This research explores the public's perceptions of the appropriateness of the use of robots in museums and galleries. Using data from an international survey of 1589 participants, the data show that the perceived appropriateness of robot implementation in museums and galleries is driven largely by perceptions of the usefulness and emotional skills of robotic technologies, and their perceived advantages compared to human employees. Additionally, the findings suggest that the general attitudes towards service robots in tourism shape the attitudes towards robots in museums and galleries in particular. Furthermore, the findings reveal that the demographic characteristics of visitors are not related to their perceptions of robots in museums and galleries.

In a cloud computing environment, a cryptographic service allows an information owner to encrypt the information and send it to a cloud server as well as to receive and decode encrypted data from the server which guarantees the confidentiality of shared information. However, if an attacker gains a coded data and has access to an encryption key via cloud server, then the server will be unable to prevent data leaks by a cloud service provider. In this paper, we proposed a key management server which does not allow an attacker to access to a coded key of the owners and prevents data leaks by a cloud service provider. A key management server provides a service where a server receives a coded public key of an information user from an owner and delivers a coded key to a user. Using a key management server proposed in this paper, we validated that the server can secure the confidentiality of an encryption key of data owners and efficiently distribute keys to data users.

VMS informs the public of traffic and weather information in real time and functions to facilitate traffic flow. However, as smart phone navigation becomes more popular with the rapid propagation of the smart phone, the efficiency and applicability of VMS are challenged. Accordingly, this study aims to investigate the drivers' preference for the traffic information service between VMS and smart phone navigation by conducting a survey using a stated preference in Busan Metropolitan City in August 2013. This study found that 60% of survey respondents prefer VMS to the smart phone navigation. Further analysis to investigate the preference focused on the smart phone users revealed that female, younger, more educated, and less experienced drivers more rely on the smart phone navigation. Consequently, this study implicates that private and governmental institutes have to take a measure to develop the integrated traffic information system.

As the mobile industry has developed, people have become to pursue more delicate information exchange and close relationships between individuals through it. According to such a request, Social Networking Services have been activated based on short messages. Moreover, in combination with smart phones, the needs for adding location information is recently increasing more and more. Security and Privacy problems, however, are raised because such location information is so sensitive and may be used maliciously by someone else. Especially, storing location information of family members in a public server may become a negative factor to hinder people from utilizing such services. Therefore, this paper proposes a location based SNS service using smart phones for home community that runs on a home server in a house so that relationships between family members at home may be closer and improved through utilizing the service.

This study focused on developing various application services for smart phones in the rural amenity resources information service. By developing application services for smart phones, this study aims to stimulate rural tourism and increase the rural tourism economy. The main findings of this study revealed that 'information for reports/cultural/recreational facilities, etc', 'maps for rural villages(food, attractions, etc)', 'regional weather information', 'traffic reports for rural villages(public transportation, etc)' and 'introduction of rural experiences (festivals, exhibitions, events, etc)' are preferentially needed as the contents services of the rural amenity resources. Moreover, it has been found that the types of services firstly needed to offer information of rural amenity resources include 'searching the information around me(where I am)', 'wayfinding such as navigation', 'information sharing function with messenger and SNS, etc', 'taking and editing photography', 'searching information of rural villages about festivals, events, etc'. These are the items that can be utilized in developing application services needed by information services of rural amenity resources. It is expected that the future real-time smart phone services for rural amenity resources will be able to reinforce the competitiveness of rural tourism by giving urban dwellers the chance to utilize the customized information whenever they want.

On the limited urban area, precise measurement of meteorological data is not easy for the cost problem. The facilities collecting the data require high installment costs. The mobile sources can be a solution in city region. For example, a public bus on which some meteorological sensors are installed can act as moving information gathering station. The information is gathered on a server and aggregated to generate useful information for smart phone application. To implement the services, several obstacles are exists. This paper studies on a design of this mobile meteorological information service system for urban area.

The N Screen service has been focused because of the explosive growth of Smart media. However, between content producers and service providers have been causing the copyright issue while N-Screen service providing real-time channels. Cloud services is recognized the essential IT infrastructure in the optimal smart society which is changing rapidly as a low-cost and high-efficiency. This service of starting from prominent overseas companies such as Google, Amazon, had influenced on the introduction of the service for the various policies of foreign governments, including the United States and the United Kingdom. Such countries adopt to the cloud computing and make transform to the cloud service of existing public service for the effective management of information resources. In this study, we propose a model for adoption of appropriate cloud-based public services in Korea through analyzing the foreign government case of adoption of cloud services.

In this paper, we analyze the telecom services and their socio-economic value for sharing spectrum, which is suitable to access. For this, we suggest a concept and a classification model of sharing spectrum and make a survey for analyzing the socio-economic value of spectrum, 910 MHz which is candidated for sharing between 1.4~4.5 GHz in Korea. Also, we propose mobile telecom service, WiFi, ASA, public service, M2M, and smart home and factory service as service for suitable to sharing spectrum.

According to broad spread of smart phone, interest for LBS is increasing. but the marine alert system for providing public LBS service. the practical use of LBS is weak because the range of tracking location is from 200M to 1KM in korea. This study try to research the methods for setting up LBS high definition open platform system, good operation of LBS system and improvement of public use of LBS.
