로봇을 이용한 경막외마취 훈련기의 개발 (Development of a VR based epidural anesthesia trainer using a robotic device)

  • Robotic devices have been widely used in many medical applications due to their accuracy and programming ability. One of the applications is a virtual reality medical simulator, which trains medical personnel in a computer generated environment. In this paper, we are going to present an application, an epidural anesthesia trainer. Because performing epidural injections is a delicate task, it demands a high level of skill and precision from the physician. This trainer uses a robotic device and computer controlled solenoid valve to recreate interaction forces between the needle and the various layers of tissues around the spinal cord. The robotic device is responsible for generation of interaction forces in real time and can be used to be haptic guidance that allows the user to follow a previous recorded expert procedure and feel the encountered forces.

철도 기관사의 적성검사에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Aptitude Test for Train Drivers)

  • Since 1971, the aptitude test for domestic train drivers has been long maintained. With the revision of the Railroad Safety Act in 2006, the aptitude test was changed from the type of written and skill test into the type of question-and-answer and reaction test. However, the main structure of the test was not changed. In this paper, we focus our attention on the improvement of the present aptitude test. We surveyed on two groups, one is the railroad expert group and another is train driver's group, questioning about the importance of the domestic and foreign aptitude test items. Based on the analysis, we suggest desirable aptitude test system for the railroad safety.

비젼과 힘센서를 이용한 불균일 버의 디버링 가공 (Deburring of Irregular Burr using Vision and Force Sensors)

  • This paper presents an efficient control algorithm that removes irregular burrs using vision and force sensors. In automated robotic deburring, the reference force should be accommodated to the profile of burrs in order to prevent the tool breakage. In this paper, (1) The profile of burrs is recognized by vision sensor and followed by the calculation of reference force, (2) Deburring expert's skill is transferred to robot. Finally, the performance of robot is evaluated through simulation and experiment.

  • In line with the expansion of electric railway, reducing carbon emission and optimal train operation are required by economical, eco-friendly and efficient management. Most of the energy consumption in electric railway is consumed by train operation. So it is important that minimize the energy consumption in train operation. An analysis of the operation performance of the new model vehicle which in South Korea, Korail introduced shows that the energy consumption is different in line with the skill level of the engine driver. In this study, the know-how of train operation of a skilled engine driver is systematized by using artificial intelligence, and the technique which supports engine drivers with train operation was offered. As a result of applying in South Korea, the Gyeongbu line by using simulation, it confirmed that the maximum 20% can reduce the energy consumption in comparison with unskilled engine drivers in case of applying the Expert System.

기계공학수학의 현황 분석을 통한 개편안 제시 (Suggestions for Revision of Mathematics Curriculum by Analysis of Current Mechanical Engineering Mathematics)

  • Because all areas of mechanical engineering involves the use of mathematics, mechanical engineers need mathematical understanding and skill enhancement. To achieve the effective mathematics education for mechanical undergraduate students, it should reorganize the important subtopics of mathematics. In this paper, we explore the direction of the development of mathematics education for mechanical engineers by analyzing the teaching hours of each topics in the mathematics and by comparing the results with significance analysis of expert survey. To do so, syllabuses of mathematics courses of the selected mechanical engineering departments were analyzed and the survey responses of professionals in the Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers were also investigated. Finally, the revision of mathematics curriculum in the mechanical engineering was proposed.

인공지능 알고리즘을 이용한 최적 연삭 공정 설계 (Design of the Optimal Grinding Process Conditions Using Artificial Intelligent Algorithm)

  • The final quality of the workpiece is affected by the grinding process that has been conducted in final manufacturing stage. However the quality-satisfaction of ground workpiece depends on the skill of an expert in this process. Therefore, the process models of grinding have been developed to predict the states according to grinding process. In this paper, in order to find the optimized grinding condition to reduce the manufacturing expense and to meet requirements of ground workpiece optimization algorithm using E.S.(Evolutionary Strategy) is proposed. The proposed algorithm has been employed to find the optimal grinding and dressing condition using the grinding process models and nonlinear grinding constraints. The optimized results also presents the guide line of grinding process. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified through the experimental results.

