Objective: The goal of this research is to develop new user behavior model using user motion analysis with microscopic perspective for attracting user's participation in interactive space. Background: The interactive space is 'human's place', which is made up of complex elements of digital virtual space and traditional analog and physical environment based on human-computer interaction system. Human behavior has changed in it at the same time. If the user couldn't make participation in interaction, the purpose of the system is not met, which reduces its effect. Therefore, we need to focus on interactive space that is potential future direction from a new point of view. Method: For this research, we would discuss and study fields of interactive space; (1) finding definition of interactive space and studying background of theory about it. (2) providing base of user behavior model with study of user's context that is to be user information and motion. (3) examining user motion, classify basic motion type and making user participation behavior model in phases. Results: Through this process, user's basic twenty motions which are systematized are taken as a standard for analysis of interaction process and participation in interactive space. Then, 'NK-$I^5$ (I Five)' model is developed for user participation types in interactive space. There are five phases of user participation behavior: Imperception, Interest, Involvement, Immersion, and Influence. In this analysis, three indicators which are time, motion types, and user relationship are found to be related to participation. Conclusion: The capabilities and limitation of this research is discussed to attract user participation. This paper focuses especially on contribution of design to lead user's participation in interactive system and expectation to help adapt to user centered design of various interactive space with new aspect of user behavior research. Application: The results of the 'NK-$I^5$ (I Five)' model might help to realize successful interactive space based on user centered design.
This study aims to analyze the effects of residents participation activities on continued motivation in an urban regeneration project. For the analysis, this study was conducted the survey residents who participated in Cheongju-si urban regeneration project. Based on the survey, this study examined residents' awareness and analyzed the resident participation activities that affect the participation motivation(reward, sense of achievement, sense of expectation)through hierarchical regression analysis. The first of the results, the rewards obtained through participation activities is not affected by all resident participation activities. Second, sense of achievement obtained through participation activities such as pride or satisfaction is affected by both promotion and management of project and daily meeting activities. Finally, sense of expectation for the change of the town is only affected by daily meeting activities. These results help to find out required resident participation activities to give participation motivation inducing the continued participation in the urban regeneration project.
This paper reports the results of a field study investigating the effect of user participation and attitude on the success of information system implementation during the system development process. The theoretical framework for this research is based on the organizational change theory, in which the attitude affects the effects of user's participation. User participation and attitude were defined as independent variables and the performance of system implementation as dependent variable. User participation was defined as a direct participation by end users in the process of the new information system development. This was measured by user's participation/non-participation. User attitude refers to user's opinions or feelings before a new system is developed. This was measured by user's favor toward a system. The performance of system implementation was measured by the surrogate variable, the degree of individual satisfaction on developed system. To achieve the objective of this research, a field research method utilizing questionnaires were employed. They were distributed to 221 users present during and/or after system development. Among 185 questionnaires returned, 175 questionnaires were used for analysis. The major findings can be summarized as follows: First, there was no significant effect of user participation on user satisfaction. Second, there was a significant effect of user attitude on user satisfaction. Third, there was no significant interaction effect of user participation and attitude on user satisfaction. It is worth to note that the user's participation did not have any significant effect on the user's satisfaction. It seems the reason for the above result is due to user's involuntary participation. In fact, the user does not have much leverage in the process of system development, which may result in poor performance of user participation. Since user attitude is an important factor in the success of system implementation, however, a method to overcome unfavorable attitude of user should proceed all others.
With the pervasiveness of digital environment and expansion of new media, ICT (Information and Communication Technology) leads the role of consumer to change from a passive customer into an active co-producer. As customer participation in the fashion industry increases, this study attempts to explore the cases of customer participation as a co-producer in fashion industry through analyzing business models of companies, including Threadless, Blank label, Cut on Your Bias, Acustom Apparel, Thinkgivers. The results show that customer participation is mainly facilitated through design participation in fashion industry, with different level of participation and IT as well as different contribution target. Compared to the past, consumer’s preference is reflected through participation before the stage of production. Results indicate three main characteristics of customer participation in fashion industry. First, value co-creations using customer experiences and understanding customer needs are important. Second, active online communication among customers are critical. Third, it is important to ensure customer’s own item. From a customer perspective, participation enables them to purchase their own distinctive product and offers exciting experience and satisfaction over the production processes, and compensation can be used to increase customer participation. On the other hand, companies using customer participation can take advantage of cost reduction in product development, inventory, and marketing. Customer participation, as a win-win strategy for business and consumer, is expected to expand further in the future with the development of ICT.
