedback device. Using these basic techniques, we provide a realistic training experience of impacted wisdom tooth extraction surgery, a representative dental surgery technique, in a virtual environment represented by sophisticated three-dimensional models.
The purpose of this study is to provide basic information on the current status of elementary school teachers' perception of gifted education. For this purpose, this study wi1l analyze elementary school teachers' perception of the gifted education (i.e., general perception of gifted education, characteristics of gifted children, identification of gifted children, programs for gifted education, and teachers of gifted education). A questionnaire survey was used for the purpose and research questions of this study. The questionnaire used in this study was constructed by taking into account the results of surveys conducted in previous studies and the literature on gifted education. Before conducting the research, a preliminary inquiry was made to identify problems that may occur while the subjects were participating in the survey, as well as to determine the appropriateness of the questionnaire and the amount of time needed. The preliminary inquiry was conducted with ten randomly selected elementary school teachers who did not participate as subjects in the actual research. The results were later used as initial data for the actual research. The subjects of this study were teachers who were teaching in8 elementary schools under each office of education in Seoul. This process was conducted for 180 elementary school teachers from April to May 2004. The results were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) Ver. 10.1, a software program for statistical research. After the data were analyzed, the following conclusions were arrived at: 1. The result of the genera1 perception of gifted education by elementary school teachers were positive and reasonably high. The level of their perception of detailed information or knowledge, however, was relatively low. 2. As for their perceptions of the emotional characteristics of gifted children, t11e results showed a low level of understanding of the characteristics of gifted children. 3. As for their perceptions of identification of gifted children, the results showed a high level of understanding of the appropriate time to provide special education to gifted children and of the methods to identify such. On the other hand, their understanding of the identification of gifted children in an actual class was poor. 4. The respondents' level of perceptions of programs for gifted education was very low since many subjects did not have any experiences with such programs. 5. The results showed a very positive response to receiving training on gifted education, though they were very reluctant to be assigned as teachers of gifted education because of the excessive work that is associated with such and their lack of capability in handling gifted children.

This study aimed to secure basic data for the development and operation of well-aging education programs by analyzing the physical, mental, and socio-economic needs of well-aging education for successful aging. The research tool was developed as a questionnaire to investigate the perception of well aging and the needs of well-aging education in terms of physical, mental, and socio-economic aspects. In February 2021, 1949 adults over the age of 19 were surveyed through an online and mobile survey by Gallup Korea. Descriptive statistics analysis, variance analysis, Borich needs analysis, and IPA analysis were conducted to analyze the needs of well-aging education. The results revealed economic power, exercise, and chronic disease management to be high in terms of the overall priority of the education needs for well-aging, and infectious disease management, independence, and social responsibility were surveyed in the order of low education needs. In terms of economic power, education needs were highest among all age groups except for the middle-age group (35-49 years old), 82.4% of all respondents, and education needs for exercise and chronic disease management were highest in the middle-age group. Therefore, it is necessary to develop well-aging education programs for each life cycle. These results are expected to be used as empirical data in establishing a platform for developing and operating educational programs for well aging.

The 2015 Revised National Curriculum emphasizes software education to develop creative and convergent talents in preparation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Accordingly, it is necessary to develop competency-based training programs for informatics teachers in a rapidly changing educational environment. In this background, this study selects a framework to analyze the content of in-service training for informatics teachers through review of previous studies. By analyzing the current training programs to strengthen competencies required for informatics teachers in secondary schools, the study aims to develop implications for future in-service training programs. To this end, the study conducted a questionnaire survey of experts who participated in the development of in-service training textbooks and consulted them, then analyzed the elements of competency-based training program content and the relative importance of each competency element using the analytical hierarchy process (AHP). According to the results of the analysis, the content was relatively concentrated on the competency of "Understanding and Reconstructing the National Curriculum" required for general and informatics teachers as well, which accounted for 47% of all, or 7 hours out of the total 15 hours. In contrast, the content structure lacked the competency of highly relative importance by competency element "Establishing and Using Teaching-Learning Strategies for Informatics," which took up the highest portion of 27%. These findings will be used as basic data for understanding and reflecting the areas that fall short of the development of in-service training programs for informatics teachers.
The purpose of this research was to look at whether small group drawing activities can be applied to learning content that combine mathematics and art, by analyzing the changes in $10^{th}$ grade students' interests in mathematics and particular features of their strategic thinking that were reflected in small group drawing activities using graphs and inequations. The results of the study are as follows: 1. The small group drawing activity using graphs and inequations demonstrated that students interests in mathematics could experience positive changes. 2. The small group drawing activity using graphs and inequations was effective in stimulating the students' strategic thinking skills, which are higher level thinking activities necessary for creating problem solving. As the students went through the whole process of accomplishing a complete goal, the students engaged in integrated thinking activities that brought understandings of basic graphs and inequations together, and were also found to use such higher level thinking functions needed in achieving creative problem solving such as critical thinking, flexible thinking, development-oriented thinking, and inferential thinking. 3. The small group drawing activity using graphs and in equations could be expected to constitute learning content that integrate mathematics and art, and is an effective solution in boosting students' strengths in mathematics by way of activities that consider students' unique cognitive and qualitative peculiarities and through integration with art.
