  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the leisure and social support types which affect elderly depression. The study sample comprised 275 cases, and the analysis was performed by t-test, ANOVA, multiple regression and stepwise regression on SPSS ver. 10.0. The following three principle results were obtained: First, the types of leisure and social support differed according to domographic profiles. Second, among 6 sub-factors of leisure type, sports and viewing impressions activities contributed positively to elderly depression, as did emotional and appraisement supports among 4 sub-factors of social support. Third, stepwise regression analysis, conducted to determine the effect weights of factors of leisure types and social supports, showed that emotional support, social relationships activity, and viewing impressions activity strongly affected elderly depression in the order listed. Based of these results, the study suggested methods for developing an active leisure activities program which is necessary to minimize elderly depression.

  • The purpose of this study was to classify sex role identity into groups and analyze the difference of social face sensitivity and appearance management behaviors by sex role identity. Questionnaires were administered to 306 people in their twenties and thirties living in Daegu Metropolitan City and Kyoungbuk province. The data was analyzed by using frequency, factor analysis, credibility, ${\chi}^2$-test, ANOVA, Duncan-test, and t-test. The findings were as follows. Sex role identity were classified into four groups (androgyny, masculineness, feminineness, and undifferentiation). Men in androgyny group showed the highest rate of 41.3% followed by undifferentiation(24.7%), masculineness(21.3%), and feminineness(12.7%). Women in undifferentiation group showed the highest rate of 35.9% followed by feminineness(24.4%), androgyny(23.7%), and masculineness(16.0%). Social face sensitivity were composed of four factors (consciousness of being embarrassed, social formality, other consciousness, and prestige). Appearance management behaviors were composed of six factors (skin management, fashion image management, plastic surgery management, weight management, hair management, and health management). According to the result of a significant difference between social face sensitivity and appearance management behaviors by sex role identity, male showed significant difference between the sub-variables of social face sensitivity factors (consciousness of being embarrassed, social formality, and other consciousness). Both of the male and female showed a significance of difference in consciousness of being embarrassed, and social formality. Male showed significant difference between the sub-variables of appearance management behaviors factors (fashion image management, weight management, hair management, and health management). Both of the male and female showed a significance of difference in fashion image management. Gender of twenties and thirties showed distinction between the sub-variables of social face sensitivity factors (consciousness of being embarrassed, and prestige) and appearance management behaviors (skin management, fashion image management, plastic surgery management, weight management, and hair management).

  • Among Korea's content industries, the game industry is growing in size to the extent that it can be said to be a representative export-benefiting industry. Accordingly, many users are immersed in the game, and furthermore, they are addicted. This study aims to derive factors for social game users to continue to use by identifying the factors of domestic social network game users' attachment to social network games and empirically studying the causal relationship between these factors and the intention to continue to use them through immersion and addiction. To this end, a research model was presented that applies the main variables of the attachment theory of social network game users to games. The research model of this study surveyed general college students at S University in Seoul who tended to use social network games. As a result of the study, first, it was found that perceived stability had a significant effect on immersion and addiction. Second, it was found that perceived avoidance had a significant effect on immersion and did not have a significant effect on addiction. Third, perceived anxiety was found to have a significant effect on immersion, and it was found that it did not significantly affect addiction. Fourth, it was found that immersion did not significantly affect addiction, and it was found that it had a significant effect on continuous use intention. Fifth, addiction was found to have a significant effect on the intention to continue use. Through this, social network game users' attachment to games can provide useful implications for social network game companies to become attached to existing consumers, spreading social network game users, and improving the possibility of continuous use.

  • Purpose Cyber deviance of adolescents has become a serious social problem. With a widespread use of smartphones, incidents of cyber deviance have increased in Korea and both quantitative and qualitative damages such as suicide and depression are increasing. Research has been conducted to understand diverse factors that explain adolescents' delinquency in cyber space. However, most previous studies have focused on a single theory or perspective. Therefore, this study aims to comprehensively analyze motivations of juvenile cyber deviance and to develop a predictive model for delinquent adolescents by integrating four different theories on cyber deviance. Design/methodology/approach By using data from Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey 2010, this study extracts 27 potential factors for cyber deivance based on four background theories including general strain, social learning, social bonding, and routine activity theories. Then this study employs econometric analysis to empirically assess the impact of potential factors and utilizes a machine learning approach to predict the likelihood of cyber deviance by adolescents. Findings This study found that general strain factors as well as social learning factors have positive effects on cyber deviance. Routine activity-related factors such as real-life delinquent behaviors and online activities also positively influence the likelihood of cyber diviance. On the other hand, social bonding factors such as community commitment and attachment to community lessen the likelihood of cyber deviance while social factors related to school activities are found to have positive impacts on cyber deviance. This study also found a predictive model using a deep learning algorithm indicates the highest prediction performance. This study contributes to the prevention of cyber deviance of teenagers in practice by understanding motivations for adolescents' delinquency and predicting potential cyber deviants.

Results obtained by the study were as follows: 1) 51% of the parents are having a plan for institution and most parents want other family member to take care for financial planning for their mentally disabled offsprings. 2) As a result of multiple regression for finding out factors which affect parents' permanency planning, social functioning level of the mentally disabled, parents' self-perception of being aged, help from offspring without mental disability, social support, and financial ability were statistically significant influenced factors, which has 23.3% of explanatory power. 3) As a result of step-wise multiple regression, financial ability, parents' self-perception of being aged, and help from offspring without mental disability were the most powerful influenced factors for permanency planning. 4) In case of having a plan for residential types-which are institution and community living-, parents who have a plan for the mentally disabled offsprings' future residence as community living than institution have the offsprings with more social functioning and also have more help from offspring without mental disability. Therefore, this study concluded that welfare policy for mental health and the handicapped which secure various types of community living facilities and income security is strongly needed. • Social commerce is regarded as a kind of e-commerce that utilizes social media. Considering increasing complaints around social commerce market, it is important to see customers' satisfaction level and intentions to repurchase. In this study, we examine antecedents that affect customers' satisfaction and relationship between satisfaction and intention to repurchase in social commerce market. We also use social media characteristics as moderators between antecedents and customers' satisfaction. The main results are as follows. First, except site design, most of the intrinsic factors of service quality, such as information, transaction, communication and perceived security had positive effects on customers' satisfaction. Second, all the extrinsic factors of service quality, such as discount rate, constraints, and discrimination had significant impacts on customers' satisfaction. Third, the social media characteristics could not moderate the relationship between service qualities and customers' satisfaction. Fourth, customers' satisfaction had positive effect on the intention to spread through social media. Fifth, customers' satisfaction had positive effect on the intention to repurchase. Social commerce companies need to set up strategies considering the antecedents of customers' satisfaction using these research results. They also need to secure customers that have sustainable purchasing intentions.

Age caused a significant difference in all sub-factors including physical spontaneity, social spontaneity, cognitive spontaneity, manifest joy and sense of humor and the social competence of young children. Second, the study examined the correlations among social competence, temperament and playfulness. A positive correlation was shown between overall social competence and activity; social competence was negatively correlated with shyness but positively correlated with the sub-variables of children's playfulness. Lastly, emotionality, shyness, physical spontaneity, cognitive spontaneity, and sense of humor were variables that had serious effects on the overall social competence of young children.
