청소년의 손 씻기 실천 행태 분석; 청소년 건강행태 온라인 조사 2011-2013년도를 중심으로 (Behaviors of hand washing practice Korean adolescents, 2011-2013: The Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey)

  • 청소년의 건강증진을 위한 보건교육 프로그램 중 손씻기에 대한 교육을 기획하는데 있어 기초자료를 제공하고자 2011년, 2012년, 2013년의 청소년건강행태온라인조사 원시자료를 이용하여, 중학생 및 고등학생의 손 씻기 실천 행태를 분석하였다. 자료 분석은 조사에 참여한 표본이 우리나라 청소년의 대표성을 갖도록 지정된 가중치를 적용하였으며, 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도 분석 및 교차분석을 실시하였다. 우리나라 청소년의 손 씻기 실천 행태는 학교에서 식사하기 전 '전혀 씻지 않았다'로 응답한 학생수가 2011년도에 22,257명(29.4%), 2012년도 22,375명(30.5%), 2013년도 13.153(18.5%)명으로 다른 항목과 달리 계속적으로 주의깊게 관찰해야 하는 상태로 유지되었다. '학교에서 식사하기 전 전혀 씻지 않았다'는 항목에 대해 최근 3개년간의 추이를 확인한 결과 도시구분에서는 대도시와 중소도시가 군단위의 소도시 보다 유의하게 전혀 손을 씻지 않는 경향을 보였고, 학교유형에서는 여학교가 남녀 공학이나 남학교 보다 학교에서 식사 전 전혀 손을 씻지 않았다고 응답한 비율이 지난 3개년 간 계속해서 높은 경향을 보였다. 또한 학교구분에서는 중학교와 일반 고등학교가 특성화 고교보다, 성별에서는 여학생이 남학생보다, 학년 구분에서는 고학년으로 학년이 올라갈수록 '학교에서 식사 전 전혀 손을 씻지 않았다'고 응답한 학생이 유의하게 많은 것으로 나타났다. 이로써 손 씻기에 대한 학교 보건 교육 시 '식사 전 손 씻기'에 대한 교육을 특히 강조해야 하고, 학교에서 식사 전 '전혀 손을 씻지 않았다'고 응답한 비율이 높았던 인구학적 특성의 대상에 대해 보다 세심한 교육과 계속적인 관찰이 요구된다.

Relationships between milk consumption and academic performance, learning motivation and strategy, and personality in Korean adolescents

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: A healthy diet has been reported to be associated with physical development, cognition and academic performance, and personality during adolescence. This study was performed to investigate the relationships among milk consumption and academic performance, learning motivation and strategies, and personality among Korean adolescents. SUBJECTS/METHODS: The study was divided into two parts. The first part was a survey on the relationship between milk consumption and academic performance, in which intakes of milk and milk products and academic scores were examined in percentiles among 630 middle and high school students residing in small and medium-sized cities in 2009. The second part was a survey on the relationships between milk consumption and learning motivation and strategy as well as personality, in which milk consumption habits were collected and Learning Motivation and Strategy Test (L-MOST) for adolescents and Total Personality Inventory for Adolescents (TPI-A) were conducted in 262 high school students in 2011. RESULTS: In the 2009 survey, milk and milk product intakes of subjects were divided into a low intake group (LM: ${\leq}60.2g/day$), medium intake group (MM: 60.3-150.9 g/day), and high intake group (HM: ${\geq}151.0g/day$). Academic performance of each group was expressed as a percentile, and performance in Korean, social science, and mathematics was significantly higher in the HM group (P < 0.05). In the 2011 survey, the group with a higher frequency of everyday milk consumption showed significantly higher "learning strategy total," "testing technique," and "resources management technique" scores (P < 0.05) in all subjects. However, when subjects were divided by gender, milk intake frequency, learning strategy total, class participation technique, and testing technique showed significantly positive correlations (P < 0.05) in boys, whereas no correlation was observed in girls. Correlations between milk intake frequency and each item of the personality test were only detected in boys, and milk intake frequency showed positive correlations with "total agreeability", "organization", "responsibility", "conscientiousness", and "intellectual curiosity" (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Intakes of milk and milk products were correlated with academic performance (Korean, social science, and mathematics) in Korean adolescents. In male high school students, particularly, higher milk intake frequency was positively correlated with learning motivation and strategy as well as some items of the personality inventory.

