Objective: The aim of this study is to develop a distributed representative human model(DRHM) generation and analysis system. Background: DRHMs are used for a product with multiple-size categories such as clothing and shoes. It is not easy for a product designer to explore an optimal sizing system by applying various distributed methods because of their complexity and time demand. Method: Studies related to DRHM generation were reviewed and the RHM generation interfaces of three digital human model simulation systems(Jack$^{(R)}$, RAMSIS$^{(R)}$, and CATIA Human$^{(R)}$) were reviewed. Results: DRHM generation steps are implemented by providing sophisticated interfaces which offer various statistical techniques and visualization methods with ease. Conclusion: The DRHM system can analyze the multivariate accommodation percentage of a sizing system, provide body sizes of generated DRHMs, and visualize generated grids and DRHMs. Application: The DRHM generation and analysis system can be of great use to determine an optimal sizing system for a multiple-size product by comparing various sizing system candidates.

Product shortage which causes backordering and/or lost sales cost is very popular in chemical industries, especially in commodity polymer business. This study deals with backordering cost in the supply chain optimization model under the framework of process-inventory network. Classical economic order quantity model with backordering cost suggested optimal time delay and lot size of the final product delivery. Backordering can be compensated by advancing production/transportation of it or purchasing substitute product from third party as well as product delivery delay in supply chain network. Optimal solutions considering all means to recover shortage are more complicated than the classical one. We found three different solutions depending on parametric range and variable bounds. Optimal capacity of production/transportation processes associated with the product in backordering can be different from that when the product is not in backordering. The product shipping cycle time computed in this study was smaller than that optimized by the classical EOQ model.
This study examined the effect of face sensitivities on a consumer's choice of luxury product's logo size. To answer the research question, an experimental design was planed and conducted where the stimulus for the experiment comprised two luxury brands, Louisvuitton and Couronne. For each brand, three different sizes of a logo were considered; no logo, logo with small size, and logo with big size. Each product has an identical design, color, and size except for the size of logos. A total of 115 students were enrolled in the experiment to select one of the logo sizes in each brand. Through the data analysis, we found that shame consciousness and consciousness for others among face sensitivities were significantly associated with the choice of a logo size both in Louisvuitton and Couronne. In addition, there was no significant difference in face sensitivities between male and female, but was significant difference in the choice of a logo size between male and female.

