The pricing/lot-sizing problem of determining the robust optimal order quantity and selling price is discussed. The uncertainty of parameters characterized by an ellipsoid is explicitly incorporated into the problem. An approximation scheme is proposed to transform the problem into a geometric program, which can be efficiently and reliably solved using interior-point methods.

A statistical method was developed to examine the US navy women's sizing system. Subjects including 906 navy female personnels were classified into seven groups based on the body type. Regression analyses were performed within seven groups to determine the sizing system maximizing the fitness of clothing in each group. New parameters were developed and used to statistically investigate the fitness level based upon boty navy sizing system and regression based system in this study. A customizef SAS program was used to compute the fitness levels. Results indicated that the navy sizing system showed lower fitness level in most groups except Juniour than the regression based system. It was concluded that the current method with new parameters could be used as an objective tool to evaluate the existing or new sizing system. This method can be further validated in other sample populations.

The purpose of this study was to provide information on how to improve the current sizing system of infant coveralls through analysis of the present system. In order to compile the information about dissatisfaction with the appropriateness of the fit of infant coveralls, a questionnaire was administered to mothers of 241 infants (aged under 36 months) living in Seoul, and analyzed using the SPSS WIN.10.0 program. Also, the manufacturers'basic body sizes were investigated. The results of this study were as follows : 1. The results of the comparison between the manufacturers'basic body sizes and the body measurement values obtained as the physical standard of the nation(1997) show that in terms of length and hip circumference, the manufacturers'body sizes were larger. On the other hand, in the waist circumference, the manufacturers'body sizes were smaller than the national average. 2. Research on the production sizing system of domestic and international brands, showed that the sizing interval of domestic brands were 6 months, whereas the international brands were 3 months f3r infants under 12 months. 3. Concerning fit, the areas causing most dissatisfaction were: the trunk length, sleeve length, inside leg length, and neck depth. The results showed that dissatisfaction with the suitability of the sizing of current infant coveralls according to the body part differed among the groups according to the month of age.

This study aims to design a new sizing system for hygienic masks to protect against COVID-19-related respiratory disorders. The product sizes were collected from 70 commercially available hygienic masks, and 18 head measurements were obtained from the three-dimensional (3D) scan data of 2,048 men and women aged 20 to 69 years from the 6th Size Korea Survey. The statistical analysis was performed using the IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 28.0 program. The "bitragion-subnasale arc" and "menton-sellion length" were chosen as the key body dimensions for the hygienic mask sizing system. The linear regressions with 18 3D head measurements were analyzed, and it was determined that the key body dimensions were useful for statistically predicting other 3D head measurements related to hygienic masks. A new sizing system was proposed for two types of masks, "masks with a tight fit" and "masks with a loose fit," taking into account the existing Korean Industrial Standards (KS) and the shortcomings of the sizes of hygienic masks on the market. The sizing system for tight-fitting masks consisted of the key body dimensions, with their sizes indicated by a pair of numbers. The sizing system for loose-fitting masks consisted solely of the bitragion-subnasale arc, with their sizes denoted by letters such as S, M, and L (denoting small, medium, and large, respectively). Future studies should consider this mask sizing system for different age groups, such as children and adolescents.

In this study, It is suggested how to utilize hardware capacity sizing system for WEB, WAS, OLTP server's CPU, memory, and disk capacity by its user reasonably. To achieve goal of this study, we presented specific approaches in aspect of institutional viewpoint. The result of this study can be reflected gradually in the guideline of informatization related budgeting by MPB(Ministry of Planning and Budget) and e-government supporting program.

항공기 사이징은 항공기 설계에서 설계 및 임무 요구조건을 만족하기 위한 항공기의 무게를 계산하는 과정이다. 사이징 프로그램은 엔지니어가 기본적인 파라미터만 입력하면 내장된 코드에 의하여 자동적으로 사이징 과정을 수행하여 주는 프로그램을 말한다. 본 연구에서는 개발된 프로그램의 프로세스, 프로그램 구성을 설명하고 실행 예를 통하여 사용자가 편리하고 직관적으로 활용할 수 있는 사이징 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발 된 프로그램은 사이징 과정에서 편리한 임무작성, 입력된 임무에 따른 임무형상 도시, 그리고 사이징 및 임무해석결과를 한눈에 확인할 수 있는 것이 특징이다.

The purpose of this study was to provide information on how to improve both the satisfaction and the current sizing system for the school uniform focused on middle and high school boys' students. In order to collect the data, a questionnaire was administered to 451 middle and high school boy students. 228 middle school boys' and 223 high school boys' data were analyzed using the SPSS Win. 10.0 program. The results of this study were as follows : 1. For the satisfaction of their school uniform, there were statistical differences in mean of the group by the academic year in the jacket(color, textile, design, activity), shirt(color, design, activity), and pants(color, design, activity) in the case of middle school boys'. On the other hand, high school boys' evaluation of school uniform was significantly different in jacket(color), shirt(color, textile, design, activity), pants(design), and tie(color, textile, design) by the academic year. 2. For the evaluation of sizing fitness, the length of jacket and the breadth of sleeve in jacket, and the width of sleeve in blouse, the length of pants, and the width of pants were statistical differences in mean of the group in middle school boys' by the grade whereas there was no significant difference in high school students by the grade. 3. It was shown that more getting school uniform repaired after the point of purchase in both middle school and high school students was higher.

The problem of jointly determining a robust optimal bundle of price and order quantity for a retailer in a single-retailer, single supplier, single-product supply chain is considered. Demand is modeled as a decreasing power function of product price, and unit purchasing cost is modeled as a decreasing power function of order quantity and demand. Parameters defining the two power functions are uncertain but their possible values are characterized by ellipsoids. We extend a previous study in two ways; the purchasing cost function is generalized to take into account the economies of scale realized by higher product demand in addition to larger order quantity, and an exact transformation into an equivalent convex optimization program is developed instead of a geometric programming approximation scheme proposed in the previous study.
