호스지표살포기의 악취감소효과 분석 (Effect of the Hose Slurry Spreader on Oder Reduction)

  • For the odor test, it was chosen the conventional spreader, the hose spreader, and its combination with disk harrow and spring harrow as a slurry spreader. By the odor tester (Kalmor-$\sum$) with dairy slurry, the conventional spreader has the average $\sum$ value of 270, which means that one fells substantial odor and torment. In the cases of hose spreader and its combination with disk harrow, $\sum$ value was 217 and 182 respectively, which means a normal person does not smell any odor. Spreading the swine slurry with a conventional spreader shows $\sum$ value of 440, which means one feels unpleasant. The hose spreader shows $\sum$ value of 258, which lies in the limit one feels some odor and torment. Its combination with disk harrow has $\sum$ value 184, which means that a normal person can not smell any more. For the conventional spreader, the odor intensity indices from air dilution sensual test and 3 point odor bag as a sensual test were 66.9 and 35.4 respectively. On the other hand, the indices were 9.65 and 11.10 by hose spreader and its combination with disk harrow, which were lower than that of the regulation for industry. Therefore, the developed hose spreader showed an excellent effect on decreasing odor. The correlation between the results from odor tester and 3 point odor bag has shown 0.997 by swine slurry.

SLURRY UTILIZATION SYSTEM IN THE PADDY FIELD

  • To improve the uniformity of slurry spreading and to reduce the odor problem, a hose slurry spreader was developed, which spread the slurry near to the surface of the soil. First, the uniformity of slurry spreading was investigated. The best result of 8.1 % CV was obtained at the rotor speed of 250 rpm than any other speeds for the swine slurry, which contains 13.6% of dry matter. In case of dairy cattle slurry, which contains 8.2% of dry matter, the uniformity has the best result of CV 7.2% by high rotor speed of 330 rpm. A high speed of rotor has built a sufficient pressure in the distributor and discharged a uniform quantity of slurry through the hoses. Therefore, in practical use one should work with rotor speed over 300 rpm to maximize the uniformity of slurry spreading. Second, odor test was done with the swine slurry. While the conventional spreader shows ∑ value 440, the hose slurry spreader and its combination of disk harrow show ∑ value 258 and 184 respectively. With the air dilution sensual test and a 3-point odor bag, the conventional spreader shows 66.9 or 35.4 point and by the hose slurry spreader is 9.7 or 11.1 point. So, the developed spreader was found to have a greater effect on the reduction of odor problem. Finally, it is recommended to spread certain amount of the slurry for paddy field equivalent to the chemical fertilizer based on the N-content. It means 22 tons of swine slurry per ha. Since most of the livestock farms possess less arable land, a system of linking farms is necessary to utilize the slurry crossover the farms. The cost of slurry utilization including filling, transport spreading and brokerage is 3200-6800 Won/㎥ in accordance with the transport distance.

양돈장 분뇨의 부숙 과정에서 DO 변화와 EM의 첨가에 따른 오염물질 및 악취 저감효과의 비교 (Comparison of Reduction Effect of Contaminants and Odor According to DO Change and EM Addition in Maturation Process of Piggery Slurry)

  • It was compared the reduction effect of contaminants and odor according to DO change and EM (effective microorganisms) addition in maturation process of piggery slurry. The maturation processes were divided into three cases as follows: R-1 was operated at $2.5mg/{\ell}$ of DO without the addition of EM, R-2 was operated at $7.5mg/{\ell}$ of DO without the addition of EM and R-3 was operated at $2.5mg/{\ell}$ of DO with the addition of EM. The addition of EM was more effective than the increase of DO for the reduction of CODcr, $NH_3-N$ and T-N in the maturation of piggery slurry. In addition, the reducing effect of odor intensity appeared high even in the short-term maturation period in case of adding EM and one could not even smell the stimulating odor of piggery slurry.

광합성 세균을 이용한 고농도 양돈슬러리의 무취화 관리방안에 관한 연구 (Deodorization Management of Swine-Slurry by Addition of Phototrophic Bacteria)

  • This study was carried out to find deodorization effect of swine-slurry by addition of phototrophic bacteria(PTB). The pilot-scale reactors operation conditions was designed by the inoculum amounts of PTB and light-conditions. Treatment conditions was divided into 3 types; 106 MPN/ml$.$Dark(T-1), 108 MPN/ml$.$Dark(T-2), 108 MPN/ml$.$Natural light(T-3). The changes of the concentration of volatile fatty acids(VFAs), hydrogen sulfide(H2S), ammonia (NH3) and odor intensity were analyzed during the treatment period(35 days). From results of this study, the maximum intensity of odor in the headspace of the reactor T-1 was 4.82 and T-2, T-3 was 2.63, respectively. In swine-slurry of reactors used, it almost took 10 days until to be stabilized with solid and liquid phase. Intensity of odor in headspace was mainly derived from the liquid phase. The PTB inoculum method to swine-slurry was very effective in reduction of VFAs, H2S and Sulfate-reducing bacteria(SRB) concentration. Expecially, It was interested in reverse growth behaviour of SRB and PTB in these conditions.

