  • This paper explores the influence of pursuing goals on customer channel preference in Chinese rural market. With the rapid change in distribution channels and increase in multi-channels, it is necessary to understand the preference for channel choice as well as product choice. This study empirically validated the conceptual framework of the relationship between the pursuing goals and customer channel choice proposed by Balasubramanian, Raghunathan, and Mahajan (2005). Based on the survey data of 232 fertilizer customers in Chinese rural market, this study explores how economic, social, and psychological pursuing goals can impact customer channel preference by mediating variables of product utility and process utility. The results indicate that pursuing goals positively related with product utility and process utility, and product / process utility can mediate the relationship between pursuing goals and customer channel preference positively. Consequently, we can conclude that customers' economic-social-psychological pursuing goals can directly influence customer channel preference via their purchase process utility and product utility. This result also implies that product utility is effective on process utility during consumer's buying decision making, and process utility and product utility are not mutually independent. Therefore, purchase process utility is a "latent driving force" on customer's channel choice decision.

The empirical results confirmed that the male beard design formated the various impressions according to the designs and their mutual relationship existed. Therefore, the beard is a symbol of maleness and an expression for the social position and personal character, whereas it possesses the very important meaning as the influencing factor on the impression's change. First, the pre stimuli were finished through the pre survey for composition of questionnaire in order to evaluate the impression after selection of experimental models and beard types for measuring instruments. Second, sixty three university students were surveyed by pre stimuli and questionnaire as pre experiment, and afterwards the measuring instruments and experimental design were revised. Third, the stimuli completed (nine beard designs) were intentionally well distributed as questionnaire by sex and ages in Seoul metropolitan and her environment. and the factorial analysis and the coefficient of Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ for reliability test were completed for questionnaire's validity using SPSS/PC+ Window Ver. 12.0.

  • As generalization of using PC and the Internet information technology (IT) users in organizations are not passive clients but active producers of information services. One of the reasons for the change of users' role is social interactions with other users and IT department staffs. That is, users can find and develop new functions and usefulness of IT, especially, Web-based ones through communication with other users or IT department staffs. The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between IT department service quality and social interactions with other users. For this purpose, we suggest a research model based on adaptive structuration theory (AST), which is to explain the changes in social structure (rules and resources) of IT by social interactions, as well as service quality theory. Our model's exogenous variable is service quality which is a second-order factor consisting of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. As endogenous variables, we adopt two variables for appropriateness of using IT, faithfulness of appropriation and consensus on appropriation. Finally, dependent variables of ow model are usefulness and ease of use which can be considered as attitude on IT as well as other variables for appropriateness. For empirical test our model is applied to users of groupware and ERP in organizations and analyzed by partial least square. In result, all hypotheses suggested in our model are supported statistically.

  • As a succeeding analysis on the variables' significance to 'Quality of Life(QOL)'(Kim, Dong-Yoon, 2012a), which has a purpose of trying to enhance the intersubjectiveness by means of quantitive methods to find the factors on the QOL, this study aims at finding the time serial change in the deciding factors to deepen the related researches on the theme. Using the similar statistical methods such as multiple regression and factor analysis for "2012 Seoul Survey" this study shows two similar points and one differentia. The similarities include the fact that five subcategories of happiness have relative statistical importance in the order of (1)financial condition, (2)health condition, (3)social activities, (4)community relationship and (5)family life and the fact that the five subcategories are conceptually different from the 5 deciding factors, which means the possibility to improve the survey design. And the difference is the 5 factors such as (1) social trust - amenities, (2)cultural life, (3)social indiscrimination - hope for elevation, (4)sharing - giving and (5)community spirit which are largely different from preceding study. Although only the first two factors have statistical significance this result has a implication that they reflect the new paradigm of social capital and the essential necessity of human survival; sharing-community-culture.

  • Unlike previous studies, this study looked at the effect of the ideological tendencies of local government heads on the social welfare budget as a longitudinal study. This study was made possible by the election of the head of a progressive group in Gumi-si, a stronghold of conservatives, after the implementation of the local self-government system. Therefore, in this study, the change process of the political ideological orientation of Gumi-si's heads and the social welfare budget by year were listed and time-series analysis was conducted using actual cases of Gumi-si, Gyeongbuk for more than 12 years. As a result of the analysis, first, as in the cross-sectional analysis, in the longitudinal study, the change in the rate of increase in the social welfare budget according to the political ideological tendencies of the head of the local government showed a meaningful difference. Second, as in the previous cross-sectional analysis, the social welfare budget increased in the year before the election. Third, the same change in the growth rate as in the second did not appear at the end of the third elected term. All studies on the relationship between the political ideological tendencies of local government heads (including local councils) and the social welfare budget have been cross-sectional. However, this study has great implications in terms of the results of the first longitudinal cross-sectional analysis.

More specifically, how social and demographic variables affect the burdens the handicapped children's siblings experience, and how such burdens affect their adjustment in school and in the family were examined. The participants of this research were 139 students in elementary schools and middle schools, who have one or more handicapped siblings. The participants were recruited through their handicapped siblings who received services from social wet(are facilities in Daejon and Chungchong area. The scales used in this study were the measurement or Burdens for Handicapped children's siblings (Lee, Yoon Hwa, 2002), FACES (Olson et al, 1986). and The Measurement of Children's Adjustment in the School (Lim Jung Soon, 1993). The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, average. standard deviation, T-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple linear regression. 'rho results show that handicapped children's siblings have no difficulty in adjusting in the family if they have a religion, an elderly mother, and a high family income. They have no difficulty in adjusting in the family and in school, as long as they have no or little negative change in family relationship, low psychological burden, and no negative relational change for the handicapped sibling. Father's age and the family income their the only factors that affect their adjustment in school.
