Method: The questionnaire survey was carried out on a convenience sample of 203 middle aged in a community settings. The data analysis procedure included frequency, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regressions using health behavior as dependent variable. Result: Among the sociodemographic variables, factors such as sex, educational and eonomic levels were associated with the health behaviors. There were significant correlations between health behaviors and saliency of health, social support, and positive-stress coping behaviors. Stepwise multiple regression revealed that the factors such as positive-stress coping behaviors, saliency of health, sex, and education turned out to be significant affecting factors. Twenty eight percent of varience in health behavior was explained by these factors. Conclusion: Positive-stress coping methods were turned out to be the most important effective factors in practicing of health behaviors of middle aged. The necessity of an intervention considering the situation related to their stress and coping methods in middle aged so as to promote positive health behaviors was suggested.
So far, the environmentally responsible behavior(ERB) model has been applied successfully to explain environment behaviors. But the ERB model has several limitations such as underestimation of social factors on environment behaviors. This study planned to point out that the emotional aspects should be considered seriously for explaining human's behaviors to conserve the environment in the ERB model. In this study, the effects of emotional aspects, such as perceived severity or perceived danger, on environment behaviors were investigated and the protective motivation theory(Rogers, 1983) and the ERB-based tentative model were compared Results showed that teenagers in urban areas realized clearly the severity and danger of environmental threats and do environmentally responsible behaviors more than ones in rural areas. Two model's goodness of fit to explain observed environment behaviors were analyzed through the regression analysis and the AMOS analysis. In the regression analysis, self-efficacy, confirmity toward social norm, and knowledge were involved in the regression equation as statistically meaningful variables in the ERB-based tentative model and self-efficacy and perceived severity were involved in the protective motivation theory. Especially, the AMOS analysis showed that the protective motivation theory was more valid model lot explaining environment behaviors than the ERB-based tentative model. In conclusion, it is reasonable that emotional aspects should be considered as meaningful variables for explaining environment behaviors.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of a chorus program in a local child center regarding character, social skills, problematic behaviors, and ADHD. Subjects of this study included 24 children in elementary schools participating in the daytime programs at a local child center located in Suwon, South Korea. The chorus program was comprised of 12 sessions of 60 minutes each, conducted from April 5-July 5, 2017. Results of this study were as follows: First, during the interviews on the character of the children before and after participation in the chorus program, it was noted that the children became more active in terms of the relationships with others and leadership. However, it was also noted that children were more active at the center than they were at their schools. Second, the differences in social skills before and after the chorus program among children were significant in overall social skills and their sub-variables, indicating that there were effective in adjusting social skills. Third, the differences in problematic behaviors before and after participation in the chorus program were significant only in overall problematic behaviors and excessive behavior. This indicates that the program was effective in improving problematic behaviors, particularly for excessive behavior. Fourth, the differences before and after participation in the chorus program in terms of ADHD were statistically significant for ADHD and its sub-variables of carelessness and hyperactivity impulsiveness. This indicates that there was an overall improvement in attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Therefore, the findings in this study showed that the chorus program was effective on enhancing character, social skills, problematic behaviors, and ADHD behaviors.
This study investigated prevalence rates and differences in social behaviors, psychosocial adjustments, and language ability of preschool children who engaged in bully/victim subgroups: aggressive victims, passive victims, bullies, and non-involved. The participants were 297 preschool children and their teachers in Jeju City. The teachers measured children's peer victimization, social behaviors, and teacher-child relationships. Children's language ability and self-concept were also assessed by individual interview. There were significant differences in social behaviors, psychosocial adjustments, and language ability among the bully/victim subgroups. Aggressive victims included in a high risk group characterized by a high level of aggression, ADHD, peer rejection as well as conflicted relationships with teachers. Moreover, they had limited language ability. The findings highlight behavioral heterogeneity among the bully/victim subgroups in early childhood.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of self-efficacy and social support on health promotion behaviors of patients with stroke. Methods: A sample of 123 patients with stroke was recruited from outpatient department of a hospital. Data were collected between September and October in 2015 using Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile II (HPLP-II), the Homebound Stroke Patients' Self-efficacy, and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). Results: The mean score of HPLP-II, self-efficacy, MSPSS were 2.71 out of 4, 63.87 out of 75 and 37.91 out of 60, respectively. Multiple regression analysis demonstrated that self-efficacy and family support explained 40% of the health promotion behaviors among the stroke patients. Conclusion: The results of the study revealed that self-efficacy and family support have significantly positively correlated with health promotion behaviors. These correlates should be taken into account in the development of interventions to support patients with stoke in health behavior change.