양돈 슬러리에 첨가된 악취저감물질 수준별 휘발성 지방산과 휘발성 유기화합물 농도 비교 (The Effect of the Addition Levels of Odor Reducing Contents on the Concentration of Volatile Fatty Acid and Volatile Organic Compound in Pig Slurry)

  • This study was to investigate the effect of addition levels of odor reducing contents on reducing the concentration of odorous compounds. Slurry treatments included three levels mixture of horseradish powder (HP), mushroom waste (MW) and probiotics powder (PP), and non-treatment control (n=4 each group). Levels of odorous compounds were measured from the liquid slurry incubated in room temperature ($20{\sim}25^{\circ}C$) for 2 wk in chamber whose structure is similar to slurry pit. Concentration of phenols and indoles was lower (p<0.05) in level 1, which was mixed HP 0.01%, MW 0.4% and PP 0.004% (98.69, 1.87 ppm) compared to control. Short chain fatty acid (SCFA) and branched chain fatty acid (BCFA) was lowest (p<0.05) level 1 (6,557, 1675 ppm). Taken together, lower level are effective in reducing odorous compounds in pig slurry.

농가의 돈분액비 저장형태가 악취발생과 액비품질에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Storage Container Types on Odor Emission and Quality of Piggery Liquid Slurry Fertilizer in the farms)

  • 철원군의 모범적 사례로 평가받고 있는 돈분 액비화 사업이 전국으로 확산되고 있으나 최근 액비의 악취문제로 민원이 발생함에 따라 일부 돈본뇨 액비저장조가 가동되지 못하는 사례가 생기고 있다. 따라서 본 시험연구는 대표적 액비저장조의 유형에 따라 악취발생 정도와 액비의 품질을 비교 검토하고 각 저장형태에 따른 장단점을 분석하여 돈분저장조의 발전적 개선을 통하여 돈분 액비화사업의 활성화에 도움이 되고자 수행하였다. 액비 표면상으로 배출되는 악취가스농도는 무처리 저장조가 분사교반식/폭기식 저장조보다 높았으나 밖으로 풍겨 나오는 악취 감지정도는 분사교반식/폭기식 저장조가 무처리 저장조보다 높았다. 분사교반 또는 폭기처리한 액비는 액비품질의 균질도가 높은 반연 무처리 저장조의 액비는 상층, 중층, 및 저층 간의 성분함량 차이가 많아 무처리 액비는 시용시 작물의 균일한 생육이 어려울 것으로 생각되었다. 무처리 저장조는 배출액비의 악취발생 잠재능이 분사교반식 또는 폭기식 저장조의 액비보다 높아 실제 시용시 악취발생이 더 많을 것으로 추정되었다. 분사교반식 저장조는 액비에 이물질 혼입시 액비순환장치에 이상을 가져와 고장이 잦은 것으로 나타났고, 폭기식 저장조는 공기주입배관이 하나밖에 없어 전체액비에 폭기효과가 나타나지 못하는 것으로 추정되었다. 액비의 저장기간에 따른 유기물 및 건물중의 감소경향은 무처리 저장조에서는 뚜렷하였으나 분사교반/폭기처리 저장조의 감소경향은 일관성이 없었다. 무처리 저장조는 액비의 악취저감을 위하여 폭기 또는 교반시설을 추가하여야 할 것으로 생각되었다.

효소복합체가 양돈슬러리 및 돈사 악취발생에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Enzyme Complex on Odor Emission from Swine Slurry and Swine Buildings)

  • 본 연구는 효소복합체 처리가 양돈분뇨의 액비화 과정의 악취제어 가능성을 조사하기 위하여 액비저장 탱크에 4주간 저장하면서 효소복합체 처리, 폭기 처리, 효소와 폭기 동시 처리 및 대조구로 나누어 비교하였다. 또한 효소복합체를 돈사에 살포하여 돈사내 공기의 질과 양돈장 부지경계선에서의 복합악취농도를 조사하였는데, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 효소복합체와 폭기 처리는 양돈분뇨의 액비화 과정의 암모니아와 황화수소 농도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었으며, 암모니아와 황화수소 농도는 4주간의 액비화 과정 동안 지속적으로 감소되었다. 효소복합체의 일정 수준 처리는 양돈분뇨 액비화 과정의 악취저감을 위한 효율적인 수단이 될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 효소복합체와 폭기 처리는 양돈분뇨의 액비화 과정의 총질소, 총인 및 암모니아성 질소 농도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었으며, 효소복합체 처리는 양돈분뇨 액비의 품질 유지와 악취저감을 위한 하나의 기술적 대안으로 충분한 것으로 보인다. 효소복합체 살포는 돈사내 공기의 질을 개선하고 양돈장의 부지경계선에서의 복합악취 저감에도 효과적으로 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 요약하면, 효소복합체 처리는 양돈분뇨 액비화 과정의 악취제어와 고품질 액비제조 가능성이 인정되며, 돈사 내부 및 양돈장 환경개선과 악취저감 효과가 있는 것으로 판단된다.

