  • The purpose of this study was to explore the role of professional identity as mediating variable in the relationship between job- and organization- related factors and job satisfaction. This study surveyed social workers who worked at 24 senior welfare facilities in Daegu·Gyeoungbuk province from Aug. 1. to Aug. 30. 2006. A total of 137 questionnaires were collected using on-site survey (response rate 76.7%). Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 12.0 for Windows. Descriptive analysis and frequency analysis were performed on overall measurement items and hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to test the mediating effect of professional identity. The reliability of statements was acceptable since the coefficient alphas were > .70. Results of hierarchical regression showed that professional identity was verified as a partial mediator in the relationship between factors related with job and organization and job satisfaction. As the population ages, there will be an increasing need for professional social workers effectively to work with and help care for the elderly. This study highlighted that job- and organization- related factors, namely self-regulations and social supports, are significantly related with job satisfaction of social workers. Especially, such effect was more significantly apparent in high professional identity which is playing a partial mediator. This result implies that there is potential to change work environments of social workers ensuring a delegation of power and responsibility. Therefore, efforts should be made to improve the promotion system and connect social worker as servant with community through diverse service learning programs.

In this study, political issues, education and social culture, gender conflicts and social problems were presented as major issues. And, to study the change and flow of issues, it analyzed the change of the issue by dividing it into five years. Through this, the changes and countermeasures of social issues were studied. As a result, the keywords (economy, police) that are closely related to the people's life were analyzed as keywords that are very important in our society regardless of the flow of time. • Purposes: The purpose of this study is to develop and test a possible model that investigates the relationships between green investment, CSR disclosure, social collaboration initiatives, and firm distribution performance to deal with environmental change because it's become the major stakeholder since it affects increasingly global company performance index. Research methodology: In this study a quantitative method was adopted. The 220 respondents were owners and managers of manufacturing enterprises from Indonesia. The structural equation model (SEM) was used to test the hypotheses, and the Partial Least Square (SmartPLS) was used as the data analysis tool. Findings: The study's finding shows that green investment has a significant effect on CSR disclosure, and CSR disclosure has a positive relationship with social collaborative initiatives and the firm's distribution performance. Similarly, social collaborative initiatives also significantly impact a firm's distribution performance. Limitations: This study uses variables that are still abstract and have not been able to regress the dimensions contained there into conclusion variables for each antecedent variable. In addition, this study only used a sample with a small scope, namely Central Java Province, Indonesia. Contribution: The findings of this study contribute to the body of literature in the field of organizational management and support the agency and stakeholder theories. For the practical contribution, this study provides the way to build and implement green-based investment strategies as a competitive edge and improve firm's distribution performance.

  • It is well known that health and psychosocial factors are closely associated with depressive symptoms. Due to limitations in available data and analysis methods, however, little is known about the effects of health and psychosocial factors on depression trajectory. In order to address the limitations, this study examines the predictors of depression trajectory using latent growth curve modeling involving individuals aged 60 and over who participated in the Korean Welfare Panel Study (N=4,919). Controlling for socioeconomic variables, health and psychosocial variables were cross-sectionally associated with depressive symptoms, which is consistent with previous findings. However, the effects of health and psychosocial variables on the rate of depressive symptom change varied. Health variables were significantly associated with the levels of depressive symptoms at wave 1, but these were not significantly associated with the rate of depressive symptoms change. By contrast, although psychosocial variables were significantly associated with depressive symptoms at wave 1, the effects of psychosocial variables on the rate of depressive symptom change varied. Specifically, while self-esteem and family relationship were positively associated with the rate of depressive symptom change, social relationship was negatively associated with the rate of depressive symptom change. Based on the findings, this study discussed implications for intervention and future research.
