During the last two decades, impact factor has been widely used as a journal evaluation metric that differentiates the influence of a specific journal compared with other journals. However, impact factor does not provide a reliable metric between journals in different subject categories. For example, higher impact factors are given to biology and general sciences than those assigned to other traditional engineering and social sciences. This study initially analyzes the trend of the time series of the impact factors of the journals listed in Journal Citation Reports during the last decade. This study then proposes new journal evaluation metrics that adjust the impact factors across different subject categories. The proposed metrics possibly provides a consistent measure to mitigate the differences in impact factors among subject categories. On the basis of experimental results, we recommend the most reliable and appropriate metric to evaluate journals that are less dependent on the characteristics of subject categories.

본 연구는 화소 기반 공간메트릭스를 활용하여 대구시를 사례로 1989년부터 2009년까지 도시 녹지에 대한 공간적 변화를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 토지피복 변화탐지를 통해 대구시 녹지가 다른 토지피복으로 전환된 유형과 면적 및 공간적 분포를 분석하였다. 다음으로 국지적 차원의 공간적 변화를 도출할 수 있는 이동창 샘플링을 적용하여 크기, 형태, 응집, 다양성 관련 화소 기반 공간메트릭스를 산출하였으며, 1989년에서 1998년, 1998년에서 2009년까지 공간메트릭스 값의 변화를 차이지도로 시각화하여 종관 분석을 수행하였다. 마지막으로 대구시 시가지 개발축에 따른 녹지의 공간적 변화를 파악하기 위하여 횡단축 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 지난 20년 동안 대구시 녹지는 달성군, 성서 및 안심 등과 같은 신시가지의 택지개발지구를 중심으로 점차 파편화된 것으로 나타났다. 산림은 화원 일대의 파편화가 가장 두드러지게 나타났으며, 그 진행속도에 있어서는 칠곡 일대가 가장 빠르게 변화하였다. 초지는 많은 지역에서 그 면적과 응집지수가 감소하여 파편화가 크게 나타났으며 특히, 안심 일대의 파편화가 가장 많이 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 대구시 녹지의 양적 감소 뿐만 아니라 파편화가 진행된 지역을 도출할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 대구시가 친환경적인 도시개발정책을 수립하는데 있어 중요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

본 연구에서는 다학제적 연구가 활발해진 국내 연구의 동향을 파악하기 위하여 2020 구글 스칼라 매트릭스에 색인된 국내 주요 학술지 데이터를 활용하여 전 학문분야를 포괄하는 네트워크 분석(대학협력 네트워크, 키워드 동시출현 네트워크, 학술지 인용 네트워크, 학문분야 인용 네트워크)을 실시하였다. 대학협력 네트워크 분석결과, 서울대학교, 계명대학교, 성균관대학교 등 협력연구를 활발히 진행하는 대학을 파악할 수 있었고, 키워드 동시출현 네트워크 분석결과, 이직의도, 직무만족 등 직무관련 키워드가 높은 빈도로 나타남을 확인하였다. 학술지 인용 네트워크에서는 한국콘텐츠학회논문지, 한국사회학, 한국심리학회지: 문화 및 사회문제 등 인용이 많이 되고 있는 핵심 학술지들을 확인하였으며, 학문분야 인용 네트워크에서는 교육학, 경영학, 사회복지학이 다른 학문에 가장 많은 영향을 미치는 학문임을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 국내 계량서지분석연구에서 시도하지 않았던 구글 스칼라 매트릭스 데이터를 처음 활용하였으며, 키워드, 학술지, 학문분야로 범위를 확장시켜가며 단계적 네트워크 분석을 실시하였다는 점에서 학술적 의의를 가지며, 연구결과는 국내 대학 간 공동연구의 전략 수립 및 다학제적 융합연구 기획에 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 실질적인 함의를 시사한다.

Nowadays, people share and discuss scientific papers on social media such as the Web 2.0, big data, online forums, blogs, Twitter, Facebook and scholar community, etc. In addition to a variety of metrics such as numbers of citation, download, recommendation, etc., paper review text is also one of the effective resources for the study of scientific impact. The social media tools improve the research process: recording a series online scholarly behaviors. This paper aims to research the huge amount of paper reviews which have generated in the social media platforms to explore the implicit information about research papers. We implemented and shown the result of text mining on review texts using R language. And we found that Zika virus was the research hotspot and association research methods were widely used in 2016. We also mined the news review about one paper and derived the public opinion.

