Effect of Cattle Slurry on the Soil Charaters and Production of Forage Crop (액상구비 시용이 사료작물의 생산성과 토양 성분에 미치는 영향)

  • This experiment was carried out to determine the effect of nitrogen application level of cattle sluny(T1:150, T3:250, T53.50 kglha) and chemical fertilizer(T2:150, T4:250, T6:350 kg/ha) on the growth characteristics, dry matter yield and chemical soil property of Sorghum-Sudangrass hybrid [Sorghum bicolor L. Moench]. The results obtained are summarized as follows: Mean stem diameter was significantly increased by increasing nitrogen application level of cattle slurry and chemical fertilizer. Especially, T6 treatment was the highest as 11.1 mm, while T1 treatment w a the lowest as 0.3 mrn. According to the same level of nitrogen application, cattle slurry treaunent(T1, T3 and T5) were showed a lower mean stem hardness than chemical fertilizer treatment(T2, T4 and T6). Especially, T3 treatment was the softest at 0.7 kg/$cm^2$. The dead stubble and tiller number were increased by increasing nitrogen level of cattle slurry and chemical fertilizer(P

  • This study aims to propose a fundamental report for pozzolan reaction of discarded Bentonite by heat-treatment as concrete mineral admixture. As discarded bentonite is clay mineral to contain a great quantity a lot of $SiO_2$ and $Al_{2}O_{3}$, it is anticipated to reveal pozzolan reaction ability by heat-treatment. To find out pozzolan reaction ability of discarded Bentonite slurry by heat-treatment, the experiment is excuted Phenolphtalein test, setting test, pH test and the analysis by X-ray diffractor. As a result of this study, discarded Bentonite slurry can be utilized as concrete mineral admixture by heat-treatment and especially, pozzolan reaction ability of discarded Bentonite slurry is superior to the situation of 50$0^{\circ}C$~$700^{\circ}C$, 60min.

  • To investigate the possibility of ceria abrasive-added slurry for the oxide-chemical mechanical polishing (oxide-CMP) application, two kinds of retreated methods were introduced as follows: First, the characteristics of mixed abrasive slurry (MAS) using $CeO_2$ powder as an abrasive added within diluted silica slurry (DSS) were evaluated to achieve the improvement of removal rates and non-uniformity. Second, the control of pH level due to the dilution of slurry was examined. And then, we have discussed the CMP characteristics as a function of abrasive dispersion time.

  • This experiment was carried out to determine the effects of cattle sluny and zeolite application for the improvement of germination and establishment of grasses in infertile slopped land. The best establishment and winter survival of grasses were observed in the plot of cattle slurry application. The dry matter yield of grasses was increased by 12% in the plot of compaction + cattle slurry application when compared with control. Alteration effect of soil pH was v q high and the content of organic matter was increased by addition of the soil conditioner.

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of re-establish the amount and major compositions of slurry from swine farms. The results obtained in this study was summarized as follow; The quantity of wastewater produced from the average volume of pig slurry was $4.64{\ell}$ /head/day and $4.68{\ell}$ in spring, $4.70{\ell}$ in summer, $4.70{\ell}$ in autumn, and $4.49{\ell}$ in winter. The average moisture content of slurry was 95.5%. And the composition of pig slurry contents of N, $P_2O_5$ and $K_2O$, were 0.27, 0.20 and 0.17% in slurry, respectively. The water pollutant concentration in slurry of swine farms, $BOD_5,\;COD_{MN}$, SS, T-N and T-P, was $21,856mg/{\ell},\;33,883mg/{\ell},\;41,253mg/{\ell},\;2,869mg/{\ell}$ and $565mg/{\ell}$, respectively.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of various cropping system applied with cattle slurry on productivity of sorghum $\times$ sudangrass hybrid (SSH) and environmental pollution in paddy land. cropping systems used in this study were consisted of two designs, such as double-cropping sorghum $\times$ sudangrass hybrid followed by whole crop barley applied with cattle slurry (DSSCS) and mono-cropping sorghum $\times$ sudangrass hybrid followed by hairy vetch used as green manure (MSSGM). The field experiments were conducted on the clay loam at Backsanmyun, Kimje, Chunlabukdo province in Korea for three years (May 2006 to Apr. 2009). This study was arranged in completely randomized design with three replicates. The yield of dry matter (DM) of SSH in DSSCS increased significantly as compared with that of MSSGM (P<0.05). The contents of crude protein (CP), acid detergent fiber (ADF), neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and total digestible nutrients (TDN) of SSH were not influenced by cattle slurry and green manure. The pH, and contents of OM, T-N and $P_2O_5$ in soil samples collected from DSSCS after the end of experiment were higher than those of MSSGM. The pH, and contents of OM in DSSCS treatment were remarkably higher than those at the beginning of the experiment (p<0.05). However, The pH, and contents of OM in MSSGM treatment were hardly influenced, as compared with those at the beginning of the experiment. The contents of T-N in soil samples collected both from DSSCS snd MSSGM treatments were remarkably higher than those at the beginning of the experiment (p<0.05). In addition, the concentrations of CEC in soil samples collected at the end of the experiment were remarkably higher than those at the beginning of the experiment (p<0.05). The concentrations of $NO_3$-N, $NH_3$-N and $PO_4$-P in leaching water were hardly influenced by the cropping system and application of cattle slurry.

  • Chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) process has been widely used to planarize dielectric layers, which can be applied to the integrated circuits for sub-micron technology. Despite the increased use of CMP process, it is difficult to accomplish the global planarization of in the defect-free inter-level dielectrics (ILD). In this paper, we have investigated slurry properties and CMP performance of silicon dioxide (oxide) as a function of different temperature of slurry. Thermal effects on the silica slurry properties such as pH, particle size, conductivity and zeta potential were studied. Moreover, the relationship between the removal rate (RR) with WIWNU and slurry properties caused by changes of temperature were investigated. Therefore, the understanding of these temperature effects provides a foundation to optimize an oxide CMP Process for ULSI multi-level interconnection technology.

  • 최근 DRAM 소자 내에서 Ruthenium (Ru) 은 높은 화학적 안정성, 누설전류에 대한 높은 저항성, 고유전체와의 높은 안정성등과 같은 특성으로 인해 금속층-유전막(insulator)-금속층 캐패시터에 대한 하부전극으로 각광받고 있다. 일반적으로 Ru은 화학적으로 매우 안정하여 습식 식각으로 제거하기 어려우며, 이로인해 건식 식각을 이용하여 Ru을 제거하는 것이 널리 통용되고 있다. 하지만 칵 캐패시터의 분리를 위해 Ru을 건식 식각할 경우, 유독한 $Ru0_4$ 가스가 발생할 수 있으며 Ru 하부전극의 탈균일한 표면과 몰드 산화막의 손실을 유발할 수 있다. 이로인해 각 캐패시터간의 분리와 평탄화를 위해 CMP 공정이 도입되게 되었다. 이러한 CMP 공정에 공급되는 슬러리에는 부식액, pH 적정제, 연마입자등이 첨가되는데 이때 연마입자가 응집하여 슬러리의 분산 안정성 저하에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 그리하여 본 연구에서는 Ru CMP Slurry에서의 surfactant와 같은 첨가제에 따른 zeta potential, particle size, sedimentation의 분석을 통해 slurry 안정성에 대란 영향을 살펴보았다. 또한 선택된 surfactant가 첨가된 Ru CMP Slurry를 제조하여 Ru의 removal rate와 TEOS에 대한 selectivity를 측정해 보았다.

A Study on the Corrosion Effects by Addition of Complexing Agent in the Copper CMP Process

  • Copper CMP in terms of the effect of slurry chemicals (oxidizer, corrosion inhibitor, complexing agent) on the process characteristics has been performed. Corrosion inhibitors, benzotriazole (BTA) and tolytriazol (TTA) were used to control the removal rate and avoid isotropic etching. When complexing agent is added with H$_2$O$_2$ 2 wt% in the slurry, the corrosion rate was presented very well. In the case of complexing agent, it was estimated that the proper concentration is 1 wt%, because the addition of tartaric acid to alumina slurry causes low pH and the slurry dispersion stability become unstable. There was not much change of the removal rate. It was assumed that BTA 0.05 wt% is suitable. Most of all, it was appeared that BTA is possible to be replaced by TTA. TTA was distinguished for the effect among complexing agents.

A Continuous Process for Phosphorus Recovery from Swine Slurry with Forming Struvite (양돈액비에서 Struvite 형성으로 연속적 인의 회수기술)

  • This study was carried out to develop a continuous process for recovering phosphorus in swine slurry. Magnesium chloride ($MgCl_2$) was used in the test as a magnesium source and the pH was regulated by adding NaOH and aerating. The results showed that the recovery rate of soluble phosphorus (SP) has increased with the molar ratios increased. In case of pH regulated with NaOH, the recovery rates of SP with molar ratio of 1:1.5 were over 95% from both farms. The removal of ammonia-nitrogen was at levels of $4{\sim}9%$. With aeration treatment, the SP recovery rate was 66% and the removal rate of ammonia-nitrogen was 15%. The treatment of NaOH to increase pH showed better SP recovery efficiency than the aeation treatment. However, in case of ammonia-nitrogen removal, the treatment of aeration showed better results than the NaOH treatment.
