  • In this study, we further study the customer's positive emotion about the impact of different inherent service climate on the emotions and satisfaction of the customers who receive the service. Through this, the purpose was to present the direction of creating a service climate. As a research method, structural equation statistical analysis, such as measurement model analysis and structural model analysis, was performed using SmartPLS (v.3.2) for data collected in surveys. Looking at the research results, first, a company's service climate has a positive (+) impact on positive customer emotions: pleasure, pleasure, and happiness. This can be interpreted as an indication that creating a business climate for service is an important factor that elicits positive emotions from customers. Second, a company's service climate and positive customer emotion also have a positive impact on customer satisfaction. Finally, when a company's service climate affects customer satisfaction, happiness has the greatest mediating effect among several parameters. This demonstrated empirically that satisfying the happy feelings of customers is the most important of the company's service climate. Since this study is aimed at a small number of restaurant companies, there is a limit to generalizing the findings and applying them to all restaurant companies. Nevertheless, it is meaningful to study the emotions of positive customers when the service climate affects customer satisfaction, and we hope that the company's analysis of service climate will continue to improve customer satisfaction through various emotional analysis as well as positive factors.

  • As a way to gather diverse information required for everyday living, the importance of social networks has been growing. Social network services have been spreading rapidly because of diffusion of the Internet, evolution of social network sites, and recognition of the importance of social networks. Recently, the social network service has been evolved based on a new paradigm, Web 2.0, pursuing participation and openness. Following the adoption of Web 2.0 technologies, the social network service allows users to make and maintain new relationships in a more convenient way. Users of the social network service tend to reveal their personal information, and share their ideas and content with other people; in the process they become aware of their existence, feel satisfaction with life and exert influence to others as a member of the society. This study uses higher order factor analysis to analyze factors that affect the intention of using the social network service. A research model was developed with second-order factors including perceived social presence, perceived gratification and perceived social influence. First-order factors are grouped by technical, individual and social factors. Smart PLS 2.0 was used to conduct empirical analysis. The analysis results supported the validity of the research model.

  • As smart tourism cities are being actively introduced, efforts are emerging to understand the current situation and devise improvements from the perspective of services actually experienced by travelers. This study aimed to present directions for improving the overall service environment of smart tourism cities by introducing the servicescape perspective. It defined servicescape elements within smart tourism cities and analyzed how tourists' servicescape experiences affect their value perception, emotions, and satisfaction. The research model was designed by dividing servicescapes into physical servicescapes (cleanliness, convenience, electrical facilities) and communicative servicescapes (aesthetics and practicality of apps). A survey was conducted on 309 tourists who visited Suwon, a smart tourism city, and analyzed using Smart PLS. The analysis results showed that among physical servicescapes, cleanliness and electrical facilities had a significant impact on the evaluation of tourist destination value, while convenience had no effect. The communicative servicescape, namely the tourism app, had a significant impact on smart tourism value and overall destination value assessment. The tourism app and smart tourism value played a significant role in increasing tourists' positive emotions and decreasing negative emotions, which ultimately affected tourism satisfaction. This study confirmed the importance of tourism apps in smart tourism cities along with the importance of basic physical environments. Through this, it provides useful implications for establishing service improvement strategies for smart tourism cities.

  • Conceptualization of store image have been suggested in the past by many marketing scholars. The dominant perspective about store image is treated as the results of a multi-attribute model. Store image is expressed as a function of the salient attributes of a particular store that are evaluated. Though, there is a little confusions about what elements compose the store image, most scholars agree that merchandise, service, atmosphere, physical facilities, comfort, and location are generally accepted elements as store image. A considerable researches support that shopping can provide both hedonic and utilitarian value. Hedonic shopping value reflects the value received from fantasy and emotive aspects of shopping experience, while utilitarian shopping value reflects the acquisition of products. These two types of shopping value can affect shopping satisfaction. This study examines the relationships among stores images(store atmosphere, salespeople services, facilities, product assortment, and store location), shopping values(utilitarian shopping value and hedonic shopping value), and shopping satisfaction based on discount stores (E-Mart, Home plus, and Lotte Mart). The author hypothesized that five store image components affect shopping values, and these shopping values affect shopping satisfaction. The author focused on the roles of perceived retail crowding between these relationships. Specifically, the author hypothesized that perceived retailing crowding moderated the relationship between shopping values and shopping satisfaction. The author also hypothesized the direct effect of perceived retail crowding on shopping satisfaction. Finally, the author hypothesized that five store image components affect directly shopping satisfaction. Research model is presented in

. To test model and hypotheses, data were collected from 114 consumers located mid-size city in local area. The author employs PLS methodology (SmartPLS 2.0) to test hypotheses. Data analysis results indicate that among five store images salespeople services, and store location affect utilitarian shopping value. Store atmosphere, salespeople services, and store location affect hedonic shopping value. Two shopping values affect shopping satisfaction. Hedonic shopping value affect more shopping satisfaction than utilitarian shopping value. Data analysis results is presented in . The author examines the moderating effects of perceived retail crowding between shopping values and shopping satisfaction. Results indicate that there are no moderating effects between shopping values and shopping satisfaction. Moderating effects of perceived retail crowding between utilitarian shopping value and shopping satisfaction are presented in
. Moderating effects of perceived retail crowding between hedonic shopping value and shopping satisfaction is presented in . The author examines the direct effect of perceived retail crowding on shopping satisfaction. Results are presented in
. The author analyzed the relationship between perceived retail crowding and shopping satisfaction using WarpPLS 3.0 which can analyze the non-linear relationship. Result indicates that perceived retail crowding affects directly shopping satisfaction and there is a non-linear relationship between them. Among five store image components, store atmosphere and salespeople services affect directly shopping satisfaction. The author describes about the managerial implications, limitations, and future research issues.
