현장 전단파 속도 프로브의 교란효과 (Disturbance Effects of Field $V_S$ Probe)

  • The shear wave velocity ($V_s$) has been commonly used to evaluate the dynamic properties of soil. The field $V_s$ probe (FVP) was already developed to assess the shear stiffness of a soft clay. The objective of this study is to investigate the disturbance effects of the FVP due to the penetration. The laboratory tests are conducted in a large-scale consolidometer (calibration chamber). The reconstituted clay is mixed at the water content of 110% using a slurry mixer. The FVP and down-hole test are carried out every 1cm interval to compare the data. In addition, two square rods with transducers are also implemented to get the reference value. The shear waves evaluated by the FVP, dow-hole tests, and reference rods are closely matched. This study suggests that the disturbance effect of the FVP due to the penetration into the soft clay soils is small enough and the $V_s$ evaluated by the FVP reflects well the in-situ characteristics. Furthermore, the combination of the FVP and down-hole test shows the possibility of hybrid equipment.

  • The solid immersion lens (SIL) based near-field recording (NFR) system is considered as one of the high density optical data storage system. For the NFR servo system, tracking servo control is a difficult technology to maintain extremely small gap between SIL and media within one twentieth. This is because the track pitch is decreased for increasing the recording density. In this paper, we propose disturbance observer (DOB) and internal model principle (IMP) for disturbance rejection due to eccentricity of disk. The performance of tracking controller using DOB is increased by about 85%, 94%, 97% using Q filters that have bandwidths of 50Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, respectively. Moreover, IMP based controller is effectively reduced the residual error.

공진조건을 이용한 미소신호 안정도 해석 (Analysis of Small Signal Stability Using Resonance Conditions)

  • Modern power grids are becoming more and more stressed with the load demands increasing continually. Therefore large stressed power systems exhibit complicated dynamic behavior when subjected to small disturbance. Especially, it is needed to analyze special conditions which make small signal stability structure varied according to operating conditions. This paper shows that the relation between small signal stability structure varied according to operating conditions. This paper shows that the relation between small signal stability and operating conditions can be identified well using node-focus point and 1:1 resonance point. Also, the weak point which limits operating range is found by the analysis of resonance condition, and it is shown that reactive power compensation may solve the problem in the weak points. The proposed method is applied to test systems, and the results illustrate its capabilities.

  • This paper presents a method about the modeling of the medium - small diesel engine for the speed control and designs the robust speed control system by the $\mu$-synthesis, which has good performance, in spite of the existence of model uncertainities and the external disturbance. We confirmed the validity of the proposed modeling method and the designed control system by $\mu$-synthesis through the experimental responses.

  • A small-signal low-frequency disturbance of the input line affects the regulated-output voltage of the series resonant converter. To mitigate the detrimental effect, the output feedback PI-controller is employed. Small-signal linear models are represented to characterize the closed loop series resonant converter system. Design equations for the PI-controller which satisfy stability and percent ripple conditions are derived from the closed-loop linear model. Experimental results are presented which show excellent correlation with theory.

  • 본 논문에서는 간단한 외란 관측 기법을 이용한 영구자석형 동기 전동기(Permanent Magnet Syncoronous Motor:PMSM)의 비선형 속도 제어 기법이 제안된다. 피드백 선형화(feedback linearization) 기법을 이용함으로써 비선형 요서가 효과적으로 제거되고 출력 오차 동특성을 선형 제어 기법에 기반하여 설정할 수 있다. 그러나 이 방식은 제어기의 파라미터들이 실제 모터의 파라미터들과 일치하지 않으면 만족스러운 성능을 기대할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 파라미터들이 실제 모터의 파라미터들과 일치하지 않으면 만족스러운 성능을 기대할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 파라미터 변동에 의한 비선형 외란을 제거하기 위해 외란 관측 기법을 이용한다. 제안한 방식에는 두개의 축소 차수 관측기만 이용되므로 관측기 설계가 상당히 간단하고 파라미터 추정을 위한 제어기의 계산량에 많은 부담을 주지 않는다. 제안한 관측기를 이용한 비선형 속도 제어 알고리즘이 파라미터 변동에 대해 상인한 제어특성을 가짐을 시뮬레이션과 실험 결과로 입증하였다.