대학생의 패스트푸드 소비행태에 관한 연구 (A Survey on Consumption Behaviors of the Fast-Foods in University Students)

  • 본 연구는 성별 패스트푸드의 소비행태를 조사하여 바림직한 소비습관과 축산식품 개발에 필요한 기초적 자료를 얻기 위하여 2004년 8월, 374명의 남 여 대학생을 대상으로 패스트푸드의 이용형태, 선택방법, 패스트푸드와 식생활파의 관계, 패스트푸드점의 특성 동을 설문조사하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 조사대상자의 일반적 분포는 성별로는 남학생 48.66%와 여학생 51.34%로 구성하고 있으며, 주거형태별로는 아파트가 54.81%와 단독주택이 45.19%가 거주하고 있었다. 생활지별로는 대도시 47.33%이고, 중소도시는 52.67%를 차지하고 있었다. 2. 패스트푸드의 이용형태로써 식사동반자는 남 여 대학생 전체평균은 ${\ulcorner}$친구${\lrcorner}$와 같이하는 경우가 가장 많았고(70.1%), 성별간에는 통계적으로 고도로 유의성 있게(p<0.01) 남학생보다는 여학생이 친구와 같이 이용하는 경우가 더 많았다. 1주일간 이용횟수는 전체 평균 ${\ulcorner}1{\sim}2$${\lrcorner}$ 먹는 경우가 가장 많았으나(63.9%), 안 먹는 경우도 20.1%로 비교적 많았다. 남 여 대학생간에는 통계적 유의차가 인정되지 않았다. 3. 1회 이용비용은 평균 ${\ulcorner}3,000{\sim}5,000$${\lrcorner}$ 이하라고 가장 많이 응답하였고(46.0%), 남 여 대학생간에도 통계적 유의성이 인정되어(p<0.05), 남자의 경우는 5,000원 이상이 많았으나, 여자는 3,000원이상의 비용이 가장 많았다. 1주일간의 비용은 평균 ${\ulcorner}$20,0000원 이상${\lrcorner}$이 소비되는 경우가 가장 많았고(64.2%), 남 여 대학생간에는 유의한 차이점은 없었다. 비용의 지불방법으로는 혼자 내는 경우보다 ${\ulcorner}$각자${\lrcorner}$ 내는 경우가 더 많았으며(75.4%), 남 여 대학생간 에는 고도로 통계적 유의성(p<0.001)이 인정되었다. 4. 음식선택 배경은 ${\ulcorner}$자신${\lrcorner}$이 결정하는 경우가 가장 많았고(52.1%), 선호하는 음식은 치킨, 햄버거, 피자 순이었으며, 남 여 대학생간에는 고도로 통계적 유의차(p<0.001)가 있었다. 즐기는 음료로는 ${\ulcorner}$콜라${\lrcorner}$가 가장 많았으며(46.8%), 그 다음은 사이다, 주스 등의 순으로 나타났으나, 남 여 대학생간에는 유의성있는 차이는 없었다. 음식의 먹는 시기는 점심과 저녁사이의 ${\ulcorner}$간식${\lrcorner}$이 가장 많았으며(42.2%), 남 여 대학생간에는 유의한 차이는 없었다. 패스트푸드는 많은 사람들이 ${\ulcorner}$${\lrcorner}$이 좋기 때문에 이용하며(62.8%), 남 여 대학생간에는 통계적 유의성(p<0.05)이 인정되었다. 5. ${\ulcorner}$입맛의 서구화(36.4%)와 외식을 선호(29.1%)${\lrcorner}$ 하기 때문에 패스트푸드를 이용하게 된 것으로 응답 하였으며, 남 여 대학생간에는 유의한 차이(p<0.05)가 인정되었다. 응답자의 체형은 ${\ulcorner}$적당하다${\lrcorner}$고 응답한 경우가 가장 많이 이러한 음식을 즐겨 먹었으며(49.5%), 그 다음은 뚱뚱한 경우도 비교적 많이 먹고 있었다(24.3%). 남 여 대학생간에도 통계적 유의성(p<0.05)이 인정되었다. 자신의 음식 섭취 성향은 ${\ulcorner}$골고루 먹는${\lrcorner}$ 사람이 패스트푸드를 가장 많이 먹었으며(63.4%), 남 여 대학생간에도 통계적 유의차(p<0.05)가 있었다. 6. 패스트푸드 이용자들은 남 여 대학생 평균으로 점포 중 ${\ulcorner}$프랜차이즈점(78.3%)${\lrcorner}$, 점포선택이유중 ${\ulcorner}$편리성(36.6%)${\lrcorner}$, 그리고 가격은 ${\ulcorner}$적당하기(50.3%)${\lrcorner}$ 때문에 가장 많이 이용하는 것으로 조사되었으나, 남 여 대학생간에는 모두 각각 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 발견할 수 없었다.

