When firms are confronted with IT investment decision-makings, technical or financial factors are widely considered. However, based on sociotechnical systems theory, it is argued that in addition to the traditional factors, social issues must be considered in the IT investment decision-makings. Even though the strategic criteria of social issues within organization are important for IT investment decision-makings, the social or organizational issues are hardly considered in IT implementation and adoption(Ryan and Harrison, 2000). The objective of this study is to empirically verify how the comprehensive consideration of both of technical and organizational issues related with IT investment affects firm performance through its impact on IT technical capability and IT personnel skills. Senior managers of 153 Korean firms were surveyed, and the collected data were analyzed with PLS technique. The results of the PLS path analysis show that the comprehensive consideration of the technical and social issues affected indirectly firm performance through IT technical capability and IT personnel skills. It is found that the comprehensive consideration had a significant impact on IT technical capability and IT personnel skills, and that IT technical capability and IT personnel skills affected firm performance. IT personnel was also found to affect IT technical capability. Finally, this study found that the consideration of social factors had greater impacts on firm performance than that of technical factors.
The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of organizational climate on the resource linking skills of social workers working in community welfare centers as well as the mediating effects of reflective thinking in these relationships. To test the mediating effects, we set up a research model based on previous studies on the organizational climate, resource linkage skills, and reflective thinking of social workers. The subjects of this study were social workers in community welfare centers in the Busan metropolitan city. Data were collected using mail surveys, and data from 526 respondents were used for the final analysis. The main results are as follows. First, the organizational climate of community welfare centers has a statistically significant impact on social workers' resource linkage skills. In other words, the more the social workers recognize positively about the organizational climate, the more the utilization of resource linkage skills increases. Second, reflective thinking has a mediating effect in the relationship between the organizational climate and resource linkage skills of social workers in community welfare centers. Based on the study results, practical suggestions for improved resource linkage skills and reflective thinking of social workers in community welfare centers were suggested, and practical implications and future research were discussed.

Subjects consisted of 258 mothers of 4- to 5-year-old children. The sample of mothers completed a series of questionnaires assessing their beliefs of social skills, their peer experiences, and the involvement activities of their children's peer relationships. The purpose of this study is to plan and develop contents for training social skills using robots for elementary school students. Seven functions (guiding activity, providing reinforcement, guiding students behavior, team setting, presenting team order, timer setting, and checking scores) were developed by analyzing functions that robots can take charge of in the training contents. A total of 8 sessions of social skills training contents were developed by selecting social skills required for academic achievement and social interaction of elementary school students. The lesson consisted of providing positive and negative examples, modeling, role-playing, providing feedback on performance, and encouraging generalization stages using effective strategies for acquiring social skills. After developing social skills training contents using robots for elementary school students, so-called Friendly Friends (FF), a satisfaction survey was conducted on the field application of contents and participating students and teachers to examine the acceptance pattern. As a result, it was found that the participating students and teachers were satisfied with the contents. Finally, the meaning and the expected effects of the 'FF (Friendly Friends)' contents were discussed, and also, the matters to be considered when developing social skills training contents using robots in the future were suggested.

The aim of this paper is to suggest some ways of moral education for the building of children's social awareness and relationship skills as social and emotional competencies. Based on the social and emotional learning(SEL), this paper is tried to provide the effective ways to develop children's social awareness and relationship skill. According to SEL, social and emotional competence is the ability to understand, manage, and express the social and emotional aspects of one's life in ways that enable the successful management of life tasks such as learning, forming relationships, solving everyday problems, and adapting to the complex demands of growth and development. And it is also the process of acquiring and effectively applying the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to recognize and manage emotions. Five key competencies such as self-awareness, social awareness, responsible decision making, self-management, relationship skills are taught, practiced, and reinforced through SEL programming. Moral education and social and emotional learning have emerged as two prominent formal approaches used schools to provide guidance for students' behavior. social awareness and relationship skills are necessary for succeeding in school, in the family, in the community, in life in general. Equipped with such skills, attitudes and beliefs, young children are more likely to make healty, caring, ethical, and responsible decisions and to avoid engaging in behaviors with negative consequences such as interpersonal violence and bullying.
