고성능 콘크리트의 실용화를 위한 시공특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Workability for Practical Use of High-Performance Concrete)

  • The special requirements of high-performance concrete(HPC) could be enhanced property over others such as compressive strength, durability, and construction practices. In order to satisfy these requirements a series of laboratory trial mixes and following mock-up test of reinforced concrete wall at field were performed in this study. The objective of this study was to quantitatively evaluate the workability, compressive strength, and the increased heat of hydration caused by the increase of the specific weight of cement according to various variables. Six example series designed about a minimum compressive strength of 500kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 28 days, and an approximately slump and slump flow of 25cm and 60cm respectively were tested. The selection process of the specific weight of water and the percentage of fly-ash transposition determined to be most suitable for the production of HPC is presented in the following paper.

  • This paper presents the fundamental study on rational manu(acture of Very High Strength(VHS) concrete using industrial by-products as like silica fume, slag and fly ash. In this study, we had tested various mixing cases to manufacture the VHS concrete(target compressive strength : over 1,000 kgf/$cm^{2}$) which is easily workable (target slump flow : 60$\pm$l0cm), The main variables studied are; 1) test variables to find the optimum replacement ratio of mineral admixture, 2) test variables to find a rational water-binder ratio, a proper binder content, 3) test variables to find the method for reduction of slump loss, 4) test variables to know the influence of air entrainment on frost resistance. From the test results, it is concluded that the rational mix design can be made by using 40% slag, 10% silica fume, and water reducing agent(slump loss reduction type). We found that it is unnecessary to entrain air for freeze-thawing resistance.

  • This paper presents the fundamental study on rational manufacture of Ultra High Strength(VHS) concrete using industrial by-products as like silica fume, slag and fly ash. In this study, we had tested various mixing cases to manufacture the UHS concrete(target compressive strength : over $1,000kgf/cm^2$) which is easily workable (target slump flow : $60{\pm}10cm$). From the test results, it is concluded that the rational mix design can be made by using 40% slag, 10% silica fume. We found that compressive strength of UHS concrete increases according to decreasing W/B ratio but in W/B ratio 18~20%, the difference is vague and the compressive strength does not necessarily increase according to increasing binder content over 700kg.

고강도경량 자기충전콘크리트에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the High Strength Lightweight Self-Compacting Concrete)

  • 본 연구에서는 Nan-Su의 자기충전콘크리트(Self-Compacting Concrete)의 배합설계 방법중 주요인자인 골재 채움률(Packing Factor : PF)을 수정 및 보완한 배합설계 방법을 이용하여 고강도경량 자기충전콘크리트(High Strength Lightweight Self-Compacting Concrete)를 제조하고 자기충전성 및 역학적 특성을 검토하였다. 콘크리트의 자기충전성 평가는 Slump-flow, V-funnel 유하시간, Slump-flow mm도달시간 및 U-box 충전높이를 측정하여 일본토목학회(JSCE)의 자기충전콘크리트 기준 중 2등급 범위를 적용시켜 검토하였다. 고강도경량 자기충전콘크리트의 재령 뽀일 압축강도는 모든 배합에서 30MPa 이상으로 나타났으며, 압축강도와 쪼갬 인장강도 및 탄성계수의 비는 기존의 연구경향과 유사한 값을 나타내고 있었다 또한, 재령 28일 압축강도와 기건 단위용적질량은 다중회귀분석 결과 $f_c=-0.16LC-0.008LS+50.05(R=0.83)$$f_d=-3.598LC-2.244LS+2,310(R=0.99)$로 나타났다.

  • In these days, as building structures are getting taller, larger, and more diversified, structural systems with more economy and more efficiency are being required and so are more efficient building materials, this study conducted a basic experiment to conclude an adequate selection of materials and to calculate an optimal mixing proportion of those materials to produce High-strength concrete in a 100MPa of specified concrete strength. And also we conducted an experiment to find out basic properties of this concrete such as slump-flow, strength.

