A Study on Computer-Generated time Standard Calculations with Applications (작업표준시간산출(作業標準時間算出)의 전산화(電算化)와 적용사례(適用事例))

  • Since many small and medium sized enterprises in Korea have lack of funds to install a commercial computer packages for work standards and work scheduling. This study has been attempted to develop the computer-generated package to ease those problems. The system consisted of three major parts. The first part is a work measurement program applying W.F.(work factor) predetermined time standards for work standards. The second part is a work scheduling program which calculates each operator's machine and job allocation. The last part is a control program for the production outputs and the machine utilization monitoring. The system is programmed by dBASE III for the IBM-PC compatibles for the sake of user's conveniences.

  • Overseas expansion by small and medium-sized enterprises of the Korean software industry has been sluggish, with many SMEs lacking the necessary capabilities required for successful entry into the overseas markets. This study aims to identify the capabilities SMEs require to advance into overseas markets and develop a diagnosis model for evaluating overseas entry capability appropriate to the characteristics of SMEs. A basic research was first performed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the characteristics of the software industry, software exports, and SMEs. Based on this research, the study aimed to develop a model for diagnosing overseas entry capability of SMEs by dividing the required overseas entry capability into globalization capability in product area and internal competence from a resource-based perspective. In addition, This study aims to contribute to the success of SMEs in overseas markets by presenting a diagnosis model that evaluates the capabilities required to advance into overseas markets.

A BERT-based Transfer Learning Model for Bidirectional HR Matching (양방향 인재매칭을 위한 BERT 기반의 전이학습 모델)

  • While youth unemployment has recorded the lowest level since the global COVID-19 pandemic, SMEs(small and medium sized enterprises) are still struggling to fill vacancies. It is difficult for SMEs to find good candidates as well as for job seekers to find appropriate job offers due to information mismatch. To overcome information mismatch, this study proposes the fine-turning model for bidirectional HR matching based on a pre-learning language model called BERT(Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers). The proposed model is capable to recommend job openings suitable for the applicant, or applicants appropriate for the job through sufficient pre-learning of terms including technical jargons. The results of the experiment demonstrate the superior performance of our model in terms of precision, recall, and f1-score compared to the existing content-based metric learning model. This study provides insights for developing practical models for job recommendations and offers suggestions for future research.

  • This study analyzed the practical issues in the Serious Accident Punishment Act (SAPA) for construction sites and proposed measures to improve provisions that are detached from reality. The Act aims to prevent major accidents across various industries, with a particular emphasis on the construction sector. While the Act's intention is commendable, several significant legal flaws have emerged during its implementation. These issues were critically analyzed and strategic recommendations were proposed. Key issues include ambiguous legal definitions, the differential impact of the law on small and large businesses, and the increased administrative and managerial burdens. This study proposed specific measures to enhance the clarity of legal terminology and technology, balance the responsibilities between small and large businesses, and streamline administrative processes. Additionally, methods for effectively revising the regulations and reasonably complying with them on-site were proposed. By addressing these issues, we aim to improve the effectiveness of the law, ensure fair application, and ultimately create a safer working environment in the construction industry. The recommendations are expected to serve as valuable resources for future revisions and improvements to SAPA and contribute to the broader goal of sustainable industrial safety and development.

A Study on the Influence of Smart Factory Key Factors on Management Performance through Internal Environmental Factors in Small and Medium Businesses (중소기업에서 내부 환경요인을 통한 Smart Factory 핵심요인이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • This study is an empirical study of 'the effect of the key factors of Smart Factory on management performance through internal environmental factors in small and medium enterprises'. The purpose of the research is to verify that the implementation of a Smart Factory affects the performance of management and contribute to the continued development of the company, and to suggest the national policy of expanding the deployment of a Smart Factory. The procedures were surveyed by working-level officials of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies with a Smart Factory and statistically analyzed with the SPSS and SMART PLS. The results of the study showed that first, the environmental factors within the company had a positive effect on the key components of the Smart Factory. Second, the key factor in Smart Factory has had a positive impact on management performance. The above evidence shows that the key factors in smart factory considering the environmental factors of an enterprise affect its management performance, thus laying the theoretical foundation for the performance of smart factory construction. In the future, we will study how to build a Smart Factory.

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal the influence of Internet Characteristics on SME's IT Abilities. In order to develop the rational model, the previous studies have been reviewed. The scope of Internet characteristics can be classified into 3 categories such as innovation, market opportunity, and industry characteristics. To test the hypotheses, 200 korean small and medium sized enterprises were surveyed. Regression analysis was made. The results of this study are as follows: Internet characteristics such as innovation, market opportunity, industry characteristics have an effect on SMEs' IT Abilities.

  • According to the 2013 statistics, the small/medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) accounted for 99.9% of the Korean economy with 87.8% of employment. This simple figures also indicate SMEs export extension is a key task for the national economy stimulation and job creation. The SMEs export plunge has been affected by the European financial turbulence, US financial instability, developing countries like China entering foreign markets, a weak yen, etc. EXIM Bank, in this context, will need to take a more proactive attitude to provide trade finance by, for example, reviewing the business feasibility for SMEs with a lower credit rank or investigating importers' credit status, etc. Moreover EXIM Bank provides factoring service mostly to large companies and should lower its threshold for service provision to SMEs. Finally EXIM Bank should play more than a primary forfeiting market entity. It also needs to facilitate the secondary forfeiting market.

  • Today's new engine of economic growth is innovative technology intensive SMEs. However, they have limited access to funding because of asymmetric information problems. Sharing of SME information helps reduce information asymmetry. This paper explains the Korean system of SME technology information sharing, as well as SME credit information sharing. It also provides theoretical analysis about the effects of the SME information sharing on banks' credit analysis activities, based on Karapetyan and Stacescu (2013). Sharing of SME credit and technology information expands the data set of banks and it will enhance their credit analysis. In addition, SME information sharing increases banks' investments in credit analysis activities. To encourage SME information sharing and production, the government can subsidize the production of SME technology information.

  • Measurement is a essential part in all kinds of industry, especially in manufacturing. But until now, measurement hasn't been located to the core of manufacturing in domestic. This study suggests improvement guide line for the multilateral problems of measuring instrument operation based on the investigation of small and medium-sized enterprises. To use measuring instrument correctly, man who treat it must be accustomed with the structure, the performance, the method. The measuring instrument must be corrected periodically. The correcting-schedule is established with environments with considering accuracy, stability, purpose, condition, and frequency.

The Effect of the Vocational Training Satisfaction of Youth on their Career Adaptability to the Small Business (청소년의 직업훈련만족도가 중소기업 진로적응에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the vocational training satisfaction of youth on their career adaptability to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The questionnaires were distributed and answered by 1128 students enrolled in six vocational schools located in Seoul. Convenience sampling was used for this study. The results of this study are as follows: The satisfaction of vocational training positively influenced career adaptability; more specifically, the satisfaction of vocational training had a positive effect on the Initiative and Goal-Orientation of career adaptability. These results provide theoretical and practical implications that various vocational education programs and job experience programs are needed for the SMEs in the future.
