Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the factors affecting on unmet healthcare needs of married immigrant women, especially who are working in South Korea. Methods: It is designed as a cross-sectional descriptive study. We analyzed data from 8,142 working married immigrant women to the 'National Survey of Multicultural Families 2015.' Based on Andersen's health behavior model, logistic regression was conducted to determine the predictors of unmet healthcare need. Results: The prevalence of unmet healthcare needs among the subjects was 11.6%. In multivariate analysis, significant predictors of unmet needs included existence of preschooler, country of origin, period of residence in predisposing factors, monthly household income, helpful social relationship, social discrimination, Korean proficiency, working hour per week in enabling factors, and self-rated health, experience of grief or desperation in need factors. Conclusion: The association between labor-related factors and unmet healthcare needs of marriage immigrant women currently working was found from nationally representative sample. Support policies for immigrant women working more than legally defined hours and having preschooler should be supplemented to reduce unmet healthcare needs. In addition, eradicating discrimination in workplace, enlarging social relationship, and developing culturally competent nursing services tailored to health problems caused by labor are needed.
This study aimed to assess the influence of nicotine dependence with satisfaction of basic psychological needs, social support, attitude on smoking among middle school students. From Sep, 2015 to Nov, 2015, participants included 150 middle school students from D city and K province in Korea. Data for basic psychological needs, social support, attitude on smoking and nicotine dependence were collected through a self-reported questionnaire and were analyzed with independent t-test and analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. This study shows negative correlations between nicotine dependence and satisfaction of basic psychological needs(r=-.221, P=.008), competency(r=-.194, P=.021), relatedness(r=-.219, P=.009). The variables predicting nicotine dependence were satisfaction of basic psychological needs(${\beta}=.221$, p=.008). These variables accounted for 42% of the variance of nicotine dependence in smoking middle school students. Our results indicated that it is necessary to increase basic psychological needs to decrease nicotine dependence. Therefore we should develop programs in order to increase satisfaction of basic psychological needs.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of self control and social support on the mobile phone dependence in elementary school students. The subjects were 392 children(187 boys, 205 girls) in 5, 6th grade from two elementary schools in Gyeonggi-do. The mobile phone dependence was assessed by the Mobile Phone Dependence Scale(Ko Seong-Ja, 2012), self control was measured by the Self-control Scale(Nam hyeon-mi, 1999) and social support was assessed by the Social Support Scale(Han mi hyun, 1996). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson correlations and hierarchical regressions. The major results of this study were as follows: First, there was no significant difference in mobile phone dependence by sex of the children. Second, children's mobile phone dependence were correlated with self control and social support. Finally, children's self control, family support and peer support significantly explained the mobile phone dependence. But peer support appeared to have negative corelation on mobile phone dependence, but appeared to have static effect in regression result by suppressor variables. So it needs to explore statistical function of suppressor variables in follow-up studies. Also research of this study indicate that self control enhancement program should be developed and parents should communicate more frankly and affectively with their children in order to prevent children's mobile phone dependence.

That is, parenting attitudes had some effect on subjective well-being through hardiness based on social support. Finally, the needs of development about the counseling and the education contents as a special intervention was discussed, and that contents were reflected social support and hardiness to be improved. Also, limitations and implications of subsequent further study were suggested in this research.

Method: The subjects of this study consisted of 100 patients who had gastric surgery in 4 university hospitals in chungnam province. The instrument for this study was developed by the researcher based on literature through in-depth interviews. Data was collected from October 4 to October 30, 2000. Result: The results were as follows: Discharge nursing needs were classified in 8 main categories. The 8 categories were 'emotional and spiritual support', 'nutrition and diet control', 'medication', 'treatment planning and follow up care', 'activity level', 'symptom management' 'health seeking behavior' and 'social support'. The total mean score for nursing needs was 3.89. 'Nutrition and diet control' was the highest degree of nursing needs and 'activity level' was the lowest degree of nursing needs. There were significant differences in degrees of nursing needs between different ages(F=2.74, p=.048), level of education(F=2.91, p=.038) and period since diagnosis(F=4.46, p=.037). Conclusion: This study looked at 8 categories of discharge nursing needs. Patients identified 'nutrition and diet control' as the highest need and 'activity level' as the lowest need. Further research needs to be done to identify discharge educational needs for various age groups, educational level and for patients with varing lengths of diagnosis time to surgery.
The purpose of this study was to develop the framework for the relapse prevention program. The study examined interventional needs for a relapse prevention program among adult substance abusers. The total of 107 adult substance abusers were surveyed and asked about their interventional needs for the relapse prevention program. The questionnaire was developed by the researcher on the basis of several theories such as problem behavior theory, ecologica1-developmental theory, social support theory, and coping theory. Results showed that admit substance abusers wanted the program to deal with such issues related with individual, family, social skills, and drugs. The implications of study findings were discussed.
This study investigated the relationship between social support and the well-being among the unemployed. Special attention was given to the empirical tests of the main effect and the stress buffering effect of social support on the psychosocial well-being and the practical implications in developing service strategies for the unemployed. Three-hundred-Sixty-nine(369) unemployed people in Choong-ju City and surrounding areas participated to the study. The results showed that both main and direct effects were partially supported by the data. In exploring the direct effect, social support from the family showed the strongest positive effect on the well-being of the unemployed. In the test of the stress buffering effect, the results showed a marginal buffering role of social support against the negative impacts of stress. Drawn from the results, the needs for further research in investigating the social support theory were suggested and possible implications for developing social work intervention strategies for the unemployed were identified.

Methods: The participants were 128 elderly farmers who had received nerve block. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire from February to March, 2018. They were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, pearson's correlation coefficient, and linear multiple regression. Results: The score of low back pain was $6.27{\pm}1.69$ (10 points), that of social support $2.92{\pm}0.76$ (1~5 points), and that of impediment in activity of daily living $2.01{\pm}0.82$ (0~5 points). Factors affecting impediment in activity of daily living were found to include age (p=.017), daily hours of farm work (p<.001), fear for the nerve block (p<.001), low back pain (p<.001), and social support (p<.001); the explanatory power of these variables was 58.8%. Conclusion: This study has found the controllable factors affecting impediment in activity of daily living among the rural elderly engaging in farm work include low back pain, social support, and daily farming hours. Therefore, to reduce impediment in activity of daily living among them, it is necessary to develop nursing interventions that can improve impediment in activity of daily living through reduction of daily farming hours using local resources. Correlation analysis was performed to determine the general trend of the measured variables based on the collected data, simple regression analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between variables, and hierarchical regression analysis was performed to examine the moderating effect. The results of this study are as follows. First, psychological crisis was found to have a negative correlation with social participation and social work practitioners' support. Second, social worker practitioners' support between psychological crisis and social participation showed a significant moderating effect. Based on these findings, this study is significant in terms of providing needs for interventions of social support through methods such as programs for psychological support and education about social participation for divorced retired men.
