In this study, we intend to design a customized news service system through Deep Learning-based Social Network Service (SNS) activity analysis, applying real news and avoiding fake news. In other words, the core of this study is the study of delivery methods and delivery devices to provide customized news services based on analysis of users, SNS activities. First of all, this research method consists of a total of five steps. In the first stage, social network service site access records are received from user terminals, and in the second stage, SNS sites are searched based on SNS site access records received to obtain user profile information and user SNS activity information. In step 3, the user's propensity is analyzed based on user profile information and SNS activity information, and in step 4, user-tailored news is selected through news search based on user propensity analysis results. Finally, in step 5, custom news is sent to the user terminal. This study will be of great help to news service providers to increase the number of news subscribers.

  • This study aims to examine the effect of liquidity, activity, leverage, and profitability on firm value, as well as the effect of disclosure of corporate social responsibility (CSR), which in this study is a moderator and company size as a control variable. The sampling technique used in this study is a purposive sampling method with certain criteria, to obtain a sample of 22 LQ45 index companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2019. The data analysis method in this study used was the Multiple Linear Regression Analysis with the SPSS 18 Program. The results show that the ratios of liquidity, activity, leverage, and profitability are significant to firm value in accordance with the initial hypothesis of the study. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plays a role as a moderating variable and company size variable as a control variable on the effect of financial ratios (liquidity, activity, leverage, and profitability) on firm value. The implication of this research is that CSR has a very important role in increasing company value. To attract more investors, companies must pay attention not only to financial performance but also to social performance. Large-scale companies tend to do more CSR so that the company value will increase.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted in order to investigate the physical activities of vulnerable low-income middle-aged people and their associated factors. Methods: From a health behavior survey of 1,000 vulnerable low-income subjects from a public health center in a metropolitan city, a secondary analysis was conducted for 332 respondents who ranged in age from 40 to 64. Results: The prevalence of walking activity was 45.2% and that of moderately intense physical activity was 9.9%. Prevalence of walking activity showed a significant association with marital status (divorce/widowed/separated, OR=2.263), drinking (drinker, OR=0.430), and CES-D score (over 21, OR=0.434). Prevalence of moderately intense physical activity was greater in subjects who had two chronic diseases, compared with those who had no chronic diseases (OR=3.713). Conclusion: Findings of this study suggest a need for implementation of strategies to improve moderately intense physical activity of low-income, middle-aged people. Also, in addition to studies on socio-demographic and health status and their associations with physical activity, further studies of related factors affecting physical activity, such as self-efficacy, social support, and social networks as internal and external resources, are needed.

Data were collected by self-reported questionaires from 254 Korean elderly in seoul, from June 1 to July 15, 1998. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and correlational analysis using pc-SAS program. The Linear Structural Modeling(LISREL) 8.0 program was used to find the best fit model which predicts causal relationships of variables. The overall fit of the hypothetical model to the data was moderate[X$^2$=249.83(df=83, p=.00), RMR=.07, GFI=.90, NNFI=.92, NFI =.91]. The predictable variables of health promoting behavior of the Korean elderly were social activity. social support. self-integrity and helplessness except the perceived health status. These variables explained 17.1% of health promoting behavior of the Korean elderly.

  • The present study purported to understand the relationships between SNS appearance-related photo activity, body image and self-esteem among young women. Objectification Theory and Social Comparison Theory explain the process how young women's SNS appearance-related photo activity influence their body satisfaction through a perceived media pressure, objectification of their own bodies and appearance comparison. These process ultimately affect the self-esteem of young female users. A research model was proposed and related hypothesis were examined. We collected an online questionnaire from 400 female participants in their 20's. Data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 18.0. Structural equation modeling analyses suggested that the proposed research model provided a good fit to the data and supported most hypothesis. The results indicated that the level of SNS appearance-related photo activity significantly influences young female user's body satisfaction and self-esteem. The findings of this study were consistent with previous literature on media and body image. Limitations and future research suggestions were also described.

  • The purpose of the study is to analyze the mediating effects of self-image on the relationship between experience of discrimination and self-esteem among the elderly in Korea. Furthermore, it is to explore whether these effects are moderated by social and economic activity participation. Data were collected from a cross-sectional survey of 543 community-dwelling Korean older adults (age≥65) drawn from community and senior centers in the mid-size city in Korea. The statistical analysis was performed by a structural equation modeling using LISREL statistical program. The results are fourfold. First, experiences of discrimination exerted the negative effects on physical, dispositional, and competent self-images of the elderly. Second, dispositional and competent self-image brought down by discriminative experiences lowered the levels of self-esteem. Third, social activity participation moderated the negative effects of discrimination experiences on physical and dispositional self-images. It also moderated the effects of dispositional self-image on self-esteem. Fourth, economic activity participation did not show moderating effects on the relationship between experience of discrimination and self-images. Meanwhile, it moderated the effect of competent self-image on self-esteem. These results demonstrate that to improve self-esteem of the elderly population, social welfare policies should make effort to reduce discrimination toward the elderly. Furthermore, social welfare organizations should also try to implement diverse community based programs geared for enhancing social and economic activities for elderly. Limitations and directions for future research are also discussed.

  • Focusing on the potential impact of information and communication technology (ICT) on older adults' quality of life, this study empirically examined the influence of smartphone use in old age on life satisfaction, depression, social activity and social support of Korean older adults. In order to examine the effects of smartphone use, this study analyzed data from 630 questionnaire surveys from older adults aged 65 and over living in Seoul. The effects of smartphone use were tested using hierarchical multiple regression analysis, controlling for socio-demographic variables such as age, sex, spouse, education and income. Results showed that the effects of smartphone use on life satisfaction, depression and social activity of older adults were statistically significant. However, the effects of smartphone use on social support of older adults was not statistically significant. This study suggests that ICT such as smartphones in old age plays generally positive roles in enhancing psychological, mental and social aspects of quality of life. This implies that further practical efforts to expand the distribution and use of ICT in old age are required to improve quality of life and successful aging of older adults.
