The research on the avoidance of the large-obstacles such as a wall, a large box, etc. using ultrasonic sensors has been generally progressed up to now. But the mobile robot could meet a small-obstacle such as a small plastic bottle, a small sphere, and so on in its designated path, and could be disturbed by them in the locomotion of the mobile robot. So, it is necessary to research on the avoidance of a small-obstacle. In this paper, a robot's small-obstacle perceiving system was designed and fabricated by arranging four ultrasonic sensors on the plastic plate to avoid small-obstacles. The system was installed on the upper part of the mobile robot with the slope angles between $40.7^{\circ}$ and $23.3^{\circ}$ to a horizontal line and the dynamic characteristic test of the robot was performed. As the result, it was confirmed that the mobile robot with the system could avoid small-obstacles in indoor environment safely.

This study aims to discuss issues related to small libraries by analyzing laws and municipal ordinances. It conducts an extensive literature review on the history and present conditions of small libraries and explores the characteristics of small libraries as a social movement. Based on the analysis of the Libraries Act, the legal status of small libraries are argued and other related regulation are also discussed. 114 municipal regulations which are related to small libraries are analyzed into five categories including general conditions, related laws, definitions, facilities, and workforce. As a result, the alternative strategies for legal issues on small libraries are provided in the three different aspects.

This paper describes the recognition method of small-obstacles using a camera for a mobile robot in indoor environment. The technique of image processing using a camera has been widely used for an automaton of industrial system, an inspection of inferior goods, a lookout of an invader, and a vision sensor of intelligent robot. Mobile robot could meet small-obstacles such as a small plastic bottle of about 0.5 l in quantity, a small box of $7{\times}7{\times}7cm^3$ in volume, and so on in its designated path, and could be disturbed by them in the locomotion of a mobile robot. So, it is necessary to research on the recognition of small-obstacles using a camera and program. In this paper, 2-D image processing algorism and method fur recognition of small-obstacles using a camera for a mobile robot in indoor environment was developed. The characteristic test of the developed program to confirm the recognition of small-obstacles was performed. It is shown that the developed program could judge the size and the position of small-obstacles accurately.

The purpose of this study is to propose supporting small libraries through investigating the ordinances of local governments. Based upon identifying of ordinances, there are direct and indirect supports for small libraries from local governments. Direct support is provide budget to small libraries and indirect supports are a cooperation between public library and small library, instruction for library staff, and supporting volunteers. Supporting methods for public small library are direct and indirect supports, but method for private library is indirect support.

A position of small and medium size business is increasing in the national economic. On the other hand, there are many difficulties in the small and medium size business. The most difficult problem is the financial supply for the small and medium size business. This study is analzing the financial stability ratios of the small and medium size business in comparision with financial ratios of a large enterprise and industrial average ratio. As the result, the degree of financial stability ratio of small and medium size business is lower than industrial standard ratio. While the degree of financial stability and liquidity ratios of the small and medium size business is higher than industry average ratio. the degree of dependence of borrowing of the small and medium size business is lower. Therefore, it is necessary for nation and administration organization to supply financing for the small and medium size business.

In korea, since November 1982 these two small group actvity convension (QC circle convension and Factory Saemaul activity small group convension) has been united, many problem have been disclosed that are against the basic principle more or less. Worker's small group activity is essentially, a trouble shooting oriented voluntary small group within their working place to improve the surroundings creatively. In practice. however, many group are so typical and so impetuous of the material effect that it is worried to be inclined to outform rather than contents. Effective small group activities are presumed to be successful only with labor management cooperation on the basis of human-orient management philosophy. The small group activities are also prevalent in service sector. More derivative methods have been developed and more members are willingly participating in training programs. The small group which is basically a horizontal organization unit, promptes communication within the whole organization. In consideration of the social circumstances and traditions, the flexible model of the small group activities suitable to the corporate environment, will contribute industrial development.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of Jigsaw small inquiry method on science academic achievement and scientific attitudes. For this study, two classes of six graders were divided into a research group and a comparative group. The classes were pre-tested in order to ensure the same standard. The research group had the science class with Jigsaw small inquiry method, and the comparative group had the class with a teacher centered lectures for 12 classes for 12 weeks. The Jigsaw small inquiry method was focused on the introduction stage, the whole group activities, professional group activities, restart the whole group activities, supplementary structured study guide, results announced, and excellent group rewards. To prove the effects of this study, science learning motivation was split up based on the attention power, relation, confidence, and sense of satisfaction. The results of this study are as follows. First, Jigsaw small inquiry method is effective in science academic achievement. Second, Jigsaw small inquiry method is effective in scientific attitudes. Also, Jigsaw small inquiry method was approved by students. Consequently, Jigsaw small inquiry method had the great effects on developing science academic achievement for the elementary science class. That means the science class with Jigsaw small inquiry method has potential to develop science academic achievement and scientific attitudes.

This study attempts to suggest effective strategies for small library services in Busan metro area. There has been a steady increase of small libraries that provide user friendly services for local residents. Local governments that is interested in such roles as community spaces based on the familiarity and flexibility of small libraries keep building and operating small libraries in Korea. This study, in this regard, surveyed the small libraries established and operated by a specific local government and analyzed the significance and problems in managing small libraries. In this study, we obtained data from observations, dialogues with managers and users through actual visit surveys to find out the limitations and difficulties of local small libraries.

PET allows non-invasive, quantitative and repetitive imaging of biological function in living animals. Small animal PET imaging with $[^{18}F]$FDG has been successfully applied to investigation of metabolism, receptor-ligand interactions, gene expression, adoptive cell therapy and somatic gene therapy. Experimental condition of animal handling impacts on the biodistribution of $[^{18}F]$FDG in small animal study. The small animal PET and CT images were registered using the hardware fiducial markers and small animal contour point. Tumor imaging in small animal with small animal $[^{18}F]$FDG PET should be considered fasting, warming, and isoflurane anesthesia level. Registered imaging with small animal PET and CT image could be useful for the detection of tumor. Small animal experimental condition of animal handling and registration method will be of most importance for small lesion detection of metastases tumor model.

Two new bitter-tasting cyclic peptides comprising six amino acids, namely gamakamide C and D, were isolated from cultured oysters Crassostrea gigas. Dimethylaminoazobenzene sulfonyl-amino acid analysis detected Val and Leu in gamakamide C and Ile and Leu in gamakamide D. The molecular formula of gamakamide C was determined as $C_{43}H_{60}N_{7}O_8S$ by high-resolution fast atom bombardment mass spectroscopy (HR FAB-MS) ($[M+H]^+m/z822.4200{\Delta}-2.4mmu$), and that of gamakamide D was determined as $C_{43}H_{62}N_7O_8S$ by HR FAB-MS ($[M+H]^+m/z836.4379{\Delta}-2.0mmu$). Comparison of amino acid analyses and fragment ions by MS/MS among gamakamide C, D, and E (known), the structures of gamakamide C and D were confirmed $as-{\small{L}}-Val-{\small{L}}-Met(SO)-{\small{L}}-NMe-Phe-{\small{L}}-Leu-{\small{D}}-Lys-{\small{L}}-Phe-$ and $-{\small{L}}-Ile-{\small{L}}-Met(SO)-{\small{L}}-NMe-Phe-{\small{L}}-Leu-{\small{D}}-Lys-{\small{L}}-Phe-$, respectively.