A preliminary evaluation on mixed probiotics as an antimicrobial spraying agent in growing pig barn

  • The purpose of this study is to examine whether spraying an anti-microbial agent into the slurry pit will reduce the noxious odor substances from piggery barns. For this, a total of 200 crossbred ([Landrace × Yorkshire] × Duroc) growing pigs with an initial average body weight (BW) of 23.58 ± 1.47 kg were selected and housed in two different rooms, i.e. control (CON) and treatment (TRT). Each room has 100 pigs (60 gilts and 40 borrows). For a period of 42 days, all pigs were fed with corn-soybean meal-based basal diet. Later the noxious odor substances were measured by the following methods. First, fecal samples were randomly collected and stored in sealed and unsealed containers, and sprayed with the non-anti-microbial agent (NAMA) (saline water) and multi-bacterial spraying (MBS) agent (200 :1, mixing ratio-fecal sample : probiotic), Second, the slurry pit of CON and TRT rooms were directly sprayed with NAMA and MBS, respectively. The fecal sample that was stored in sealed and un-sealed containers and sprayed with MBS significantly reduced NH3 and CO2 concentration at the end of day 7. However, at the end of day 42, the fecal sample showed a lower H2S, methyl mercaptans, acetic acid, and CO2 concentration compared to the unsealed container. Moreover, at the end of days 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, and 42 compared to the CON room and TRT room slurry pit emits lower concentrations of NH3, acetic acid, H2S, and methyl mercaptans, and CO2 into the atmosphere. Based on the current findings, we infer that spraying anti-microbial agents on pig dung would be one of the better approaches to suppress the odor emission from the barn in the future.

음식물쓰레기와 돈분 액상물의 혼합부숙시 이화학적 특성 변화 (Physicochemical Changes of Food Waste Slurry Co-fermented with Pig Manure Slurry)

  • 돈분뇨 슬러리와 음식물쓰레기 자원화 과정에서 발생하는 액상물의 혼합 액비화를 통한 액비의 비료적 특성 및 액비의 악취 저감 특성을 검토하였다. 발효가 진행됨에 따라 음식물쓰레기 액상물 혼합비율이 높은 처리구에서 pH가 높아졌고 돈분뇨 슬러리 혼합비율이 높은 처리구에서는 낮아졌고, EC는 180일째에 모든 처리구에서 $21{\sim}23dS\;m^{-1}$로 안정되었다. 180일간 발효시키고 난 후에 질소성분은 최초 성분량의 20%까지 저하되었는데, 음식물쓰레기 액상물 50% 이상 혼합한 구에서는 비료공정규격에 미달되었다. 발효가 진행되면서 유기물, 인산, 석회, 고토성분은 감소되었고 칼리, 염분의 함량은 증가하였는데, 염분의 증가는 액비 발효과정 중 수분 증발에 따른 농축효과에 기인하였다. 악취 성분으로서 $NH_3$는 발효 초기 30일째까지 많이 발생하다 점차 감소하였고 돈분뇨 슬러리 혼합비율이 높을수록 오래까지 지속적으로 발생되었고, $R-NH_2$의 경우는 $NH_3$에 비해 발효기간이 길어져도 지속적으로 발생하였다. $C_2H_5SH$는 돈분뇨슬러리와 혼합처리구에서만 발생하였는데, 발효기간 180일이 지나도 지속적으로 발생되었다. 관능검사 결과 역시 돈분뇨슬러리 혼합처리구에서는 발효기간 180 일이 지나도 악취도가 1 이하로 저하되지 않았다. 현행 비료 공정규격상 악취강도 기준이 2 이하인 점과 질소성분의 휘산으로 인한 액비 중 T-N 성분 저하 등을 고려했을 때 이의 제어연구가 수행될 필요가 있었다.

호스지표살포기의 살포균일도 분석 (Analysis of the Spreading uniformity of House Slurry Spreader)

  • A new hose slurry spreader with improved spreading uniformity is developed to distribute the slurrynear to the soil surface and to reduce odor problems. The precision of distributed slurry was investigated using 3 types of slurry and found to be dependent on the rotor speed. For the solid matter separated fluid containing 0.1% of dry matter rotor speed of 150 rpm showed best uniformity with CV of 10% In the case of slurry from dairy cattle which contains 8.2% of dry matter high rotor speed of 330 rpm showed best result with CV of 7.2% Also swine slurry which has a 13.6% of dry matter content showed the best result of 8.1% CV at the high rotor speed of 250rpm. A high rotor speed generates enough pressure in the central distributor and as a result uniform distribution of slurry can be achieved. In conclusion it is highly recommended rotor speed of 300 rpm to get the best performance.