초 . 중 . 고등학교 비만관리프로그램 구축에 관한 연구 (The Survey on Construction of Obesity Management Program for Primary, Middle and High Schools)

  • This study attempts to develop a program for obesity prevention and management for students in primary, middle, and high school and was carried based on the program development process as suggested by Ewles and Simnett. Data were collected from September 1st to September 30th, 2000. The study method is as follows: 1) Reviewing the present obesity control programs practiced in primary, middle, and high school (196 schools total) in metropolitan, medium-sized, and small cities, 2) Surveying obesity students'(682 students total) perception of the obesity management in their school. 3) Reviewing the annual plan for obesity in primary, middle, and high schools 4) Analyzing the educational data (CD, VIDEO) for obesity The results are as below: I. The media researched related to obesity were mainly CD and video, aimed primarily primary school students and are biased in nature. 2. The results of how to manage obesity in students: the difficulty of obesity education in the primary school, is the arousal of a sense of shame among obese students and the lack of various educational data are the most. In the middle and high schools, a lack of various educational data, and no time or lack of time were prevailing concerns. Paramount in managing obesity is weight control, as answered by majority of primary, middle, and high school students. The major problem of obesity management is the non-cooperation of children. 3. Asked whether the weight controlling aspect of health care class was helpful or not, 51.4% of primary school students, and 71.6% of middle and high school students answered not. The most popular educational method used in health care class is the computer, with a 56.4% approval rating. Most 43.5% of respondents answered that they wanted the content of obesity management program to focus on how to lose weight. Therefore, based on the results, the obesity management program is constructed to the steps of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Assessment includes administering surveys on health needs among students and their parents and physique tests. Planning includes the set-up of long term and short term educational goal and the establishment of an operation system. Implementation includes education, exercise, behavior modification, and health service programs. Evaluation includes step-by-step evaluations for obesity reduction. After this study is conducted, the following should be further researched: More practical and systematic obesity management programs should be developed for the evaluation results. In addition, it is important to develop an appropriate media for obesity management the primary, middle and high school students.

떡에 대한 인지도와 기호도 및 소비행동에 관한 연구 -부산·영남지역의 대학생을 중심으로- (A Study On Consumer Awareness, Preference, and Consumption Behavior Regarding Rice Cakes - With a Focus on College Students in Busan and the Yeongnam Region -)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand consumer awareness and preference regarding rice cakes by surveying the awareness, preference, and consumption behavior of college students regarding rice cakes, and to survey their perception and usage of rice cakes, thereby using the results as basic data to establish measures to develop Korea's rice cakes. To sum up the study's results, the survey included both male (54.5%) and female (45.5%) subjects. Those aged "20 to 23" accounted for the largest share (67.9%) of total respondents, and those majoring in "humanities and social studies" comprised the largest portion (47.8%). A majority of the respondents resided in "small and medium-sized cities", and most either lived at home or lived away from their families. A majority of the subjects received monthly allowances ranging from 200,000 to 300,000 won. In order of awareness, the most well-known type of rice cake was "injeolmi (rice cake made from glutinous rice and coated with bean flour)", followed by "songpyeon (half-moon-shaped rice cake)", "garaeddeok (bar rice cake)", and "baekseolgi (steamed white rice cake)". The women were better aware of "injeolmi", "baekseolgi", and "garaeddeok" than the men, and "soemeoriddeok" was not commonly known among either gender. In terms of preferences for rice cakes, overall, the subjects liked "injeolmi" and "songpyeon" the most. However, certain differences were found in preferences for rice cakes between the men and women. The women exhibited higher levels of preference for "injeolmi" and "songpyeon" than the men. On the other hand, the men revealed higher levels of preference for "baekseolgi", "jeolpyeon", and "garaeddeok" than the women. The most common answer to important factors for popularizing rice cakes was "a diverse assortment of rice cakes", followed by "the development of creative technologies" and "the taste of rice cakes reflecting consumer needs", in order of importance. Among the important factors to popularize rice cakes, "the development of unique packaging containers for rice cakes" (p<0.05) and "the development of proper packaging materials" (p<0.05) showed statistically significant differences. In the survey of consumption of rice cakes, the most frequent answer to the question "why do you like rice cakes? was "their tastes are good" with 146 respondents, followed by "I have been eating them for long" with 115 respondents. To the question "when do you use rice cakes", the most frequent answer was "I use them in daily life" with 133 respondents, followed by "I use them at special events" with 115 respondents. The women were found to use rice cakes frequently in daily life, whereas the men used them frequently at special events. When asked whether they had the intention to use rice cakes as a meal substitute, 100 men answered that they had no intention, whereas 96 women answered that they had the intention. When asked about the type of rice cake considered suitable for a meal substitute, the most popular answer was "injeolmi" with 108 respondents, followed by "baekseolgi" with 106 respondents.

