This study examined the social wellbeing of working mothers of preschool children with the aim of identifying relationships between social wellbeing and influencing factors, focusing on the individual, relationship, and work environment of the mothers. Data on 390 working mothers were used for this study. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 program and descriptive statistics. Pearson's correlation analyses and hierarchical regression analyses were performed. The results show that social wellbeing has significantly positive correlations with education, monthly household income, number of children, age of the first child(8 and over), social capital for childcare, division of childcare, maternal role values, spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement, and family-supportive work environment, as well as significantly negative correlations with weekly working hours, sociological ambivalence, spouse's beliefs about father's breadwinner role and gender-role values, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers. In addition, hierarchical regression revealed that spouse's beliefs about paternal parenting involvement and a family-supportive work environment were significantly positive predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing, whereas working mothers'sociological ambivalence toward their roles, job overload, and gender-role attitudes of coworkers were significantly negative predictors of working mothers'social wellbeing. These results point to ways of changing education and policy to improve the social wellbeing of working mothers.

The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between psychological wellbeing of social welfare facility workers and their organizational commitment. The subjects of this study were 230 social welfare facility workers in OO city, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Korea. Analysis was conducted using the SPSS program, including frequency analysis, reliability analysis and correlation analysis, and regression analysis on the causal relationship between variables. The results of the study showed that the psychological wellbeing of social welfare facility workers had a meaningful effect on their emotional commitment, continuous commitment and normative commitment. These results confirmed that the higher the psychological wellbeing of social welfare facility workers, the higher the sub-factors of organizational commitment, such as emotional, continuous, normative commitment, resulting in positive effects on the achievement of goals and values that are pursued by the welfare facilities. This study aims to become foundational data for the improvement of working conditions to improve psychological wellbeing of social welfare facility workers to increase organizational commitment.

This study is to test moderating effects of North Korean Refugees' coping styles in the causal relation between social support and psychological wellbeing and suggest policy implications for helping social adjustment of North Korean Refugees. For this study, 100 North Korean Refugees were sampled and surveyed. The analytical result of this study showed that the degree of psychological wellbeing was highest among the refugees of the entire families migration. Also, this study showed that the causal relationship between social support and psychological wellbeing was not significant, and moderating effects of emotional support and appraisal support were significant, while moderating effects of material support and informative support were not significant. In this study, we suggested some policy implications basing on this analytical results.

Purpose: This study was to identify the impact of spiritual wellbeing and social support on the depression among middle-aged women. Descriptive study design was used. Methods: The subjects completed the structured questionnaires: the 'Spiritual Well-being Scale', developed by Paloutzian & Ellison, 'the Social Support Scale' developed by Park, and 'the CES-D Scale' developed by Radloff. Data were collected from 216 middle aged women in B metropolitan city and J city. The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regressions. Results: Participants with higher depression had lower scores for spiritual wellbeing (r=-.57, p<.001) and lower scores for social support (r=-.49, p=.011). The influencing factors on depression were spiritual wellbeing, social support, and utilization of spare time. These variables were explained 46% of the variance in depression. Conclusion: The depression of the middle-aged women can be reduced when spiritual wellbeing and social support are improved. Therefore, we suggested to develop nursing intervention programs in order to improve spiritual wellbeing and social support of middle-aged women for reducing their depressions.

본 연구는 지역사회 거주 노인들의 사회적 배제 요인이 심리적복지감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보고, 사회적배제 요인과 심리적복지감 사이에 사회적 지지가 매개역할을 하는지를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위해 전라북도 소재 노인복지관에 등록되어 있는 노인을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 통해 자료를 수집하였으며, 260명의 설문내용으로 연구한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인의 사회적 배제 요인과 사회적지지 요인은 심리적복지감에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회적지지 요인이 사회적배제 요인과 심리적복지감 간에 부분매개효과 있는 것으로 나타났다. 종합적인 연구결과 사회적지지 요인은 노인의 심리적복지감에 영향을 미치는 사회적 배제 요인에 대해 완충역할을 하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 사회 배제적 상황에 놓여 있는 노인이라 할지라도 가족을 포함하여 이웃, 지역사로부터 사회적지지가 이루어진다면 심리적복지감이 유지될 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있는 결과이다.

