코어 다중가공에서 공구마모 예측을 위한 기계학습 데이터 분석 (Machine Learning Data Analysis for Tool Wear Prediction in Core Multi Process Machining)

  • As real-time data of factories can be collected using various sensors, the adaptation of intelligent unmanned processing systems is spreading via the establishment of smart factories. In intelligent unmanned processing systems, data are collected in real time using sensors. The equipment is controlled by predicting future situations using the collected data. Particularly, a technology for the prediction of tool wear and for determining the exact timing of tool replacement is needed to prevent defected or unprocessed products due to tool breakage or tool wear. Directly measuring the tool wear in real time is difficult during the cutting process in milling. Therefore, tool wear should be predicted indirectly by analyzing the cutting load of the main spindle, current, vibration, noise, etc. In this study, data from the current and acceleration sensors; displacement data along the X, Y, and Z axes; tool wear value, and shape change data observed using Newroview were collected from the high-speed, two-edge, flat-end mill machining process of SKD11 steel. The support vector machine technique (machine learning technique) was applied to predict the amount of tool wear using the aforementioned data. Additionally, the prediction accuracies of all kernels were compared.

  • In this study, we propose a new approach to impliment autonomous travelling of mobile robot based on obstacle avoidance and voice command. Obstacle Avoidance technology of mobile robpot. It has been used in wide range of different robotics areas to minimize the risk of collisions. Obstacle avoidance of mobile robots are mostly applied in transportation systems such as aircraft traffic control, autonomous cars etc. Collision avoidance is a important requirement in mobile robot systems where they all featured some kind of obstacle detection techniques in order to avoid colliding. In this paper it was illustrated the reliability of voice command and obstacle avoidance for autonomous travelling of mobile robot with two wheels as the purpose of application to the manufacturing process by simulation and experiments.

직접 수소화붕소나트륨/과산화수소 연료전지의 산화극 연료 조성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Anode Fuel Composition of Direct Borohydride/Hydrogen Peroxide Fuel Cell)

  • This study investigated the effect of anode fuel composition on the performance of direct borohydride/hydrogen peroxide fuel cells (DBHPFCs). The effect of sodium borohydride (NaBH4) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) concentrations on fuel cell performance was determined through fuel cell tests. Fuel cell performance increased with an increase in the NaBH4 concentration, whereas it decreased with an increase in the NaOH concentration. The anode fuel composition was selected as 10 wt% NaBH4+10 wt% NaOH+80 wt% H2O based on the fuel viscosity, electrochemical reaction rate, and decomposition reaction rate. DBHPFCs were also tested to analyze the effect of operating temperature and operation time on fuel cell performance. The present results can be used as a reference basis to determine operating conditions of DBHPFCs.

세탁기 탈수 동작 시 불평형 질량에 따른 진동 특성 분석 (Vibration Analysis of Washing Machine according to Unbalanced Mass during Dehydration)

  • In this study, vibration analysis of washing machine dehydration was carried out using laser sensors. The suspension of the washing machine was attached to a jig developed for this study. In addition, 10 laser sensors were attached to the jig. The channels of each laser sensor are composed of five channels: front, rear, left, right, and upper. Data acquisition equipment was used to obtain sensor data. The measured data were processed using signal processing, and interpolation of the data was performed using MATLAB with robust interpolation. Vibration analysis according to unbalanced mass and sensor attachment points was carried out.

  • 스마트팩토리 환경에서 사물인터넷 장치를 이용해 수집한 제조 데이터는 외부 요인에 의한 노이즈를 제외하면 대체적으로 신뢰할 수 있다. 하지만 기계적으로 수집되는 제조 데이터와 달리 현장 작업자가 직접 기록하는 공정 데이터는 오기입이나 기입 누락과 같은 문제가 발생할 수 있으므로, 인공지능 모델의 학습 데이터로 사용하기 전에 반드시 유효성을 검증해야만 한다. 본 논문에서는 MCT 머신의 전력 사용량과 작업자가 기록한 제품 생산량이 선형적인 관계가 있다는 점에 착안해 로버스트 선형 회귀를 이용하여 작업자의 이상 기록을 탐지하였다.

