Recently, as the number of smartphone users has been increasing worldwide, various services such as electronic payment, internet use, and financial settlement are being used as a smartphone. In addition, researches for home appliance control and automobile control using smartphone are conducted. As such, smartphone users can enjoy a more convenient life, but by hacking smartphones, tapping texts and conversations on smartphones, tracking location through spy apps, DDoS attacks using smartphones, and malicious apps When a message is received at a specific telephone number when using a micropayment, the corresponding text message is transmitted to a remote server, thereby increasing the risk of leakage of personal information and the like. Therefore, in this paper, we define the risk factors of the smartphone that are caused by the internal and external environmental, physical, contents (apps) of the smartphone through the smartphone that we use in real life, We propose a method to check vulnerability of smartphone security solution such as CC evaluation and the most effective response technique for each risk of smartphone by defining the technique.

Recently, the number of smartphone users is rising rapidly due to an influx of foreign smartphones and sales of domestic products. According to the increase of smartphone users, smartphone malwares are also increasing sharply. Hence it is necessary to protect smartphone against mobile malwares. There are device management protocols as SNMP, TR-069. But these protocols are not suitable for mobile device management because of restrictive management function and unsupported mobility. OMA DM which is a standard for mobile device management has been adopted as mobile device management protocol for most of 2G,3G. Thus it amounts that OMA DM is suitable for smartphone management system. In this paper, the mobile device management system based on OMA DM is designed. This system can remove smartphone malware by remote control.

This research examines four specific objectives: (1) identifying factors that affect Vietnamese consumer attitudes towards smartphone advertising, (2) measuring the level of impact of the factors, (3) testing the difference of attitudes among groups of consumers with different characteristics in terms of gender, age, income, and academic level, and (4) proposing some managerial implications to have better Vietnamese consumer attitudes towards smartphone advertising. The study uses the online survey form via e-mail and Facebook in a convenience sampling method; the subjects surveyed are between the ages of 18 and 35, and all are in urban areas in Vietnam, and are using smartphones and accessing the internet and other phone applications. A sample of 490 respondents were valid and used for processing. The study employs a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze exploratory factors and linear multiple regression. The results reveal that there are five main factors affecting Vietnamese consumer attitudes towards smartphone advertising positively, arranged by reduced importance: entertainment, informativeness, credibility, non-irritation, permission and control. From that, the study offers some managerial suggestions for smartphone advertisers to improve their strategies and tatics to enhance their customer service, so that the smartphone advertising can attract people and help Vietnamese consumer in their buying behavior.
This paper introduces a user-friendly PLC (programmable logic controller) monitoring and control system of heavy machinery using Android based smartphone. The proposed system will control diesel generator and many such like machine without a dedicated PC with respect to similar system and offers a new communication protocol for handling it. The smartphone controls the generator via Wi-Fi, through which it connects to the Raspberry pi which will be installed in the PLC panel to setup the communication between them. Furthermore, Raspberry pi connects to two devices, one is PLC which gives the status and current information of the machine and to ON/OFF the machine. This proposed system used RS485 as a key mediator for data exchanging between Raspberry PI(master) and PLC(slave). RS485 allows multiple devices (up to 32) to communicate at half duplex on single pair of wires and provides a long connectivity area (up to 1200 meters) as compared to another device. This proposed system specially focused on accurate data flow between smartphone and PLC panel.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to develop a smartphone app-based emergency coping education program to improve caregivers' emergency coping abilities and identify the program's effect on knowledge, attitudes and confidence in first aid. Methods: The study was conducted with 80 caregivers in elderly care facilities and home care centers. A total of 40 participants were assigned to experimental and control groups of caregivers working in elderly care facilities and home care centers using a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The data were analyzed using the 𝝌2-test and the independent t-test with the SPSS 25.0 program. Results: The experimental group had higher scores and a statistically significant increase in knowledge(t=6.26, p<.001), attitude(t=5.25, p<.001), confidence(t=3.38, p<.001) and emergency coping abilities(t=8.83, p<.001) was observed in comparison to the control group. Conclusion: The smartphone app-based emergency coping education program has proven the effectiveness of education by improving the ability of caregivers to cope with emergencies, suggesting the need to expand and apply it to more caregivers. In order to maximize the learning effect, app-based educational content should be developed in more diverse areas along with follow-up research with various education contents.

In this paper, we introduce the concept of cyber-physical intersection systems (CPIS) which interconnects roadside units (RSU) located at the intersection, on-board units (OBU) of moving vehicles, and the smartphone apps, named the Smartphone Agent (SA). At the pedestrian mode of the SA, the connectivity management schemes, such as a location update and a handover control algorithm, are proposed to better support the CPIS services while minimizing the power consumption of the pedestrian's smartphone. We develop a real prototype of the CPIS, including RSU, OBU, and the SA. Based on the numerical results collected from a pedestrian moving around the Pusan National University campus, we validate that the proposed connectivity management schemes can improve not only the power efficiency of the pedestrian's smartphone, but also the quality of the CPIS services.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the patterns of unconsciousness smartphone use by using an app and a self-administered survey on smartphone addiction comparatively and examine differences between recognition and behavior about actual smartphone use and examine how smartphone addiction influences learning. With an app installed in smartphones, this author collected and analyzed data about users' unconsciousness using patterns for a month. According to the results, there were significant differences found in users' recognition and actual time for use and also frequency of turning on the display. Also, 22% of the subjects used their smartphone over 8 hours a day, and 76% more than 5 hours. Over 95% turned on the display more than 100 times a day, and in extreme cases, they did more than 300 times. In the meantime, users not only in the smartphone addiction high risk group and the potential risk group but also in the general user group are found to use their smartphone too long and too much and frequently turn on the display. The apps that the general user group is mainly using are entertaining apps, and their school records are rather good, so excessive use does not always lead to addiction or learning disorder. Therefore, if we develop more diverse contents for learning and provide digital literacy education, smartphone use will bring more positive effects instead. In follow-up research, the app should be corrected to collect more accurate information, and as variables in personal areas, this researcher will also measure depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, and emotional control, and so on to see how they are associated with smartphone use.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate changes in gait variables depending on whether a task was performed using a smartphone while walking on a ramp. Methods: The participants of this study were 41 college students attending U University located in Gyeongju City, Gyeongsangbuk-do. In this study, gait variables were measured during ramp gait while using a smartphone to perform a task and during ramp gait without performing such tasks. In other words, four walking conditions were used: 1) walking up a ramp, 2) walking up a ramp while using a smartphone to perform a task, 3) walking down a ramp, and 4) walking down a ramp while using a smart phone to perform a task. Gait variables were measured using a gait analysis tool (Legsys; BioSensics, USA), and stride time, stride length, stride velocity, cadence, and double support were analyzed. The order of measurements was randomized to control for order effects due to repeated measurements. Results: The comparative analysis of gait variables according to the presence or absence of smartphone use during ramp gait showed that there were significant differences in stride time, stride length, and stride velocity during both ramp ascent and ramp descent (p < 0.05). In both ramp ascent and ramp descent, stride time increased when walking using a smartphone, compared to when walking without using a smartphone (p < 0.05). However, in both ramp ascent and ramp descent, stride length and stride velocity were decreased when walking using a smartphone compared to when walking without using a smartphone (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The study results showed that the use of a smartphone during walking can affect safety. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the awareness of risks associated with walking while using a smartphone, and further research needs to be conducted in various environments and with different ramps.