Purpose: This study was done to examine whether risk of suicidal ideation in nursing students as related to social support and ego-resilience, and whether subjective wellbeing mediated the relationships. Methods: Structural equation modeling was applied to test the model in which ego-resilience and social support from family, friends, and others were considered as exogenous variables and subjective wellbeing as a mediating variable. The participants were 285 nursing students who completed self-report measures including the Suicidal Ideation Questionnaire, the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, the Ego-Resiliency Scale, and the Index of Wellbeing. Results: Results show that higher scores on family support and ego-resilience were positively associated with subjective wellbeing and negatively with suicidal ideation. Subjective wellbeing mediated the relationships between family support and suicidal ideation, and also ego-resilience and suicidal ideation. Among the three social supports, only family social support had both direct and indirect effects on suicidal ideation. Conclusion: Findings suggest that family support is a useful resource in the prevention of suicidal ideation in nursing students and building supportive relationship with family should be considered as the first step in suicide prevention strategies. Also enhancing ego-resilience could play an important role to reduce suicide risk through promoting well-being.

본 연구의 목적은 사회복지시설 종사자의 직무특성, 심리적 안녕감, 조직몰입 간의 영향관계에 대하여 분석하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 경상북도 Y시의 사회복지시설 종사자 275명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 분석방법은 SPSS 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 직무특성이 조직몰입에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 직무특성이 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향에 대해서 분석을 실시한 결과, 권력성, 조화성이 심리적 안녕감에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 자율성은 심리적 안녕감에 영향을 미치고 있지 않았다. 셋째, 직무특성이 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향에 대한 조직몰입은 부분매개효과가 나타났다는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구의 시사점은 사회복지시설 종사자의 심리적 안녕감을 위한 조직몰입 증진 프로그램 개발의 기초자료가 될 것으로 사료된다.

To improve family well-being of single-parents, the utilization of familial social resources-including formal supports, informal supports, and social capital-has become one of the most important family resource management issues. The purpose of this study was to compare the levels of familial social resources of single-parent households with those of two-parent households and to investigate the differences according to three factors, specifically poverty, family types by gender and age of parent, and householders' employment. In addition, the determinants of single-parent households' wellbeing were analyzed from two perspectives: economic wellbeing and psychological life satisfaction. Data from the 5th wave of the Korean Welfare Panel Study (KOWEPS) were used. The major findings were as follows. First, single-parent households utilized their familial social resources more actively than their counterparts, especially in terms of the formal support of child care. Second, single parent households utilized their familial social resources differently in relation to poverty, family types, and parents' employment. Third, the determinants of economic wellbeing and psychological life satisfaction were different according types of familial social resources. Based on these empirical results, policy implications for the future economic wellbeing of baby boomers were provided.

본 연구는 노인의 사회자본이 자존감과 심리적 복지감에 미치는 영향이 어떠한지를 살펴보고자 하였고, 이를 위해 부산에 소재하는 65세 이상의 노인 162명을 상대로 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 노인의 사회자본과 심리적 복지감에서는 공적신뢰가 높다고 인식할수록, 규범이 낮다고 인식할수록 그리고 여성 노인이 남성 노인보다 심리적 복지감이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 노인의 사회자본과 자아존중감의 관련성에서는 공적신뢰, 공식적 네트워크, 규범이 자아존중감에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 여성이 남성보다 자아존중감이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 연구의 함의를 논의하였으며, 추후 연구과제와 연구의 한계를 논의하였다. 특히 본 연구는 국내 최초로 노인의 사회자본과 자존감 및 심리적 복지감의 관련성을 실증적으로 파악하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

The human ecology research has focused continuously on household life and its relationships with environments. Today the household life has changed very rapidly. The human ecology takes such challenges which its academic research should focus on not only the household life but also the social environments. And the growing interest on wellbeing society persuade the professionals of human ecology to introduce the wellbeing concepts and perspectives. Therefore this study tried to reveal the effectiveness of applying wellbeing perspectives to household life and the practical orientation. The implication of this study : through the perspectives of wellbeing the human ecology could reinforce its academic status in may related fields.