콘크리트 이어붓기 시공에 있어 차단성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Blocking Performance Considering Construction Joint of Placement)

  • This study is intended is to analyze the blocking performance with variation of the gap of bar and kinds of metal lath for construction joint when placing concrete. According to the results, passing ratio of concrete increases with increase of vibrating time. In the case of W/C 50%, when blocking concrete with bar of D10 and D20 which the gap of bar is below 200mm, or metal lath, passing ratio of concrete is below 10%, so blocking performance is favorable. In the case of W/B 30%, while concrete does not flow out without vibration at slump 21mm, concrete flows out at some degree before vibration at slump flow 65mm and then, as 5 seconds passes after first vibration, final passing ratio shows about 85~90%. When blocking concrete by bar D10 of the gap 20mm, bar D20 of the gap 10mm and metal lath, it is thought that concrete can be blocked effectively because final passing ratio is below 10%.

폴리카본산계 고성능감수제를 이용한 콘크리트의 초기강도에 따른 현장적용성 연구 (Study on the field application according to the early strength of the concrete admixed with polycarboxylate superplasticizer)

  • In this study, it is examined the properties of flow and early strength of concrete according to superplasticizer. For this experiment, it is analyzed that the flow and strength properties according to the mixture factors, compared with naphthalene superplasticizer(normal & delay type) focused on polycarboxylate superplasticizer. (1) The slump loss of concrete used polycarboxylate superplasticizer showed $4\~8cm$, it is judged that slump loss according to the time lapse can be minimized. (2) The performance of polycarboxylate superplasticizer is about $70\%$ level of the normal naphthalene type, it is superior to the delay type, but the performance showed so lowly. The 28days, early strength didn't differ according to the kind of superplasticizer.

고강도 경량 자기충전콘크리트의 성능평가 (Properties of High Strength Lightweight Self-Compacting Concrete)

  • Experimental tests on the high strength self-compacting concrete with light-weight fine aggregate and light-weight coarse aggregate(LHSSC) were performed with slump-flow, reaching time to the slump-flow of 500mm, V-funnel dropping time and U-box difference level and compressive strength. LHSCC with light-weight fine aggregate of 75% and light-weight coarse aggregate of 100% was only satisfied with the property conditions of second self-compacting concrete(SCC), like as flowability, resistance to segregation and filling ability. The 28-day compressive strength of LHSCC indicated above 300kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ in all concrete mixtures, and it was increased to increase the replacement ratio of light-weight fine aggregate or to decrease the replacement ratio of light-weight coarse aggregate. Therefore, for satisfying the properties of fresh SCC and hardened concrete with above 350kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$, it would expected that the replacement ratio of light-weight fine aggregate and light-weight coarse aggregate will be determined with 50~75% and 25~50%, respectively.

메타카올린의 강도특성에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Strength Feature of Metakaolin)

  • Metakaolin is a cementitious material for producing high-strength concrete. This material is now used as substitute for silica-fume. In this paper, we studied the properties of fresh concrete such as slump-flow, air content, and the feature of strength of hardened concrete according to the substitute ratio of metakaolin, silica-fume. In the fresh concrete test, the time depend loss of slump-flow & air content is good to 10-15% substitute ratio of metakaolin. And, in the strength test, 10-15% substitute ratio of metakaolin is good for producing high-strength concrete also. But, allowing for economical efficiency, we concluded that 10% is a adequate substitute ratio for producing high performance concrete.

  • The aim of this study is to develop High Performance Concrete, which can fill in every corner of forms without using any vibrators. In order to place concrete into reinforced members, concrete should have segregation resistance and high flowability. In this study, the binder of concrete, such as Ordinary Portland Cement, fly ash, and blast furnace slag, cement were mixed with the addition of superplasticizers and tested their flowability and segregation resistance using slump flow tester and L type flow tester. As a results, High Performance Concrete can be made using Portland blast furnace slag cement along with superplasticizers but the slump-loss of concrete is so large that measure should be made.