2004년 3월 4일 대설 사례에 관한 분석과 예보를 위한 제안 (Analyses of the Heavy Snowfall Event Occurred over the Middle Part of the Korean Peninsula on March 4, 2004 and Suggestions for the Future Forecast)

  • A heavy snowfall event occurred over the middle part of the Korean peninsula on March 4, 2004. The numerical models of KMA failed to forecast this heavy snowfall event because this event was due to small scale disturbance by low lever convergence and atmospheric instability. The analyses for this heavy snowfall have been performed to give forecasters useful suggestions for forecasting heavy snowfall events in the future. The analyses for the snowfall event were recounted by the Hourly Korean Peninsula Analysis Weather Chart (HKPAWC) presenting on the KMA intranet system. We confirmed that warm air flows of low level into south central Korea in conjunction with strong southwesterly winds played important role in the heavy snowfall event. We suggested several check points to improve the forecast of heavy snowfall events in the future through the results of the analyses.

  • Liquid film thickness is measured by $moir\acute{e}$ topography which monitored liquid surface. $Moir\acute{e}$ fringe measurement techniques share the inherent simplicity found in optical interferometric techniques have the advantage of use over a greater range of displacement. $Moir\acute{e}$ fringe are the geometric interference patterns observed when two dense line grating are superposed. Light transmitted through a fixed line grating is deviated by the liquid film surface, producing a distored image of the grating. The $moir\acute{e}$ fringe produced by projection of this optically distored grating onto a second stationary grating permit visualization of the liquid surface and measurement of the liquid film thickness. This study measured the small amplitude of liquid film thickness to the $moir\acute{e}$ fringe pattern produced when spherical metal was dropped glycerin put)1 And the measurement of liquid film thickness flowing down an inclined plate are required to calculate the liquid slope in a position.

Stochastic Stability Analysis of the Power System Incorporating Wind Power using Measurement Wind Data

  • This paper proposes an alternative method to evaluate the effect of wind power to the power system stability with small disturbance. Alternatively, available techniques for stability analysis of a power system based on deterministic methods are less accurate for high penetration of wind power. Numerical simulations of random behaviors are computationally expensive. A stochastic stability index (SSI) is proposed for the power system stability evaluation based on the theory of stochastic stability and energy function, specifically the stochastic derivative of the relative well-defined energy function and the critical energy. The SSI is implemented on the modified nine-bus system including wind turbines under different conditions. A doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) wind turbine is characterized and modeled using measured wind data from several sites in Thailand. Each of the obtained wind power data is analyzed. The wind power effect is modeled considering the aggregated effect of wind turbines. With the proposed method, the system behavior is properly predicted and the stability is quantitatively evaluated with less computational effort compared with conventional numerical simulation methods.

능동 합성개구면소나에 의한 해저 소형물체 협대역 탐지 성능 고찰 (A Narrowband Detection Performance for Small Objects on Seabed by the Active Synthetic Aperture Sonar)

  • 능동 합성개구면소나에 의한 해저부설 소형물체 탐지처리 기술은 공간적 제약을 받는 소형 무인화 시스템에서 짧은 센서어레이 사용이 가능하므로 개구면 합성처리에 의해 탐지성능을 올릴 수가 있다. 하지만 플렛폼의 정속도 직선기동에 의한 제한조건은 여러 가지 외부 환경요인과 정확한 위상차 합성 처리에 있어서 많은 오차를 유발하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 시스템에 탑재되는 능동형 합성개구면처리에 대한 적용 가능성을 분석하고, 전용 시뮬레이터를 구성하여 진행경로 변동에 의해 발생되는 위상차 부정합에 따른 탐지해상도 성능변화를 비교 검토하고자 한다. 시뮬레이션은 코히어런트 초점처리 모델에 경로변동 모듈을 추가하여 실행하였으며, 결과에서 알 수 있듯이 합성개구면처리에 의한 해저 소형물체 탐지성능은 플렛폼의 경로변동에 의한 위상차 부정합 및 S/N비 변화에 의해 많은 변화가 있음을 알 수 있었다.