In order to keep global competitiveness, most of small and medium size manufacturing companies require to equip a product information management system which collects and analyzes the data generated at the manufacturing lines and then provides information for manager or worker to make a decision. However, these companies have a cost problem for adopting the enterprise resource planning system mostly used in large companies. To overcome this problem, we suggest an IOCP-based server for the product information management system suitable for small and medium size manufacturing companies. The basic concept of suggested server is that it is possible to process concurrently the connection requests coming from data collector and client by using the facility of asynchronous notification of OS and protect a server against overload by using the thread pool.
This study intended to explore fundamental causes affecting consumers' response actions from psychological factors in the situation of sellout occurring during shopping in online fashion stores. In addition, this study devised a virtual online shop in order to measure consumers' cognitive and emotional psychological responses they experienced when goods were sold out. The subjects involved women in 20s~30s, major customers of online shopping, and the subjects were randomly allocated to one of eight questionnaire forms (2(stockout size: high vs low)${\times}2$(product assortment similarity: similar vs. dissimilar)${\times}2$(restocking cue: included vs excluded)). The number of final data used for the analysis was 336 and through SPSS 21.0 program, two-way ANOVA and bootstrap were utilized. The analysis result was that consumers' psychological responses (emotions, psychological reactance) of online shops differed by means of varying stockout situations. The stockout size had positive effect on psychological reactance and negative emotions. On the other hand, there was no difference in positive emotions (arousal) according to stockout size. In stockout situation of online fashion store, the moderating effect of product assortment similarity and restocking cues were verified. According to the analysis result, interaction effects between stockout size and restocking cues, product stockout size and product assortment for psychological reactance were significant. Lastly, the mediation effect of psychological reactance and emotion between stockout size and behavioral response was tested. As a result, the moderated mediation effects of psychological reactance for substitute were significant when product assortment was dissimilar and restocking cue was exclude.
Bayer process is based on the extraction of aluminium trihydroxide from bauxite. The process is operated with the several criteria such as primary crystal size, particle size distribution and yield etc.. In this study basing on the previous results, an investigation on the effect of chemical grade and smelting grade aluminium trihydroxide precipitation condition were undertaken. As a result, particle size was 42∼44${\mu}$m form chemical grade product and 74∼77${\mu}$m for smelting grade product. The yield and solubility by acid of chemical grade product was higher than smelting grade product. The attrition index of smelting grade product was lower than that of other commercial product because primary crystal size of the smelting grade product was small.
The purpose of this study is to investigate various information relating to research on the dimensions of clothing used in the sale of products via the internet that used to target global SPA((Specialty Store Retailer of Private Label Apparel) brands sold in Korea. A total of 12 SPA brands including seven global SPA brands and five national. SPA brands were surveyed in this study. Brands were chosen net sales and consumer preferences the last three years. In all SPA brands, literal size designation such as S, M, L and numeric size designation such as 0, 2, 4 or 32, 34, 36 etc. were mixed, but in case of Jean, the size codes mark waist circumference were dominant. European size codes were more common in case of European brands while literal codes were more dominantly used for American size codes with in the US brands. By reviewing the measurement information of the body and product size, the product measurement methods of UNIQLO, FOREVER 21 and TOPTEN were much more accountable and excellent than other brands. However, most of the others didn't offer proper information such as pictograms or figures about measurement methods relating body sizes and product sizes. In addition, most of global SPA brands offered size conversion chart which consumers could reference, however of none of the national SPA brands offered a conversion size chart on their website. Regardless of the type of clothing, the coverage of clothing size was higher than in global SPA brands such as H&M GAP compared to national SPA brands. In particular, 8seconds did not present apparel size ranges that fit consumers' individual clothes sizes.
In this study, we surveyed the current status and sizing system of the custom dress shirts sold through online shopping, compared with the sizing system of the ready-made dress shirts. We tried to collect the information needed to make the well fitted dress shirts for middle-aged men from this study. The 17 online custom dress shirt brands were selected and the sales type, sales price, design options and size options of each brand were analyzed. The sizing systems of online custom dress shirt brands were compared with the sizing system of the 10 ready made dress shirt brands. The result showed that online custom dress shirts brands offered a variety of design options and size options to meet the consumers' individuality, taste and demand for good fit. In the ready-made brands, all 10 brands were using the same size notation system. In the same size designation, the difference in product size among the ready-made brands showed a tendency to be smaller than the online custom brands. The online custom brands had the different size notation system among brands. The size notation, the number of size designation and the size interval were different for each brand. Also, in the online custom brands, the product size among brands differed from each other in the same size designation. Therefore, the standardized size information and sizing system for middle-aged men that could be used as criteria when making the product size and pattern design in online custom brands were needed.

This study collected and analyzed reference information on the size labeling method and size of clothing products in 13 online shopping malls for plus size women in their 20s and 30s, and compared the size specification information focusing on jeans. First, in the results of examining the method of clothing size designation, clothing sizes indicated by 1, 2, 3 or physique designation (M, L, XL) differed between shopping malls, and even in the same shopping mall, even if the same size notation was used. Most the clothing sizes were different depending on the type of clothing. For bottoms, it was found that one company used seven size designation methods at the same time, two shopping malls used four size designation methods, and five shopping malls used three size designation methods. In the meantime, in the results of comparing the size specifications of jeans XL (size 88, 32 inches) by product part, for waist and hip circumferences, each of the eight companies showed that the size was smaller than the body size suggested by KS adult women's wear.

This study used data from a survey of adult Korean women in their twenties to learn their current practices for wearing and purchasing tight-fit jeans available on the market as well as perceptions regarding size measurements and satisfaction levels. We then determined product sizes and pattern measurements for the type of jeans worn. This study also analyzed discrepancies in product size measurements among brands to determine whether the measurements were generally suitable for average body shapes and measurements of women in their twenties. The study results were as follows. First, the survey asked women in their twenties about current practices in wearing jeans. Many respondents answered that their preferred fit is "a perfectly snug fit" and that the most common fit style of jeans was the skinny fit. Second, we selected a test pair of jeans with an identical fiber content from brands that women prefer to wear, according to the survey results. We researched the product measurements of the size respectively labeled 27 inches for each of the 8 brands' test jeans; consequently, the results showed that there were significant differences among the brands in the product measurements of each part of jeans. Third, we analyzed the pattern measurements of 8 selected brands for each area and identified pattern characteristics by brand.