Purpose: The paper employs the theory of planned behaviour, social identity theory, social presence theory, and social exchange theory to propose a model for using the social media platform Facebook in distributing information in universities. Research design, data and methodology: Data were obtained from 618 students at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) in Vietnam. The study used structural equation modeling in SPSS and the statistical analysis software AMOS version 24 to explore the information distribution role of Facebook. Results: Findings reveal that subjective norms and social presence play a key role in driving students to use Facebook for studying. In addition, university administrators can boost student satisfaction and academic achievement through Facebook. Interestingly, students who strongly identify with the brand name of the university have a strong connection with the university are more likely to engage in behaviors supportive toward the university. Conclusions: These findings show that Facebook had played a key information distribution role in universities. Thus, the study provides the executive board of the university and teachers can gain new understanding of why students employ Facebook for studying as well as capitalize on the platform to improve several operational metrics such as brand identification, student satisfaction, and academic achievement.

This paper conducts an explanatory analysis of the web sphere produced by National Assemblymen in South Korea, using some statistical methods. First, some descriptive metrics were employed. Next, the traditional methods of multi-variate analyses, multidimensional scaling and corresponding analysis, were applied to the data. Finally, cross-sectional data were compared to examine a change over time.

Social Network Aggregators are used to maintain and manage manifold accounts over multiple online social networks. Displaying the Activity feed for each social network on a common dashboard has been the status quo of social aggregators for long, however retrieving the desired data from various social networks is a major concern. A user inputs the query desiring the specific outcome from the social networks. Since the intention of the query is solely known by user, therefore the output of the query may not be as per user's expectation unless the system considers 'user-centric' factors. Moreover, the quality of solution depends on these user-centric factors, the user inclination and the nature of the network as well. Thus, there is a need for a system that understands the user's intent serving structured objects. Further, choosing the best execution and optimal ranking functions is also a high priority concern. The current work finds motivation from the above requirements and thus proposes the design of a query processing system to retrieve information from social network that extracts user's intent from various social networks. For further improvements in the research the machine learning techniques are incorporated such as Latent Dirichlet Algorithm (LDA) and Ranking Algorithm to improve the query results and fetch the information using data mining techniques.The proposed framework uniquely contributes a user-centric query retrieval model based on natural language and it is worth mentioning that the proposed framework is efficient when compared on temporal metrics. The proposed Query Processing System to Retrieve Information from Social Network (QPSSN) will increase the discoverability of the user, helps the businesses to collaboratively execute promotions, determine new networks and people. It is an innovative approach to investigate the new aspects of social network. The proposed model offers a significant breakthrough scoring up to precision and recall respectively.

The Asia-Pacific region is not typically seen as one geographic or socio-economic space. Yet, 58 regional economies occupying the space of 28 million square kilometers from Turkey in the West, Russian Federation in the North, French Polynesia in the East and New Zealand in the South belong to the Economic and Social Commission of Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). This commission provides a forum for member states that "promotes regional cooperation and collective action, assisting countries in building and sustaining shared economic growth and social equity". In 2013, ESCAP's members adopted the Bangkok Declaration to enhance efforts towards deeper regional economic integration. Yet this document neither proposes a concrete modality or modalities of achieving deeper integration, nor provides a sense of distance of individual countries to a "perceived" integrated Asia-Pacific.This paper aims to comprehensively quantify recent integration efforts of economies in the Asia-Pacific region. We provide an "index of integration effort" based on twelve metrics that measure the relative distance of a given economy to the region as an economic entity. Generally, we find that while the region has trended towards becoming integrated in general, both the level of integration and integration effort are inconsistent among Asia-Pacific economies. We discuss potential applications and extensions of the index in developing our perspective of the region's economic and social dynamics.

The environmental, social, and governance (ESG) score is gaining recognition as important nonfinancial investment criteria. With climate change emerging as a global issue, energy companies must pay attention to the ESG impact on corporate performance. In this study, the ESG impact on the performance of energy companies was analyzed based on 23 companies selected from the S&P 500. The panel corrected standard error methodology was used. The Refinitiv ESG score was the independent variable, and financial performance metrics, such as Tobin's Q, return on assets, and return on equity, were the dependent variables. It was found that the ESG score is positively associated with long-term corporate value but not with short-term profitability in the electricity utility industry. Among the subcategories of ESG, the environmental and social scores also showed positive correlations with long-term corporate value. A direct incentive policy is recommended that can offset expenses for ESG activities to reduce carbon emission in the energy sector.