Purpose: The objective of this study was to analyze the factors affecting the stages of exercise behaviors changes of low back pain patients. Methods: The participants in this study were 220 low back pain patients who have been treated by therapeutic exercise or had the exercise treatment under the doctor's advice. The tools used for this study were the stages of exercise behavior change, intrinsic motivation questionnaires, and physical activity social support scale (PASS). Results: The group that did exercise (preparation stage, maintenance stage, action stage) was 75.9% but the group that did not exercise (precontemplation stage, contemplation stage) was 24.1%. Social supports from family members and friends and motivation affected the exercise behaviors changes. And 34.6% of the exercise behavior change can be explained by the social support (family, friend) and motivation. Conclusion: There were two recommendations for maintaining the exercise behaviors of low back pain patients based on theoretical background. First, we recommended more exercise programs which reinforce social supports from family and friend for constant exercise behaviors of low back pain patients. Second, more exercise programs for the low back pain patients who have similar health goals or problems were needed for motivating them to join the exercise programs.

This study examined the effect of Internet exposure on plastic consumption behaviors, and the mediating effect of social norms. The survey participants in this study were 220 college students. Collected data were analyzed by the SPSS 26.0 and PROCESS macro 4.1 (model 4). The results of this study showed that the relationship between Internet exposure and intention to plastic consumption was mediated by descriptive norms. These results suggest that Internet exposure and social norms are important factors that can promote or constrain plastic consumption behaviors. Based on these results, we presented the theoretical and practical implications of this study.
Responsiveness and initiative between infant and mother from toy centered play situation at 6, 7 months of age and infant's social communication skills at 12 months were studied in a sample of 62 infant-mother pairs. Through the video analysis, infants were grouped into simple react group, cooperated group, and active initiative group. In the between groups, we analyzed whether mother's initiative act styles and response styles were different, and whether their social communication skills were different when they tested at 12 months. The results showed that mother's initiative styles were not different but mother's response styles were significantly different with infant groups. Further result showed that cooperated group gained higher score than active initiative group in the total score of Eary Social Communication Skills scales at 12 months of age. The results suggested that mother's responsive behaviors were more important than initiative behaviors for the infant's positive interaction, and the difference of these behaviors would lead to a gap of early social communication abilities.
The purpose of this study was to find about personal information security of internet and social networks by focusing on end users. User competence and subjective criterion, which are the antecedents, are affecting security behaviors For these security behaviors, the study examined the relationship between security behavior intention on internet use and security behavior intention about social network that is actively achieved in many fields. Behaviors of internet and social network were classified into an action of executing security and an action of using a security technology. In addition, this study investigated a theory about motivational factors of personal intention on a certain behavior based on theory of reasoned action in order to achieve the purpose of this study. A survey was conducted on 224 general individual users through online and offline, and the collected data was analyzed with SPSS 12.0 and SmartPLS 2.0 to verify demographic characteristics of respondents, exploratory factor analysis, and suitability of a study model. Interesting results were shown that security behavior intention of social network is not significant in all security behavior execution, which is security performance behavior, and security technology use. Internet security behavior is significant to security technology use but it does not have an effect on behavior execution.