3D프린터와 아두이노를 활용한 교육용 휴머노이드 로봇 (Educational humanoid robot using 3D printer and Arduino)

  • 로봇의 유형중 양발로 보행하는 로봇은 만들기가 쉽지 않다. 이를 위해서는 정밀한 서보모터 설정과 다양한 동작을 제어할 수 있는 소프트웨어를 제작할 수 있어야 한다. 이 과정은 초보자에게는 매우 어렵고 로봇에 적합한 아두이노 쉴드 모양이 없기 때문에 만들기가 쉽지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 Arduino 및 plug-in type shield를 제작하는 방법을 제안하였다. 아울러 모션제어를 단순화할 수 있는 PC제어 프로그램 개발과 로봇을 제작하고, 서보모터 값을 설정하여 모션을 쉽게 제어할 수 있는 과정을 소개하였다. 이를 통해 로봇 제작에 관심을 갖고 있는 초보 개발자들에게 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

곡면 코팅 공정을 위한 수직 지향 경로 생성 알고리즘 적용에 대한 연구 (A Study on Application of Normal Oriented Path Generation Algorithm for Curved Surface Coating Process)

  • This study is normal orientation technology of slit coating equipment to improve the quality of curved displays. Currently, the demand for curved displays is increasing significantly due to advantages such as screen immersion or design in various industries. Accordingly, changes in the display coating process are essential. In the curved display coating process, unlike the existing flat coating process, the nozzle must be rotated along the curvature of the curved surface to spray the coating solution. The coating solution must be applied while maintaining a uniform thickness. If the thickness of the coating liquid applied to the target surface is non-uniform, the quality of the product may be degraded such as image quality deterioration and light spreading. This paper presents technology and experimental results for keeping the nozzle of slit coating equipment perpendicular to the curved surface and is expected to contribute to the quality improvement of curved displays.

New or Renew: Constructing Tomorrow with Kit of Parts

  • In this paper, we would like to share our ongoing research on global population and demographic shifts and the corresponding need for diverse responses. As population growth varies worldwide, the pressing issue is the current global housing shortage. The USA alone lacks 4 million homes, underlining the urgency for new construction and renewal of existing. Our focus is primarily on new building processes, which must also incorporate elements of renewal for future sustainability. Our research addresses several key questions: How will roles for construction professionals change? What should be the primary goal of the design process? What types of technologies are currently available, and which aspects of the process can be enhanced with AI? A significant part of our study is exploring sustainable building methods that reduce embodied carbon and increase speed of construction. Our goal is to extend the transition from smart homes to cities, analyzing the evolution towards smart communities and cities. A critical aspect of our research is the 'kit of parts concept, involving prefabrication and modular construction. This approach is essential for both rebuilding and new projects, potentially lowering costs in manufacturing and design for long term. Lastly, we present a detailed comparison of the construction industry with manufacturing.

항공기 부품 스마트 공장 구축 프로세스 연구 (A Study on Design and Implementation Processes of a Smart Factory for Aircraft Parts)

  • Presented in this paper is a case study of constructing a smart factory for aircraft parts. The construction procedure involves four phases. First of all, its management goals are set, and layout design and simulation are carried out in the conceptual design phase. In the detail design phase, operating scenarios for each module are written out, and probable risks are analyzed by expert groups, and then requirements for developing equipments and subsystems are determined with consideration for element technologies and their integration schemes into the smart factory. In the fabrication and installation phase, system development, equipment fabrication and installation are proceeded in a separate manner, and then integrated together subsequently. In the operation and improvement phase, the factory is stabilized, sophisticated and improved constantly during real operation.

  • Today, wearable technology products are used in a wide range of consumer, healthcare, bio-medical, and industrial applications. The market for wearable technology products is expected to increase dramatically over the next several years. In addition, concerns for safety, performance and reliability of wearable products keep increasing and will be essential for widespread acceptance in the marketplace. Wearable smart devices, which are generally in contact with the human body and skin, are exposed to the risk of the electric shock, burn, and explosion. Therefore, the standardization of wearable devices in terms of human safety and reliability should be very important. Furthermore, the development of test method and test certification of the wearable products will be one of the key technology for mass production. Such standardization and certification will help consumers to choose the safest and best quality wearable devices and allow manufacturers to prove the safety and quality of their products, thereby helping them to gain a competitive technology. This paper discusses the current status of the wearable smart devices as well as the standardization and test certification applicable to wearable technology products.
