  • With the arrival of the Internet age, which is characterised by interconnection, the importance of networks is increasing in entrepreneurial activities and networked incubation (NI) has emerged as a mainstream concept in business incubation (BI). However, detailed studies on operation models of NI have been scarcely conducted. In this respect, this paper suggests a knowledge-focused networked incubation (KNI) model optimised for the study BI was established by theoretical analysis, and has been applied. The initial diagnosis of the effectiveness of the KNI model was also conducted through descriptive statistics, case studies, and the Industrial Depth Interview (IDI). This study is significant in that it has elaborated an NI operation model that meets the down-to-earth needs of incubatees and also is universally applicable.

  • Since industry and technology are being developed through interactions, intellectual property (IP), which are used as a substitute for technology, are found to have a close relationship with industry. The current status of IP and the business revenue differences of enterprises of south Korea are analyzed in the disaster-safety industry. Only 2.66% out of 49,538 firms have IP, indicating that most companies do not have IP. The difference in sales due to the ownership of IP is not statistically significant in middle-standing enterprises, but that of medium and small-sized enterprises (SMEs) is statistically significant. It is also found that 17 Divisions, which have IP, out of 21 Divisions in the Disaster-Safety Industry Special Classification of Korea have higher business revenue, and 10 Divisions of those 17 Divisions indicate statistical significance. In conclusion, the ownership of IP is one of the factors affecting the difference in business revenue for SMEs in Korea, implying that it is important to focus on creating and securing IP.

  • Recently, to overcome the global economic recession and stimulate the sluggish economy, Korea government has adopted various policies designed to strengthen the innovative capabilities of its small or medium sized enterprises (SMEs). With our focus on ICT technology companies, this study empirically analyzes both the potentials and the limitations of the R&D information support programs which are part of these governmental efforts. Our goal is to generate insights and help develop policies based on evidence. In this study, we used statistics from 2014 on small or medium business technologies to analyze the effect that the government's R&D information support policy has had on the technological or economic performance of small or medium businesses. According to these research results, R&D support programs (assistance with R&D planning and provision of technological information) made available to small or medium businesses did have a significant correlation to technological investment. By contrast, R&D information supporting programs were found to have no direct, significant correlation to technological or economic performance. One exception was that programs that gained the benefits of R&D planning support did have a significant correlation to technological performance in the case of companies engaged in ICT research. The results of this study will provide various insights for policymakers designing policies to support technologically-driven small or medium businesses, including ICT-based companies. We anticipate that this study will be a particularly helpful guide to policy development for corporations or researchers that provide supportive information to small or medium businesses.

  • The damages from security accidents continue to increase as technology leaks from suppliers cause risks to the management of large companies, which are their customers, and their image and reliability to fall. However, the current industrial structure is practically impossible for large companies to form their own businesses and strategic alliances with business partners are essential, but it is changing into an industrial structure where the exchange of information is increased and the dependence of the information system is maximized, as well as legal demands and demands from stakeholders are increasing due to the complexity of the work process and the strengthening of security-related laws. The status of technology protection of small and medium-sized enterprises shows that they are not equipped with a security system due to relatively poor environment and financial difficulties compared to large enterprises, whereas the industrial structure between large and small business partners is indispensable for sharing the IT system, and the security system of large business, which is a customer company, should be improved by considering the fact that it is impossible to maintain security system between large businesses. Thus, the government intends to examine the system for shared growth of small businesses and the model for evaluating the capabilities of various agencies for information protection, and propose measures to introduce the certification system for small business partners.

Through the statistical program, the degree of the reliability analysis and the feasibility analysis were carried out. And the degree of the suitability of the structural equation model was tested. And, finally, through the research model, the hypothesis was verified and the differences between the groups were analyzed. It appeared that the factors of the reliability and the responsiveness of the service quality factor have the positive influence on the perceived value, which is a parameter. And it appeared that the materiality and the perceptual openness factors cannot have any influence. And the stability and the usefulness, which are the attributed factors of the pension service, had the positive influences on the perceived value. Finally, it appeared that the perceived value of the pension service has a positive influence on the intention to subscribe continuously. Through the results of this research, it can contribute to the invigoration of the pension service. • Recently, the aging of SME managers has emerged as a major issue in business succession. The smooth succession of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which are the industrial base of Korea, is becoming an important issue for enhancing the vitality of the national economy, such as job creation, beyond mere discussion of inheritance. At this point, this study conducted an empirical analysis on the factors affecting corporate succession intention. As independent variables, corporate Capability consisting of employee competency, marketing competency, and digital competency, human factors such as managers, successors, and third-party stakeholders, and institutional factors such as legislation, taxation, and trust were set. In addition, the effect of adjusting the sales scale was verified. To this end, a survey was conducted targeting representatives who are currently running small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The total number of valid questionnaires was 315. Based on this, an empirical analysis was conducted using the hierarchical regression method. The results of the empirical analysis are as follows. First, marketing competency and digital competency, managerial competency and successor competency, taxation and trust had a significant positive (+) effect on corporate succession intention. However, a significant influence relationship between the third stakeholder, employee competency, and corporate succession intention was not tested. Among the factors that have a significant impact, the size of the influence was in the order of taxation, successor competency, executive competency, trust, marketing competency, and digital competency. Second, the size of sales was found to moderate the relationship between the variables that had a significant effect on corporate succession intention, that is, management competency, successor competency, marketing competency, digital competency, taxation and trust, and corporate succession intention. Based on these research results, academic, practical, and institutional implications for smooth business succession are presented.