대학부속 한방병원 교직원의 안전활동에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors that Impact on Safety Activities of Personnels in Oriental Medicine Hospital of University)

  • Purposes : The purpose of this study is to identify factors that have effects on safety activities of hospital personnels by investigating causality between patient safety culture, job stress, safety system and safety activities of faculty and staff member who are working for oriental medicine hospital of university. Methodology : The subjects were 246 employees working in 4 oriental medicine hospitals of university in Daejeon and Chungcheongnam-do. The data were collected from January 16 to January 25, 2017 using a structured questionnaire. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test, ANOVA and Duncan test with SPSS 22.0 were used. Findings : The activity score for patient safety of faculty and staff member, who were experienced at job training program after joining a company and regular training course for qualification or license, was meaningfully higher than that of group who had no job training experience. The result indicated that the higher there is level of safety culture and safety system and the lower there is work stress, the more the activity has positive effect on patient safety. The level score of awareness for safety culture of faculty and staff member in C hospital, which is facing financial crisis in business circumstances recently, showed average value of 3.29. It was significantly lower than that of the other three hospital. Also, The activity score for patient safety was markedly lower than that of the other three hospital. This result become interested in the process of linking non-financial performance and financial performance. The level score of safety activity in A hospital which obtained healthcare accreditation was remarkably higher than that of the other three hospital which didn't certify healthcare accreditation. Pratical Implications : Subjects about Q.I or patient's experience management must be included in curriculum of Oriental medicine. It is necessary to get the effect of job training program for faculty and staff member through the process of preparation for obtaining healthcare accreditation. When the hospital director is appointed, it must be considered that he/she has the ability to attach importance to analysis and management of the factors creating safety accident, and has business mindset for healthcare delivery of customer- centricity. This research showed that financial performance of hospital, which of business environment is favorable; located in metropolitan city and having large scale of hospital and quality of residence rating but low-level of safety culture and safety activity, was lower than that of general hospital situated in small and medium-sized cities. More research needs to be done for answering this result.

우리나라 간호인력 수급 현황 및 향후 전망 (Current Situation and the Forecast of the Supply and Demand of the Nursing Workforce in Korea)

  • Purpose: The plan proposed by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2012 did not reflect the position of nurses and focused only on how to increase the number of nurses. There is a need for coming up with a specific and viable alternative plan considering the qualitative aspect of nursing, delegation of nursing tasks, the in-death analysis of the reasons for leaving the nursing profession, and the legal standards based on varying nursing tasks. Methods: Drawing on a review of existing literature, this report was written to examine policy directions and the factors that influence the institutional environment that regulates the supply and demand of the nursing workforce in Korea. Results: Implementing the government's plan for introducing a new type of nurse, the registered practical nurse, which generally requires a two-year associate's degree, must be reconsidered. Also, a concrete plan to make use of unemployed nurses and to close the salary gap between nurses working at hospitals in cities and those working at hospitals in rural areas must be prepared. Furthermore, there is a need for introducing a new rating system aimed at boosting the quality of nursing care in small-and medium-sized hospitals, thereby increasing the number of nursing professionals who provide high quality care. Conclusion: In preparation for expected poor quality of care and looming unemployment crisis due to the increase in the number of nursing professionals, a practical and concrete plan for the supply and demand of the nursing workforce should be made. The Korean Nurses Association should mount a profession-wide campaign to make the government formulate a new and viable policy on the supply and demand of the nursing workforce.