학교급식 영양사가 인식하는 영양교사의 효과적인 직무수행을 위한 지식 및 기술의 요구도와 자기평가 (Requirements and Self-evaluation of Knowledge and Skills Necessary for Effective Nutrition Teachers Perceived by School Foodservice Deititians)

  • The purposes of the study were to identify knowledge and skill levels required for effective nutrition teachers and to compare perceived need and dietitians' self-evaluation of the knowledge and skills. A total of 60 knowledge statements and 70 skill statements associated with 11 job functional areas were specified through a literature review and expert panel reviews. A total of 457 dietitians working at school foodservices in Seoul and Gyeonggi province were surveyed using a self-administrated questionnaire and 148 responses were returned. Excluding responses with significant missing data, 142 responses were used for data analysis. In terms of knowledge, 'sanitation, food safety and employee safety(4.60)' category received the highest perceived need score, followed by 'nutrition education(4.56)' and 'nutrition counseling(4.45).' The knowledge category that received the highest self-evaluation was 'nutrition and menu management(3.66)' while the category that received the lowest self-evaluation was 'teaching practices(2.83).' In terms of skills, the highest perceived need was associated with 'nutrition education(4.49)', followed by 'sanitation, food safety and employee safety(4.46)' and 'nutrition counseling(4.39).' The dietitians rated their skills related to 'sanitation, food safety and employee safety(3.67)' the highest but their skills related to 'teaching practices(2.84)' the lowest. The dietitians' self-evaluated knowledge and skill scores were significantly lower than their perceived need of the knowledge and skills in all job functional areas(p<0.001). A quadratic analysis based on the requirement and self-evaluation of the knowledge and skills revealed that priorities of the education programs targeting school nutrition teachers or students preparing to be a nutrition teacher should be placed on improving knowledge and skills related to nutrition education, nutrition counseling, teaching practices, sanitation and employee safety, and nutrition and menu management. Educational programs for nutrition teachers should be designed to decrease the gaps between the need and self-evaluation of the knowledge and skills for effective nutrition teachers. The findings of the study can be used to develop education materials for nutrition teachers. The knowledge and skills identified in the study should be updated and revised regularly to reflect changes in regulations and current practices in school foodservice programs.

  • In general, stereolithography parts is not suitable for master pattern. Because of its bad surface roughness. Therefore, To reduce roughness it requires post-process that is depending on user skill and takes long time to do. This study aims to develop an expert system which can select an optimal build orientation, reduce roughness and shorten post-processing time. Genetic Algorithm was introduced for optimization. A simplified computation model was developed for real-time response. For accurate roughness estimation, mterpolation of experimental data was implemented.

  • 정보통신기술의 발전과 인터넷 보급 확산의 영향으로 디지털 범죄는 해마다 증가하고 있다. 고도화 전문화되어 가고 있는 디지털 범죄를 해결하기 위해서는 디지털 포렌식 프로세스 표준화, 전문가 양성 및 교육, R&D, 정부의 정책적인 지원 등 디지털 포렌식 기술 발전을 위한 노력이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내 디지털 포렌식 기술의 현황을 파악하고 발전방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The purpose of this research was to uncover the expertise of ICU nursing in Korea, and to describe nurses' practice based on the degree of skill acquisition. A total of 18 ICU nurses participated in the study. The data was collected through individual in-depth interviews and it was managed using the NUDIST 4.0 software program. The data was analyzed using interpretive phenomenology suggested by Benner. Four properties of expertise of ICU nursing were identified. These are 1) concern and love toward patients; 2) knowledge; 3) skill, and 4) abilities in interpersonal relationships. And the characterisitcs of four levels of skill acquisition, that is advanced beginner, competent, proficient, and expert, were described with exemplars. The results of this study might help nurse researchers clarify and elaborate on the concept of expertise in ICU nursing, and enable them to understand how the process of skill acquisition occurs in the ICU setting. They might also help nurse managers establish educational goals for ICU nursing for student or novice nurses.