Background: To investigate political participation by dental hygiene students and analyze the differences therein based on the learning efficacy of dental hygiene policy. Methods: A total of 239 dental hygiene students who were expected to graduate responded to the survey. The data were collected online using a structured questionnaire consisting of 6 items on general characteristics, 10 on political participation, and 15 on the learning efficacy of dental hygiene policy. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0. Political participation based on the learning efficacy of dental hygiene policy was analyzed using independent t-tests, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis (p<0.05). Results: Among the dental hygiene students, 60.7% voted in all three recent presidential, general, and local elections, and 14.2% did not. For political parties supported, 65.7% responded that they had "no supporting party," and 34.3% indicated that they had a "supporting party." In terms of the level of political participation of dental hygiene students (0~50 points), the average score was 25.8 points, with the average passive political participation (0~25 points) score at 15.6 points and the average active political participation (0~25 points) score at 10.2 points. With an increase in dental hygiene policy learning efficacy, both passive and active political participation showed higher scores (p<0.05). Conclusion: Dental hygiene students showed low political participation. The presence of a supporting party, higher voting participation, and higher learning efficacy of dental hygiene policy were associated with higher passive and active political participation. Therefore, to increase this population's interest in political participation, various opportunities for related learning need to be promoted and provided in academia, leading to the enhancement of their political capabilities. In this manner, dental hygienists should expand their capabilities in various roles such as advocates, policy makers, and leaders.

Purpose: This study investigated the effects of father's occupational stress and rearing attitude on rearing participation. Methods: The participants of this study were 201 fathers who are raising children in J region. The data were collected by self-report using questionnaires from August to September, 2015. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient, Scheffe test, and stepwise multiple linear regression with the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Results: The total mean scores of occupational stress on the subjects were 40.98(${\pm}8.36$), rearing attitude were $68.54({\pm}7.18$), rearing participation were $73.16({\pm}11.34$). The study showed that occupational stress is negatively correlated with rearing participation and rearing attitude positively correlated with rearing participation. Working style and rearing attitude were identified of rearing participation. Conclusion: A father's rearing participation level was influenced by father's attitude of caring children above all. In addition, fathers' working styles were also a main factor. Therefore, it is necessary for fathers to learn rearing attitudes in a way that can develop a nursing intervention program to increase their rearing participation level.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between educational satisfaction and learning participation of dental hygiene students. Method: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 344 dental hygiene students in Gyeonggido, Chungcheongdo, and Gyeongsangdo from June 2 to 24, 2014, The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects(3 items), choice reason of dental hygiene(7 items), educational satisfaction(22 items), and learning participation(11 items). The educational satisfaction and learning participation were assessed by Likert 5 points scale. Data were analyzed by a statistical package SPSS WIN 18.0. Results: Educational satisfaction included educational environments, teaching, educational content and educational effect. Learning participation included class flow, class participation and class readiness. Gyeongsangdo students tended to have higher score than other areas. The educational effect and teaching effect had more influence on learning participation. Conclusion: To improve the better dental hygiene education, it is important to prepare the effective educational methods and find out the influencing factors for class immersion.
To predict the level of residents' participation in rural tourism project, we used agent-based model. The decision-making mechanism which calculates the utility related to attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control of planned behavior theory was applied to the residents' decision to participate. As a result of the simulation over a period of 20 years, in the baseline scenario set similar to the general process of promoting rural projects, the proportion of indigenous people decreased and the participation rate decreased. In the scenarios with different learning frequencies in perceived behavioral control, overall participation rate decreased. Learning every five years had the effect of increasing the participation rate slightly. Participation rates increased significantly in the scenario that consider economic aspects and reputation in attitude and did not decline in the scenario where population composition was maintained. The virtuous cycle effect of subjective norm according to changes in participation rate due to influence of attitude and perceived behavioral control shows the dynamic relationship.
Objectives: This study was conducted to understand the effect of learners' self-determination on class participation, focusing on the feedback type of educators. Methods: A survey was conducted from May 1 to May 31 2021 on dental hygiene students, and a total of 151 valid responses were analyzed. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, self-determination, class participation, and educator's feedback type. The analysis method used correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: In relation to self-determination, class participation, and feedback type of educators, self-determination was positive feedback (r=0.338, p<0.01), class participation was corrective feedback (r=0.418, p<0.01), and positive feedback was correction (r=0.742, p<0.01). As a result of the mediating effect of the educator's feedback type in the relationship between self-determination and class participation, it was found to be significant by partially mediating positive and corrective feedback. Conclusions: It was found that the right to self-determination influences class participation based on positive feedback and corrective feedback of educators. It relates to efforts to strengthen learners' self-determination and provide appropriate types of feedback from educators.
E-participation is the term referring to the use of information and communication technologies to political participation by enabling citizens to connect with one another. Because e-participation systems are already constructed and operated, continuous usage is regarded as a major concern for successful e-participation. E-participation systems should guarantee ease of use, user satisfaction, and high quality. In addition, measuring the quality of e-participation systems will provide a useful strategy. This paper suggests a methodology for measuring quality of experience of the e-participation system and computing the quality score. We apply two concepts of usability measurement method and quality of experience that are most suitable. We provide the target of measurement,, the construct of quality of experience, the method of experiment and analysis of data, and the scoring method of quality of experience.