일부 지역 중학생들의 잇솔질 습관에 관한 연구 (A study on toothbrushing habits depending in some of middle school students)

  • Objectives : This study was carried out in order to contribute to preventing dental caries, which is the biggest disease in adolescence and to promoting oral health by implanting a right habit on oral care targeting adolescents, and further to offer basic help to proceeding with making the better health life. Methods : This study carried out questionnaire survey targeting 1,100 students of middle schools where are located in small and medium-sized cities of Gyeongnam from March 7-18, 2011. Statistical processing was performed frequency analysis and cross tabulation, by using SPSSWIN 12.0 program. Results : As for middle school students' oral health education experience, the group with educational experience was indicated to be 52.9% for girl students and 47.1% for boy students(p<.05) in case of gender. Toothbrushing time was indicated to be the highest with 25.6% in 'after having breakfast'. The appearance of toothbrushing after having lunch at school was indicated to be 53.3% for girl students and 26.3% for boy students(p<.001) by gender. The most important reason for toothbrushing accounted for 82.1% in the 1st grade, 71.1% in the 2nd grade, and 67.4% in the 3rd grade depending on school year as for the response as saying of 'aiming to prevent decayed tooth and gum disease.' Thus, the lower school year led to having indicated to be higher in response as saying of brushing teeth for preventing decayed tooth and gum disease(p<.001). As for a toothbrushing method by gender, boy students accounted for 24.2% in response as saying of 'brushing teeth freely', thereby having been indicated to be higher than 15.0% for girl students(p<.001). Conclusions : In order for toothbrushing method to be rightly practiced and habituated continuously, there will be a need of changing adolescents' awareness and of being driven systematically and continuously through oral health education. School oral health education, which can nurture right attitude and habit of oral health care, is thought to be necessarily expanded and executed.

일부 응급구조사들의 응급처치 시행내용과 관련 요인 (The Contents of Emergency Treatment Practice Conducted by Emergency Medical Technician and Related Factors)

  • 우리나라 여러 기관에 근무하는 응급구조사들의 응급처치 시행내용과 관련요인을 파악코자 2008년 6월 대한응급구조사협회에서 주최하는 보수교육에 참여한 자중 80명과 특정지역 119구급대 소속 53명, 총 133명에게 설문조사를 시행하였다. 본 연구 결과 조사대상 응급구조사들의 응급처치 내용별 빈도를 보면 생체징후감시가 가장 많았고 그다음이 산소포화도 측정, 산소투여, 지혈 및 창상처치, 심전도 감시 순으로 많았다. 응급처치 23개 전체항목 시행횟수에 통계적으로 유의한 관련요인은 거주지 구분과 자격종류이었으며 단일 응급처치항목으로서 정맥로 연결 시행횟수의 유의한 관련요인은 대상자의 성별, 정맥로 연결에 대한 중요성 인식도이었고 근무기관의 종류도 경계역에서 유의한 관련요인으로 선정되었다. 심전도 감시 시행횟수의 유의한관련요인은 대상자의 성별로 남성보다 여성이 시행횟수가 많았다. 따라서 응급구조사들의 응급처치 시행횟수를 상황에 따라 적절하게 유지케 하기 위해서는 응급구조사들의 응급처치에 대한 중요성 인식도, 응급처치에 대한 자신감 등을 향상 시킬 수 있는 노력이 이루어져야 하며 특히 남성 응급구조사, 2급 응급구조사, 중소도시에 거주하는 응급구조사들에 대한 관리 노력이 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료된다. 또한 응급구조사들의 응급처치 시행에 대한 적절성 평가와 더불어 응급구조사 역할 발전에 대한 지속적인 연구가 이루어져야 한다고 사료된다.

종합병원 내부역량이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Internal Competency on the Job Satisfaction Based on General Hospital)

  • 본 연구는 7S 모형을 이용하여 내부역량과 직무만족도 간의 구조적 관계를 분석하여 내적요인을 통한 경영성과향상 방안을 제시하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 7개의 연구가설을 설정하고 지방중소도시의 일개 종합병원에 근무하는 모든 직종의 구성원들을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 2016년 9월 20일부터 10월 20일까지 385명에게 설문을 실시하여 327매(84.9%)의 자료가 연구에 사용되었다. 내부역량이 직무만족에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실행하였다. 분석결과는 연구모형의 설명력은 69.1%를 보여 적합하였으며, 7S 요인 중 리더십 스타일(β=.392**), 조직구조(β=.129*), 구성원(β=.232**), 관리기술(β=.204*)은 직무만족에 정(+)의 영향을 나타내었다. 이는 표준화 계수 값이 증가할수록 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 전략, 시스템, 공유가치는 영향관계를 확인할 수 없었다. 일부 내부역량 요인들과 직무만족도와의 유의한 관계 확인은 내부역량이 조직의 성과향상 방안의 대안으로 활용될 수 있다. 내부역량은 설립구분, 규모, 위치 등 다양한 환경변수들의 영향을 받을 수 있다. 향후 내부만족도에 대한 내적요인과 외재요인 등으로 분리하여 측정하는 것도 더 많은 시사점을 제공 할 것이다.
